Dr. Susan Richardson Overstreet is a lifelong resident of Richmond. Following in the foot steps of her father, Dr. Frank Richardson, she attended Randolph Macon College in Ashland and finished with her B.S. degree in Dental Hygiene at VCU in 1987. In 1992 she received her D.D.S degree from VCU, graduating with honors. Dr. Richardson Overstreet taught, part time, at the VCU school of Dentistry for five years. Dr. Richardson Overstreet is a member of the Virginia Dental association, the Richmond Dental Society, and the Spear Study Club.
Douglas Overstreet attended Virginia Tech and graduated with honors from MCV/VCU in 1992. He is a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the Richmond Dental Society, the Virginia Dental Association, and the Spear Study Club. He is also a participant in Mission of Mercy projects and Donated Dental Services.
Dr. Overstreet has lived nearly his entire life in Richmond. He married Dr. Susan Richardson- Overstreet in 1991. In his spare time, Dr. Overstreet enjoys college athletics, traveling, hiking & is passionate about photography.

Called the office at 8:15am because I chipped two teeth the night before. I was told to come right away, and they had me patched up within twenty minutes! Great staff, wonderful dentist and hygienist. I think I found our new dental office.

I had another great appt with Dr Overstreet this afternoon. I was having an old crown replaced and it was virtually painless. I would give a 10+ rating to both Dr Overstreet and Dr Richardson. Both are excellent dentists. Everyone there is so professional, including the Dental technicians and Office Staff. If you are new to the Richmond area or maybe searching for a new practice, I highly recommend River City Dentists.

Very well front desk receptionists. Excellent hygienist. Dr Richardson is so sweet. It only took 30 minutes to reinstall my crown fell off 2 days ago and when I called the office found a way to sneak me in. Thank you for an excellent job.

I've been going to this practice almost since they were opened over 20 years ago. Doc Doug and his team are awesome. They are thorough, compassionate and patient - always explaining every step they are doing, and how we can continue to have good dental hygiene. Their practice is clean and up to date. Their scheduling is very flexible, and their billing and insurance coordination are well done. I'd highly recommend them to anyone.
