Dr. Leah K. Lovett is a graduate of the University of Florida College of Dentistry, graduating in 2006. Before attending dental school, she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences at the University of Florida in 2001. Her education and experience have allowed her to offer exceptional care to her patients over the past 11 years.
Dr. Lovett has been recognized as one of Jacksonville's Top Dentists as featured in Jacksonville Magazine for the past 3 years: 2015, 2016, and 2017, and is a member of the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, the North East District Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry and the Guild of Dental Scholars.
Dr. Lovett started her dental career in 1996 as a Certified Dental Assistant, working part-time throughout her college years. She has always loved the field of dentistry, and is very pleased to be able to offer the highest quality dental care in a state-of-the-art facility. Dr. Lovett opened River City Dental, the first and only privately owned dental office located in the River City Marketplace, in 2011. Dr. Lovett was born and raised in Ocala, FL and has been married to husband, Paul, a Jacksonville native, for 16 years. They have two young boys, Aden and Evan, and two beagles: Levi and Lily, and enjoy many outdoor activities. Dr. Lovett and her team would like to extend a warm welcome to those patients who are new to our practice, River City Dental!
Dr. Mularkey joined River City Dental in 2016 after graduating from the prestigious University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Prior to dental school, Dr. Mularkey received her Bachelor's degree in Biology from UNC Chapel Hill. Dr. Mularkey is originally from Winston-Salem, NC, and developed a love for dentistry early on through visiting her dentist for multiple, intensive procedures. She understands what it is like to be a dental patient, and treats her patients with the utmost care and concern for their well being, and enjoys establishing real relationships with each one of them. Dr. Mularkey is a member of the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, the North East District Dental Association, and the Guild of Dental Scholars.
Throughout her college years, Dr. Mularkey visited Jacksonville many times and fell in love with the area. Now a Floridian, she enjoys spending time with her husband of 2 years, Shane, and their dog Zeus at the beach, and participating in many outdoor activities such as paddle boarding, riding bikes, collecting shark's teeth and sea glass.

I went in for a deep cleaning. I was scared because a couple years ago I had this done by a different dentist and it was the worst experience I had ever had. The ladies at the front desk are so kind and always smiling. I wish I could remember the ladies name who did my cleaning because she was amazing. She calmed my nerves. I never felt a thing. I definitely recommend River City Dental.

Beautiful wonderful experience I am scared of the X-ray ouch this was the first dental office that cared enough to go 10 and above to make my appointment enjoyable Clean friendly this is why I chose them From the front office to the back absolutely fabulous

Had a great experience. Kelly was super sweet, gave me great dental tips and made my experience super smooth. Office was very clean, and i was brought back in a timely manner. Office staff super sweet upon check-in. The dentist i saw was very nice also. Will definitely be back.

We recently moved into the area and needed a dentist for our family. I was very fortunate to find River City Dental. I went for my 1 year checkup and they were great!!! Everyone is pleasant, helpful and professional. We are raising our 3 grandchildren and now the kids love to go to the dentist!!! I can't say enough good things about these guys!!!

I love and trust RiverCity Dental to take care of all of my dental needs. The dentists and their staff are knowledgeable and professional and very friendly. This dental group makes you feel like family. Kelly is amazing and I feel loved and valued when I am having my teeth cleaned by her. They regularly update my medical information to more efficiently take care of me. I am so thankful that my husband and I chose this dentist. Dr. Lovett is very thorough in her treatment options. So, I would highly recommend this dentist to you. You will be glad that you chose this dentist too.

This is the ONLY dentist office I'll ever go to. Everyone is absolutely wonderful and they work as a team. Kelly and Dr. Mularkey are the two I've had the pleasure to enjoy the most contact with, and they are everything you would hope in a dentist team. They will have my business as long as I have a smile. (Which they made better)

Let me start off by saying that I have always had horrible Dentist experiences. I've also neglected my dental care for about 8 years. I let the office staff know upfront that I was anxious and had not had a good run... WOW. Never again will I go to another dentist. Everyone - every single person - is so kind and authentic. No one talks down to you, condescends, or judges. They're truly just happy you're there, and happy to help you. If you have a question, they stop what they're doing and make sure it's explained fully before continuing. If everyone had a dental office like this, fewer people would be afraid of the dentist! They've gone above and beyond to help me make a care plan and explain how insurance works, add in my secondary insurance when it came in. 10/10 recommend!

Update: I was premature on my review. I was initially happy with River City, especially with Kelly the hygienist. Kelly is the best. After several crowns I will have to lower my initial review. The work that Dr. Lovett did for me is the worst I have gotten thus far. Every time I eat food collects between my teeth. It is maddening. I have to have floss ready each time I eat. The contacts between the teeth are too wide. I moved-on to another dentist.

Update: Visited River City Dental yesterday, March 16, 2021 for an annual checkup and cleaning. Kelly Reid, one of the hygienist is super, wonderful and gave me a good cleaning! Dr. Hanna Mularkey is a great dentist and very personable. The ladies at the front desk are always welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend this practice! Much thanks for taking the care that you do! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- New patient this May and I had a loose crown. When I called the office for an appointment and verified they took my insurance, the receptionist was very professional and understanding. She got me in the very next day and I saw Dr. Malarkey. All I have to say is wow!! super dentist office. We just moved into the area 6 months ago and had been with my previous in OKC since 2003 and thought he was good. But River City Dental was way more superior. I have to go back in a couple weeks to get the permeant crown put on, but don't expect anything less than superior service. Oh by the way, Dr. Malarkey has been in practice for only 3 years, but again, she is a true professional, explained the procedure very well and was super friendly! A+++
