Dr. Scott Clemons has a Bachelors Degree from Luther College, and later went on to achieve his Dental degree from the University of Iowa. He graduated from the University of Iowa in 1993 and conducted post-graduate work for a year, completing the Advanced Education in General Dentistry Program in 1994.

Dr. Clemons owned a private practice in Iowa City from 1994-2012. During that time Dr. Clemons was an adjunct professor at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in both operative and family dentistry. He moved to Los Angeles to start a practice in 2013-2015. Dr. Scott Clemons is a member of the ADA, IDA, University District, and is a Clear Correct Certified and Invisalign Certified Provider.

In high school, he assisted his father who was a general dentist and he enjoyed the detailed work and satisfaction of helping people so he decided to become a dentist himself. His patient philosophy is to treat patients with kindness and respect while providing comfortable, affordable and the best dental care possible.

Ann is starting her 38th year as a full time dental hygienist. Born and raised in Dubuque, Iowa she graduated from the University of Iowa in 1983 with a Bachelors Degree in Dental Hygiene. Ann moved to Illinois after graduation and practiced dental hygiene in both a private general practice as well as a periodontal specialty setting. In 2001 Ann moved back to Iowa City to be closer to home and joined the family atmosphere at River City Dental Care. For the past 20+ years she has cultivated long standing relationships with many patients treating their dental needs and helping them achieve their dental goals. When she is not working you will likely find her at an Iowa sporting event especially during basketball season. She has had womens basketball season tickets with her twin sister for the past 20 years and loves cheering on the Hawkeyes.

Jaime has been a Registered Dental Hygienist with River City Dental Care since 2017. She graduated Carl Sandburg College in Galesburg, IL with an A.A.S in Dental Hygiene in 2015. One of her most favorite aspects of the job is getting to know her patients and making them feel comfortable in the dental chair. She wants every patient to know that they are valued and will receive the highest quality of care while at River City. Jaime likes to place an emphasis on patient education by recommending new methods and products that can be used to improve her patients oral health. In her free time, Jaime likes to spend it with her husband, daughter, and pets. Some of her other interests include all things Disney, horseback riding, reading, and photography.

Natalie has been a full time Hygienist for the last 5 years. She grew up in Wapello, IA and attended high school there as well. Natalie received her Dental Hygiene education from Carl Sandburg College in Galesburg IL. She currently resides in North Liberty IA. Even though her career with River City Dental Care has just begun she is excited for the opportunities she will get and the new patients she will meet! Natalie enjoys educating patients on their oral health habits and needs. Outside of work you may find Natalie out camping or fishing in the local area. Natalie also enjoys going to theater/musical shows all year around.

At River City Dental Care we provide exceptional quality and prevention-oriented dental care, utilizing the latest techniques and state of the art equipment. We do this in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere, with convenient hours and plenty of free parking.

The main level of our building is devoted to patient care, with nine operatories, equipped with chair side computers, televisions and DVDs to provide interactive communication and patient education. We offer digital radiography, which provides minimal x-ray exposure to patients and exceptional imaging for diagnostics.

The dentist can project the patients own digital x-rays up on the television screen and have the capability to zoom in on specific areas of need, to show the patient why a diagnosis has been made and explain fully what treatment is recommended. The patient can then watch an educational presentation on procedures that are indicated, so they have a better understanding and can work with their dentist on their plan of treatment.

The televisions are also popular with the kids for watching animated videos during their treatment. Our patients have the choice of listening to music on the overhead speakers or they can pick from our list of available tape recordings and use a headset for their personal listening pleasure during treatment. We want your visit to be as relaxing as possible.

Each treatment room has its own self-contained water unit that runs through the waterlines of the dental equipment.These units are filled daily with distilled water. The waterlines are also flushed with an approved disinfectant.

Our sterilization center was designed to meet all OSHA and Blood Borne Pathogen guidelines, so as to provide the best practices in infection control. The room is divided into specific areas for contaminated instruments and sterilized instruments. We have an ultrasonic sink which cleans instruments and helps prevent injuries to employees. Our autoclaves are monitored on a regular basis by an independent laboratory.

Our staff members wear scrub uniforms, which they change into at the start of their shift. These are laundered daily on site, according to OSHA and Blood Borne Pathogen Guidelines. Gloves and masks are worn for all procedures. We have annual CPR training onsite for all employees, as well as an annual review and testing of all OSHA guidelines.
