Risinger Orthodontics was first started by H.L. Risinger in 1966. Dr. H.L. Risinger served families throughout the Hill Country until he retired in 1998 and passed the torch to his son Brad A. Risinger DDS, MSD. Not only does Dr. Brad Risinger carry on his fathers orthodontic practices in Kerrville, Bandera and Uvalde; but he also carries on his fathers heart for the children and the families he serves in our community.
Dr. Brad Risinger was born and raised in Kerrville, Texas. He graduated from Tivy High School in 1987 and then earned his Bachelor of Science degree from San Angelo State University. Dr. Risinger graduated from University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1994. Upon completing his dental degree, he went on to obtain his Masters of Science degree in orthodontics from Saint Louis University and graduated in 1997. Dr. Risinger currently serves as the Vice President of the Heart of Texas Dental Society and is an active member of American Association of Orthodontics, Texas Dental Association, and Southwestern Society of Orthodontics, UT Health Science Center Alumni, and Saint Louis University Alumni.

I am a registered nurse that has been under Dr. RISINGER care for a year. I am more than happy to place a positive review for his utmost professionalism and excellent honesty and care. In 2021 I thought about getting braces but I was apprehensive because I am 50years old and my self esteem was down the tubes. Yet when I spoke with Dr. Risinger he was transparent and told me exactly what was involved in both his practice and my part. After 1 year I would like to let you know Sunday October 9 I had a patients family member look right at me and tell me what beautiful feature I had with my braces. After a year of what I've been through made me feel so happy. She told me I looked 30 and not only that I've lost 10lbs from having braces and my facial features have improved. It wasn't easy at first . But having braces at 50 was the best decision I ever made. Improved my health, my self esteem and I am grateful to God. Let me just also say that My monthly visits with Dr. Risinger have been so pleasant ,quick, and progressive. Thank you to Dr. Risinger and his staff for helping me move forward and being so kind to me.

In this day and age we live in a numbers driven society. You go into the doctors office and you are just a number to them. They give you a few minutes of their time and rush you out. Although they are efficient, this is definitely NOT the case with Dr. Risinger and his staff. I've been to many doctors in town and they are by far one of the friendliest and genuine around. They give you that "small town, really care about you" feeling and he goes out of his way to explain the process every step of the way. I absolutely recommend Dr. Risinger to anyone looking for an orthodontist. UPDATE: Over two years in now. The braces are off and we are in the final stages of the procedure. I just had to come back up update my review and say that it's still that good! Friendliest, call you by name when you enter, greeted with smile, do what it takes to make sure your taken care of attitude! Do you hear what I'm saying? This team is awesome! Go get your teeth fixed already!

The entire office staff was great! They explained everything to my daughter start to finish when putting her braces on this week. Her comfort level and gaining her trust were very important, and it showed. She left a happy kid with braces! Thank you for making the process less stressful for us all!!

Living in a small town with two well known and well spoken of Orthodontics offices, (there may be more)???... it was rather difficult to choose where to take my daughter to get her braces. After a quick Facebook poll I went with Dr Risinger. (I am not at all comparing the two, since I have no experience with the other ). But, Dr Risinger and his staff have not only been around for centuries, they have proudly helped kids and adults both retain a beautiful smile. His staff has always welcomed us personally and with a kind word. He makes it a point to make his patients feel at ease and he's just a likeable guy. My daughter, Ariyah has enjoyed her visits each time and truly likes each of the staff there. I recommend Dr Risinger hands down, for your orthodontic needs.
