Dr.Ronald K. Risinger, a native of Orange, Texas, graduated from Orangefield High School in 1981. He attended Lamar University and received his dental degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1988, graduating with honors. In 1989, Dr. Risinger was recognized as a distinguished graduate from an U.S. Air Force general practice residency program at Chanute Air Force Base, Illinois. He practiced general dentistry in the Air Force for five years, serving at Edwards Air Force Base, California.
Dr. Risinger was selected by the Air Force to receive advanced training in the specialty of orthodontics. After three years of intensive study, he graduated with a masters degree and an orthodontic specialty certificate from the University of North Carolina in 1996. Upon graduation, Dr. Risinger served a three-year tour as an orthodontist with the Air Force in Tokyo, Japan.
Dr. Risinger has received numerous professional awards and is a published author in several international dental journals. He has also been an invited lecturer at national and international orthodontic meetings. Dr. Risinger is board certified with the American Board of Orthodontics, and a member of the American Association of Orthodontists and the American Dental Association. Dr. Risinger is a past-president of the Southeast Texas Dental Society and a member of the Texas Dental Association.
Dr. Risinger opened his private practice in orthodontics in August 1999 in Beaumont, Texas. In 2002, he opened a satellite office in Port Arthur, Texas. He is honored to have treated over 9,000 patients in Southeast Texas over the last 17 years.
Dr. Risinger is married to Lynn Risinger, and has one daughter, Brittney, and two sons, Dane and Logan. Brittney graduated from Lamar University in 2012 and now works in the fashion industry. Dane is a Sophomore at Baylor University, where hes studying to be an orthodontist. Lastly, Logan is a busy 9th grader, playing golf and basketball for Orangefield.
Dr.Michael F. Nelson is a native of Southern California. After graduating from Burbank High School, he attended Brigham Young University, where he graduated in with a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1996. During his time at BYU, he took a two year break for a church service mission in France and Belgium.
Dr. Nelson returned to Southern California to attend dental school at University of California, Los Angeles. He graduated in 2001 as part of the honor society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon. Dr. Nelson served his Orthodontic and Pediatric Dental residency at UCLA, the only program of its kind in the country. He completed his residency in 2004 and began his private practice in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Dr. Nelson is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, American Association of Pediatric Dentists, and Texas Dental Association. He currently serves on the board of the Dental Society of Southeast Texas as President-Elect.

Our situation has been very unique & somewhat challenging, but everyone has been absolutely top notch! We have seen amazing results for my son. Every assistant has gave so much love, kindness & comfort to my boy! We love Dr Nelson as well & appreciate all his knowledge & effort put into the right treatment plan.

Dr Risinger and all staff are very professional. They are willing to coordinate care with my daughters dentist. They all take time to explain the plan of care to my daughter, making her and myself very comfortable with the care they provide.

My daughter was so nervous about getting braces. Dr. Nelson and Shelby made her feel great by talking her through step by step. She had a wonderful experience. I highly recommend Dr. Nelsons office for any orthodontist needs.

I had a very pleasant experience using this dentist office. They are very nice and professional. They also have very up-to-date equipment. they were very kind and considerate of anything I ask for and they were very personable with my child. They talked to him like he was a person and provided a lot of patient teaching. Highly recommend their office and I will use them for any future needs with my other children as well.

Love this orthodontist! They have the most advance technology, they are very kind and really want to make sure you understand everything. They are also able to work you in quickly. My 11 year old was very nervous and they made sure she was comfortable the entire time.

My son and I moved to Texas from Louisiana with my son in braces. I don't think I could've found a better orthodontist than Dr Risinger! He and his staff were amazing. Though today was the first visit, they made us feel like we've been there the entire time. The office is impeccable and beautiful too! Very impressed.
