Dr. Sara Haines is a native of Millersburg Pa. She is a 2003 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and a 2009 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. She has been in practice at Rising Sun Dental Care since June of 2009. While at Pitt, Dr. Haines served as the President for the American Student Dental Association and was a representative to the American Dental Education Association. She was honored with the Herman Langcamp Student Award, The American Student Dental Association award, and awarded a Certificate of Recognition for excellence in Implant Dentistry. Dr. Haines is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Pennsylvania Dental Association and is a leader for her local Harrisburg Area Dental Society

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Howard, two daughters, Makayla and Cameron, stepson, Caleb and their son Tyler. They enjoy skiing and playing with their golden retriever Rambo.

Dr. Oware is originally from Koforidua, Ghana which is the capital of the eastern region in southern Ghana. He and his family moved to the United States when he was only six years old and they made their new home base in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. He attended Rutgers University where hestudied Biology with a minor in Psychology. He went on to attend the Maurice H. Kornberg School of Dentistry at Temple University where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2020.

Dr. Oware is committed to providing high quality, state of the art dental care to all his patients. His philosophy of care is one which is built upon mutual trust, respect, compassion, and understanding. He believes it is imperative to understand each patients wants and needs to develop an individualized treatment plan. Dr. Oware is sensitive to patients who have high levels of anxiety and is determined to assist them in feeling comfortable in the dental office and providing them with the care they need. He is passionate about learning and is committed to attending continuing education courses to ensure that he is well rounded and maintains his finger on the pulse of the latest trends in dentistry. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Pennsylvania Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Pennsylvania Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Oware is also currently studying to obtain his certificate as a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry! This qualification is only held by 6% of Dentists in the country.

He believes in giving back and making a difference in peoples lives on both the local and global levels. You will find him volunteering at the New Jersey food bank and soup kitchen during the holiday seasons and he has also worked with Habitat for Humanity to build homes for low-income families. His family was able to fund and build a library in Ghana and Dr. Oware serves as an advocate for literacy. He supports his uncles endeavors to collect books for the African Book Challenge (ABC) to grow the librarys collection of literature. One day, Dr. Oware also hopes to establish a doctor without borders site in Ghana to help deliver much needed dental care. It is often difficult to find and receive dental care in Ghana unless you live close to a major city.

In his free time, Dr. Oware enjoys exercising, playing volleyball, soccer, and hiking. Acadia National Park was his most recent adventure! He takes great pleasure in woodworking and using the lathe. He believes there is nothing more satisfying than using a fallen tree to make something useful.You might also find Dr. Oware spending time with his nieces and nephews! A good game of hide and seek is customary for their visits.

Rambo was born and raised in Millersburg, PA. We welcomed him to the team in 2018. Some of his favorite things are belly rubs, snacking, playing and sleeping. Rambo is an important part of the team... He keeps our patients calm and happy!

Rachael grew up in Halifax, PA and currently lives in Millersburg, PA with her two daughters, Ariana and Rylee. She graduated from Halifax High School and continued her education at Central Penn College .We welcomed Rachael to the team in September 2014.She loves interacting with the patients and making them feel at ease. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, singing like a 'rock star' with her daughters, camping and going mudding.

Paige grew up in Carrollton, MO and currently lives in Millersburg, PA with her husband, Glendon, daughter, Nora, two cats, Jasper and Penelope and two dogs Gus and Maisy. We welcomed Paige to the team in August 2019. Paige enjoys building new relationships with the patients she is meeting here at Rising Sun Dental Care. In her free time she enjoys travelings, reading and working on her blog.

Heather grew up in Dalmatia, PA and currently lives in Millersburg, PA with her husband, Troy, daughter, Ella and the 'cranky' cat, Cinder. She graduated from Line Mountain High School and continued her education at Harrisburg Area Community College. We welcomed Heather to the team in 2007. She loves when patients have heavy tarter, she calls it their 'mini makeover.' In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, swimming and kayaking.

DeAnna lives in Lykens, PA with her husband, Kirk, son, Silas and their two cats, Drake and Odin. She graduated from Williams Valley in 2007. She later graduated from Harrisburg Area Community College in May of 2015 with her Associates Degree. We welcomed DeAnna to the team in 2016. In her spare time she enjoys gardening, reading, and spending time with her husband and family.

Erin was raised in Halifax, PA and currently lives in Millersburg, PA with her husband, Kyle and their 4 children Aidan, Alana, Alijah and Alan. She graduated from Halifax High School and continued her education at Harrisburg Area Community College . She graduated from the Dental Hygiene Program in 2003. We welcomed Erin to the team in September 2018. She and her family are fans of Disney World. Erin also enjoys singing solo's in church.

Lori is from Gratz, PA and still lives there today with her husband, Kent.She graduated from Upper Dauphin.Lori has a son, Thomas and two grandsons, Ryland and Cooper.We welcomed Lori to the team on October 2001.She loves socializing with the patients.In her spare time she enjoys taking long walks, spending time with her grandsons and 'tinkering' around in her flowerbeds.

Kennedy grew up in Port Royal, PA and currently lives Herndon, PA with her husband, Brad, daughter, Finley, and their three dogs, Mason, Cooper and Archie. She graduated from Juniata High School in 2013. She continued her education at Keystone Technical Institute in 2015. She has her Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) License. We welcomed Kennedy to the team in June 2020. In her spare time, she works at White Oak Tavern. Kennedy enjoys spending time with her fur babies and going to dirt track races with her husband.

Ashley grew up in Halifax, PA and now lives in Millersburg, PA with her husband, Brian and their two kids, Charleigh and Lucas. She graduated from Halifax High School in 2004. She then continued her education at HACC and graduated with her Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) and more. We welcomed Ashley to the team in April 2019. In her spare time she enjoys horseback riding, caring for all of her animals, her little funny farm if you will, playing softball/baseball with her kids. As well as, spending time with her family.

Kasarah grew up in Halifax, PA and currently lives in Elizabathville, PA with her husband, Tom, daughter, Sophia and dog, Josie. She graduated from Halifax High School. We welcomed Kasarah to the team June 2021. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, fitness and spending time with her family!
