Arwa Owais, DDS is a Board-Certified Pediatric Dentist with 25 years of experience. She is an honors graduate of The University of Iowa College of Dentistry, an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association, and the Texas Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Owais is also an American Board-Certified Dental Public Health Specialist. Additionally, she is currently an active member of the Texas Pediatric Society and serves in the Texas Community Health Advocacy, CATCH and School Health Committee. Dr. Owais has extensive experience with all aspects of pediatric dentistry for newborns, infants, children, and adolescents. She has extensive experience in treating children with special health care needs, medically compromised children, and children with orofacial clefts. Above all, she is a mother of four children, the youngest twins are Texans and were born premature. Her practice philosophy is that each child is unique and they deserve the best quality dental care they and their family expect. She has an open door policy and continuous direct communication with parents. Dr. Owais care delivery is based on prevention of dental disease, medical management of dental caries, and treatment of children in the most comfortable and conservative approach that builds a positive attitude toward dental health. She is certified in laser dentistry for soft and hard tissues, including tongue tie revision, upper lip tie frenectomy, and is a Solea dental laser provider. Additionally, she is also an Invisalign-certified specialist, and works with children and their families to stop harmful habits such as thumb sucking. She is a Basic Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support Provider, and is licensed to provide dental care under sedation and general anesthesia for children requiring more extensive dental treatment.

Front office is very rude. Just trying to put an appointment with Shay was being smart a$$ the whole time. She kept telling me we are booked for all dates I kept asking.

Staff is very patient, accommodates child's needs, my son is on the autism spectrum and has sensory processing disorder. They have quiet waiting rooms with a door if needed, which blocks of all noise and visual stimulation. They also have 2 waiting rooms. One on the left and one on the right (which is a kids room with small chairs and tv. The staff is really friendly when you walk in. They are very understanding. They are extremely patient and try to make it as comfortable as possible for the child. They don't rush during procedures even if the child is not cooperating. They try to calm them down first. Which impresses me how going into the patient room is not delayed. Always on time. This is the first dentist office I that I been too, who works on accommodating my special needs son. In my experience at Rising star pediatric dentistry. My son's dentist has prioritized my son's safety as well as working with him by creating a safe, happy, and fun environment for my special needs son to improve his dental treatment experience. In my experience here general anesthesia is not always the only choice for special needs. Depending on the procedure/dental treatment and safety. To make it more comfortable and safe. I really love Rising star pediatric dentistry they gone above and beyond to accommodate my special needs son by giving him a chance with other options when possible and helping him feel safe. All other dentist I have been to are not very familiar with special needs and have not worked toward improvement in dental treatment. However at Rising star pediatrics in my observation they are not about just getting the procedure done but also improvement and giving the child the best experience to improve dental care and dental care visit experiences for my son. I love this place. Everyone here goes above and beyond. I'm certain this place will continue to impress me. I don't normally write reviews but this place deserves more than 5 stars

AWESOME!!!! I love this place cause it has tv, ice cream, mini-recliners, a cool light sphere thingy, in the bathroom there's a tiny toilet and there's still more! To open the trash can you press a button to open it and a different one to close it! AND THERE'S STILL MORE! The final thing I will say is there are little prize machines. Even though I can only do five stars, I give this place 50 out of ten. Now some photos!

Always a great experience when coming to this office. Front office is quick to schedule, answer my insurance questions and the dentist/assistants make the visit go by smooth. Office is always clean and welcoming. Offer general anesthesia, oral sedation, Invisalign, oral surgery along with regular children's dentistry services all at one place with familiar faces. There are TVs for cartoons, toys, balloons and ICE CREAM! Love coming here!

We love Rising Stars! Dr. Arwa is so kind and patient. She explains to the kids the importance of what she is doing and is such a genuine and lovely person. She explains any needed procedures and always includes my opinion and answers all my questions. My kids have had annual checkups and needed baby teeth removal. The staff is very nice and great with kids. The communication is wonderful. We have been going for over 10 years and wouldn't go anywhere else.

My daughter and I love this dental office. The staff was so friendly and attentive to my daughter during her service. They made going to the dentist a fun experience for both of us and as a parent I appreciated that. I highly recommend.

I've been taking my daughter here for years, she had her braces done by dr Ryan before they stopped doing orthodontics. I was really struggling to pay for them after being laid off at work, one of the last apts before my daughter had them removed, the receptionist Katelyn, she informed me that they decided to clear the remaining balance I had for the braces. Which was over $1000. I was speechless and so grateful. Best Xmas present ever. Thank you Katelyn !!!

Hands down - this is the best clinic we have been to. The staff takes care of everything and they make the most anxious kids seem so much comfortable. Dr. Arwa is amazing and Miss Deborah is just awesome. They are so flexible with appointments and at any time if there is a dental emergency for your child, you just give them a call and they will be there for you

Amazing customer service!! Dr.Arwa specifically has amazing bedside manner with the children. She made myself and my daughter feel very comfortable. She was knowledgeable and welcoming as were the dental assistants and reception. They even do a courtesy call after visits. Highly recommend!

My son Eddie is a kid with special needs, and a lot of laughter in him but he won't stay still long enough for a dental cleaning or a cavity filling so my wife and i looked in a few places in Austin area and we eventually ended up at Rising Stars Pediatric dentistry and it turned out Dr. Arwa Owais was just the Doc we needed she is absolutely the best dentist Eddie has ever seen. His Teeth needed a lot of help from tooth reconstruction, extraction, and fixing past dental procedures. quite frankly Dr. Arwa was perfect for my son with all his issues she and her team of rock stars handled everything perfectly. His teeth now look super not to mention she has a great team for putting kids under anesthesia. always stressful to put your child under anesthesia but Dr Arwa put in overtime to help Eddie and WOW!! his teeth are great Thank you Rising Stars James Coleman

Ursula was absolutely amazing. She got us in for a same day appointment because I was really concerned about my little one. She went above and beyond. When we were at the office the rest of the staff was just as kind and patient. Definitely recommend with little bitty ones.

We are referred to this place by my daughter's dentist. She is having a really bad cavities that needs to be fix. I was surprised to see what's inside , very friendly place and the staff are awesome ! Dr. Awra and her staff Ressa and the others are very helpful , knowledgeable and nice! I highly recommend this place.

Absolutely the best place for pediatric care, Dr Owais and her assistant Victor were excellent . My 5 YO needed extensive work and restorations which were done with utmost care and professionalism. As a dentist myself I could see how good she worked and how happy and comfortable my lil one felt. Would highly recommend for anyone needing quality care for their kids.

I highly recommend this dental office! I take my 2 1/2 yr old grandson for cleanings and every staff member treats him as their own. The main dentist is the best pediatric dentist around town. She made my grandson feel so at home and even gave him a pair of plastic gloves so he would feel like "Spiderman" ...so cute!!!

I had a wonderful experience taking in my brother who has Down Syndrome. The entire place is very clean and inviting. I was surprised when my brother was comfortable enough to actually sit in the operating chair AND get x-rays. The doctors were patient enough to demonstrate how each tool worked BEFORE putting anything on him. By doing this he allowed them to do much more than other previous dentists have done. I am so appreciative to everyone for proving such great service! Will definitely be sticking around!

Dr Arwa and her team treated my 5 yr old daughter's 13 teeth. Doctor Lampkin the dentist anesthesiologist gave her anesthesia. One long hour of treatment and I have never been more scared for my child as I was on this day. She needed baby root canals, crowns, extractions and what not But I would want to appreciate Dr Arwa and her entire team and Dr Lampkin for convincing me and treating my daughter sooo well. Its almost 3 weeks now and seems like my kiddo got a new life, she is able to eat, smile has got prettier and I cannot be more content for her. I am extremely thankful and so proud of them. They answered my questions before the treatment and calmed me. Everyone was polite and took great care of my daughter. Keep up the good work and our prayers are with you guys
