Wisdom teeth get their name from the fact that they usually appear at a later or older stage when compared to the rest of our teeth. According to the American Dental Association (ADA), this normally happens between the ages of 17 and 21. Wisdom teeth are four molars located at the very back of your mouth, but it is not uncommon for people to have less or even no wisdom teeth at all. If you are not able to see them in your mouth, they could still be under your gums, so the best idea is to get an x-ray.

Not everyone will need to have their wisdom teeth removed, but it is a common thing to do since these can start giving you problems at any point in time. Besides feeling pain there are several reasons you may need an extraction. One of the main reasons a wisdom tooth needs to be extracted is because it doesnt have enough room to come out from the gum. Other common issues that will lead to extraction are infections, damage to neighboring teeth, bone loss, or even just for prevention. Even if your wisdom tooth isnt causing a real issue yet, it could still mean trouble in the future. If the tooth is partially out, it could cause bacteria and plaque to build up around it, if the tooth is on its side, it can cause bone loss around the roots. You should always ask your dentist if and when it would be best for you to have them removed.

Once youve had the procedure done, there are a few things you can do to help your mouth heal a bit quicker. Ice, cold packs, and cool water will be your best friends for a couple of days since the cold will help with any soreness and swelling you may have. Try eating soft foods that wont hurt the sensitive area and avoid spicy foods, alcohol, hot beverages, and smoking. The most important thing is to always follow your doctors instructions.

Quick, fast and easy service I was in and out within an hour for an annual check up. Everyone was so friendly and gentle when handling your teeth ( I'm scared of the dentist) however this location made me feel comfortable, definitely will be returning again!

If I could give zero stars I would. They took my daughter's braces off after they were paid in full for a "break" since she had a tooth that needed to come in and during that time the doctor left the office and then the wheat ridge location wanted us to pay another 3000 to put them back on. Don't waste your money here they won't bill through insurance properly either and they will steal your money with no results.

I have A rather unpleasant review for this location. I was dropped from here due to too many reschedules. I absolutely beyond frustrated with this. I did what was the right thing by rescheduling, never being told I was in jeopardy. Covid , deaths in the family do not matter apparently and it makes no sense to give A patient the ability to reschedule only for it to be held against them.

This place is horrible. I purchased my braces through they're very prompt to collect their money however their customer service is horrible. If you're later than 10 minutes they will refuse to see you.when you called the number to speak to to a person the wait times are ridiculous. Then they screw up your appointment to have your braces I just did and what not and they put you for a teeth cleaning.

Hit and miss. Be prepared to wait an hour before your brought back if you show up on time for your appointment.

Went for a cleaning and it literally lasted 5 minutes from start to finish so I don't think they did a good job. My previous dentist took about 30-40 minutes from start to finish and my teeth felt much better and more clean.

Waiting time is absolutely horrendous! Why take on so many appointments if you don't have adequate staffing!?!?

My appointments were okay but the office staff has completely ignored my requests to update payment information for months! They keep charging the wrong card and have even charged extra payments. I've called and emailed requesting an updated bill with my current information and they haven't done that. Cannot wait to be done with this office and I will definitely not return.

To whom this may concern, I would like to share my experience with Risas scheduling and staff that occurred yesterday 11/17/2020. I called the appointment line to schedule an urgent appointment for my mother who was having pain due to a molar and is also diabetic which is the reason I was seeking a same-day appointment, I spoke to a woman by the name of Jovana who assisted me in scheduling an appointment for my mom I explained her condition and the urgency. Jovana proceeded offer me a 4pm appointment at the 34th and Wadsworth location. Unfortunately I was still at work so my son was the one who accompanied my mother to the clinic. Upon check in they were simply told that they would receive a call when they were ready to see them. An hour went by and my mom called me she said they were still waiting. I called the scheduling department once again. Jovana was the one to also answer the second time, I asked why my mom had not been seen yet and she said that the problem was that there had been a confusion with another patient by the name of Maria and therefore she was added as a Walk in. I explained to Jovana I was not aware that would be the case and she had already been waiting for over an hour. After an hour and a half I arrived to the clinic to see if she had been taken in and in fact she was still waiting. I headed inside to find out what the status was and to speak to a manager. I must say the staff in the front was very rude and dismissing and when I asked for a Manager the front desk receptionist approached a woman who was on her cell phone, after a few minutes she came up to me and asked "how may I help you." She failed to introduce herself or give me her name so I asked if she was the manager, she answered yes. I began to explain the situation and she kept interrupting me saying well unfortunately she's a walk in and that they were actually short staffed which If I remember correctly Jovana may have mentioned that one of the doctors had to leave early because of an emergency. But Theresa (the manager) said they were short staffed because the doctor had no come In. which in any case was not the issue I completely understand that these things happen but what I was most frustrated about was the fact that this was never communicated with us, and neither was an estimated wait time not even at this point. There were several patients still waiting to be seen and at this point it was near 6 o clock. I asked how was it possible that they had so many people waiting that late in the day and with only one dentist on site? She explained that they don't always get to see everyone which I'm sorry but I just find unacceptable if that is in any way a possibility especially in an event of a doctor not being in, it should be clearly communicated with the patients and not set unrealistic expectations that may not be able to be met. I explained it wasn't the wait that was the problem it was the unclear communication and lack there of that was the issue. In the two hours we waiting we well could have gone somewhere else. I have worked in the healthcare field and understand how wait times are sometimes longer than ideal but the lack of the communication and lack of initiative from staff and more importantly the MANAGER to foresee situations such as these is simply baffling. I was very disappointed to say the least of the care and costumer service we received starting from the call center to the clinic and all the staff included. I will not be returning to this establishment.

I am really disgusted in the customer service that I've received. I've asked about six times for Risas to send my dental office the cavity clearance form so that I can get invisaline at Risas but they keep saying they are going to send it to me or my dental office, and they don't. They always have excuses. It's clear that Risas doesn't want my business. Such a very unprofessional organization.

I am sooooo disappointed. Ive been waiting to have my wisdom teeth removed since AUGUST 2020. Its now January 21st 2021 and once again they have cancelled my appointment and want me to call to reschedule. For one reason or another the dentist can never operate. I will no longer wait and will search elsewhere for somewhere to remove them. It hurts to eat. And sometimes the pain is so bad i cant speak. Ive conveyed all of my concerns and they tell me the same thing "im sorry we cant do anything, youre more than welcome to look for another place or reschedule". Will NOT be recommending this place to ANYONE.
