Wisdom teeth get their name from the fact that they usually appear at a later or older stage when compared to the rest of our teeth. According to the American Dental Association (ADA), this normally happens between the ages of 17 and 21. Wisdom teeth are four molars located at the very back of your mouth, but it is not uncommon for people to have less or even no wisdom teeth at all. If you are not able to see them in your mouth, they could still be under your gums, so the best idea is to get an x-ray.

Not everyone will need to have their wisdom teeth removed, but it is a common thing to do since these can start giving you problems at any point in time. Besides feeling pain there are several reasons you may need an extraction. One of the main reasons a wisdom tooth needs to be extracted is because it doesnt have enough room to come out from the gum. Other common issues that will lead to extraction are infections, damage to neighboring teeth, bone loss, or even just for prevention. Even if your wisdom tooth isnt causing a real issue yet, it could still mean trouble in the future. If the tooth is partially out, it could cause bacteria and plaque to build up around it, if the tooth is on its side, it can cause bone loss around the roots. You should always ask your dentist if and when it would be best for you to have them removed.

Once youve had the procedure done, there are a few things you can do to help your mouth heal a bit quicker. Ice, cold packs, and cool water will be your best friends for a couple of days since the cold will help with any soreness and swelling you may have. Try eating soft foods that wont hurt the sensitive area and avoid spicy foods, alcohol, hot beverages, and smoking. The most important thing is to always follow your doctors instructions.

(Translated by Google) My second visit today Oct.19 2022 and I am more than happy with the service. Dr. Tapia was very careful about anesthesia since I'm afraid of needles but he thought it was very easy. And his assistant just as well. Definitely my favorite dentist (Original) Mi segunda vista el dia de hoy oct.19 2022 y estoy mas que contenta con el servicio. Very dissatisfied. Had a bridge done at Risas Dental and had to have it replaced because it was poorly made.

Great location. I was nervous getting my braces for the first time but the staff members and doctors made the feeling of tension and fear go away. I've been on the treatment for a while now and the office stays clean, and friendly. Assistant Irvanna is always friendly, welcoming and a great person to pass the time while you do your visit. She's always makes me laugh and have a good time. Dr. Triggs always makes the appointment quick and efficient, allowing the time that the appointment takes to be cut. Great location and staff!

Dr Kleiner is an amazing dentist. He's kind and gentle but he truly looks at dentistry as a tool for healing.

They scheduled My appointment at 7 pm when I got there front desk told me appointment has been cancelled. I live far away from this location since I moved and have to drive 30 minutes. They couldn't have call me to let me know the appointment was cancelled. Very unprofessional. I would suggest confirming your appointments if they are later on the day so you don't drive and waste time.

I am very disappointed with my results. I have done braces with Risas twice. First treatment back in 2014 and second treatment in 2021. My teeth relapsed after the first treatment and my bite. The first time I was told I needed four extractions. Later during the treatment I was told it was not going to be necessary. I expressed my concern about that the second time I was there. Still no extractions were done. I am still wearing my retainer every night just like I did during the first treatment. A year after my second round of braces my bite is open, my bottom teeth are moving and my smile looks horrible. Not the smile of someone who has done braces twice. Something was not done right. I needed the extractions. I still have my wisdom teeth which keep putting pressure on my mouth. That's not letting my bite stay close and keeps moving my teeth. I have all the paperwork with the extractions listed that were never done. I feel I wasted time and money. I need an answer Risas Dental.

They were having their "labor of love" day today and I got a filling for FREE! I have a little bit of a fear of the dentist just because I've had bad experiences in the past but that did not happen today! Risas Dental was so awesome and so good to me! As I was waiting to be seen, the co-founder (Dr. Ray) came in and thanked me for coming in today, which I thought was so sweet because I should be thanking them for their kind and thoughtful program they were hosting at all 28 of their locations today! Which I did, I thanked everyone multiple times because it's really cool and very helpful what they're doing for all of the communities they're in. The doctors (Dr. Kleiner & Dr. Tapia) were very gentle with me and very vocal about what they were doing, and oh my gosh they were fast! They definitely know what they're doing and Dr. Tapia & assistant Monse were a great team! This office was so good to me and I'll probably start coming here regularly for any of my dental work because they were just so sweet! Plus they had the party going all morning with good music, free breakfast and coffee! Then to top it off, of course, FREE DENTAL WORK!? How cool!! Thank you guys so so much for caring about us so much and giving back in so many ways, you guys are such a big help to so many families! Keep being awesome Risas Dental, I trust that you guys will.

Dr. Tapia has gone above and beyond to fix my teeth. I needed a lot of dental work done to repair my teeth. I visited 2 other dentists before finding Dr. Tapia. Not only was I given the best price for all my work, but he made me feel confident he could fix everything. I'm 32 and he is the first dentist I do not mind seeing. Any concern or question I have had, Dr. Tapia has answered and taken care of. I am so happy to finally be able to have a great, healthy smile. He restored my ability to eat without being in pain. I'm so grateful for that. He also uses this digital scanner for teeth to fit crowns and whatnot. It's really amazing technology. Every time we have used the digital scanner my porcelain crowns have fit perfectly with no complaints. It has been a truly amazing experience. I will never put off dental work again. Thank you Dr. Tapia and all the dental assistants that have helped along the way!

Sought out this dentist office because I was looking to get braces. Ended up getting them the same day. Dr. Tapia did my teeth cleaning first and it honestly felt very rushed. Then I briefly met with the orthodontist whos name I do not remember because that is how brief our encounter was. Did not explain the process what so ever just told me I would need braces for 2 years then left. Had his dental assistant do all the work, which I am not upset about, good for her for learning such skills early on but she is not the one getting paid the big bucks. He came over once to see if she placed the brackets on correctly and that was it. Truly annoyed because now I have all these questions that I did not think about at the time as I was nervous but now I don't feel comfortable asking nor returning, however, I did sign a contract and either need to pay $500 to go elsewhere.
