Rinehart, Marr & Murdock Dental takes pride in his knowledgeable staff. For example, Expanded Function Dental Assistants are highly qualified dental professionals who work very closely with patients. The EFDAs go through extensive training to perform valuable services, such as composite restorations and temporary crowns.

It was in the fall of 1979 when Dr. John Rinehart first opened the doors to his general dentistry private practice in Danville. From that day forward, it was obvious to his patients and those who work around him that Dr. Rinehart loves his profession. Approaching every patient case with passion and precision, Dr. Rinehart has created spectacular results and continues to build and improve his practice.

Dr. Marr is a native of Turbotville, PA and attended Warrior Run High School. He was a three-sport athlete (soccer, basketball and track) and graduated in 2004. Dr. Marr attended Susquehanna University for his undergraduate studies, where he majored in Biology and minored in Health Care studies. He also participated on the track team, becoming the first All-American high jumper for SU. Dr. Marr joined the practice in July of 2013 after graduating from the University Of Pittsburgh School Of Dental Medicine and completing his general practice residency program at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown, Ohio. Dr. Marr is a member of the American Dental Association and Academy of General Dentistry, and he became an owner of the practice in 2018.

Dr. Marr shares the practice philosophy of working with each individual to provide the best quality of care. As a general dentist I understand dental fears and the cosmetic needs of each patient. I strive to make them as comfortable as possible while they are in the chair leaving them with the feeling of having a confident smile. I realize the importance of oral health and its relationship with systemic or whole body health. I am dedicated to improving the oral health of each patient thereby allowing them to live a better, healthier life.

He brings enthusiasm, poise, and a kind, gentle nature to our practice. His interests include Penn State football, working out and playing sports. He also enjoys spending time with his wife, Erin and two boys, Logan and Connor.

Dr. Murdock is a native of Elysburg, PA, and currently resides in Catawissa with his wife, Jess, and their two daughters. He graduated from Southern Columbia Area High School in 2003 and was a three-sport athlete for the Tigers, winning state championships in baseball (2000) and football (2002). Dr. Murdock completed his undergraduate studies from Lycoming College in 2007 with a B.S. degree in Biology. He was a member of the football team for the Warriors as defensive back and punt returner, receiving All-Conference honors three times.

Dr. Murdock joined our practice full-time in 2014 after earning his dental degree from the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine and completing a General Practice Residency from St. Joseph Medical Center in Reading, PA. Dr. Murdock is a member of the American Dental Association and Academy of General Dentistry, and he became an owner of the practice in 2018.

Dr. Morton is the dentist at our newest office in Kulpmont. He took over this office from Dr. Menapace, whose family had been working in the area for multiple generations. He is extremely dedicated to his patients and looks forward to giving back to the community that helped get him where he is today.

Dr. Morton grew up locally, graduating from Southern Columbia High School in 2011. He graduated from Bloomsburg University in 2015, where he majored in Biology and minored in Chemistry. Dr. Morton went on to New York University for dental school, where he was a member of the OKU National Dental Honor Society and graduated in the top 10% of his class. He also completed a one-year residency program at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx, NY.

Dr. Morton is currently a resident of Selinsgrove, where he lives with his girlfriend and their three pets. He loves to spend time with friends and family, and tries to stay active every day. He is also a huge sports fan, and enjoys playing/watching all year round.

Dr. Lusai Qiu grew up in East Tennessee.She completed her undergraduate studies at Case Western Reserve University, graduating in 2013 with a bachelors degree in Biology and minors in Chemistry and Sociology. Dr. Qiu earned her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry and graduated in 2017.Afterwards, she pursued further training and completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program with the Air Force, where she practiced for three years before joining our office as an associate dentist in January of 2022.

Dr. Qiu is an avid learner and participates in numerous hours of continuing education to provide the best care for her patients. She is a participant of a mini-residency in dental implantology that is partnered with the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.Furthermore, to assist with staying at the forefront of the latest dental research and practices, she is an active member of several dental organizations which include the American Dental Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and the Academy of General Dentistry.

Dr. Julie Ann Barna is a part-time dentist at our Lewisburg office. She is the previous owner of 2 Dental Divas, which she founded, and has over 40 years of private practice experience. Dr. Barna is a 1980 graduate of the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Dental Medicine. She also completed a general practice residency at Penn. She has obtained both her fellowship and mastership from the Academy of General Dentistry. She is the current secretary/treasurer for the 6th District Dental Society and on the executive committee for the National Practice Base Research Network. She is a past board chair of Evangelical Community Hospital. She is the co-author of many articles featured in national dental journals, as well as a guest on Good Morning America.

Dr. Barna is married to Mark Veraguth, head wine maker for Dr. Konstantin Frank Winery in Hammondsport, N.Y. She and her husband enjoy travel, especially to Napa Valley, where her husband was born. They enjoy hosting food and wine pairings, as well as their winter passion of snow skiing in the west.

A New Jersey native, Dr. Mendia attended Rutgers University where he graduated with a Bachelors degree in Exercise Science and Nutrition. He then earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Dr. Mendia completed a post-doctoral residency in Dental Anesthesiology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC). Dr. Mendias anesthesia training involved hospital rotations through various specialties. During each rotation, he provided general anesthesia in the areas of dentistry, general surgery, otolaryngology (ENT) surgery and obstetrics. In addition, he received specialized training for office-based anesthesia

Today, Dr. Mendia has found his niche in ambulatory anesthesia with pediatric and special needs patients. He is also an Assistant Clinical Professor at Rutgers University School of Dental Medicine and provides lectures and continuing education courses on sedation and medical emergencies in the dental office.

Dr. Mendia is a member of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, American Society of Dentist Anesthesiologists, New Jersey Dental Association, and American Dental Association. He holds certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).

Jenn is Dr. Murdocks Treatment Plan Coordinator, as well as a Dental Hygienist and EFDA. She works out of the Danville and Lewisburg locations. Jenn has been with the practice since September of 2010.

Jenn graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with her Dental Hygiene licenses in May of 2007. She then went back two years later and received her licenses to administer anesthesia. In 2018, she graduated from Harrisburg Area Community College with her EFDA degree. Jenn has been in the dental field since the age of 17!

Bernae is Dr. Marrs Treatment Coordinator & Dental Assistant working out of the Danville and Lewisburg locations. Bernae ensures that all of her patients are comfortable and understands each procedure. Bernae also aids in scheduling her patients and reviewing finances. Bernae joined the practice in 2013.

I enjoy helping patients boost their confidence, as well as making them feel comfortable in our office. I consider myself fortunate to work in an office where patient education and quality of care come first.'

Bernae graduated from Central Columbia High School. She obtained her Expanded Functions Dental Assistant certification from Luzerne County Community College with honors in 2012. Bernae enjoys spending her time gardening, reading, camping, practicing yoga, and spending time with family and friends. Bernae is a volunteer firefighter at Mahoning Township East End Fire Company (Station 60). Bernae is originally from the Bloomsburg area & resides in Danville. Bernae has three pets (all rescues): her German Shepard, Zoey and her cats, Frannie and Sophie.

Kenzy is Dr. Marrs dental assistant working out of both the Danville and Lewisburg offices. Shes been in the dental field for over 15 years and loved her time spent specializing in pediatrics. Her number one mission is to make all of our patients as comfortable as possible throughout their entire treatment.

Rockell started with our office in 2021 as one of Dr. Murdocks dental assistants. She graduated from Mifflinburg Area High School and the Sun Area Technical Institute Dental Program in 2021 with honors.

One of the reasons she wanted a full-time position after her co-op position at Rinehart, Marr and Murdock office was because of the amazing staff. They are all so helpful, kind and knowledgeable. She is glad to be able to add to that hands-on patient experience with her love of helping people wherever they need her, whether it be giving her honest opinion on a shade color or assisting another coworker. In her words Dr. Murdock is awesome, always a great teacher!

In Rockells spare time you will find her with her family... mostly her Dad! Chasing the next big fish, hunting, or in the diva class racing go-karts on Saturday nights. No matter what it is, she is doing it with a smile on her face!

Coral is Dr. Morton's dental assistant in the Kulpmont office. She started working as a dental assistant in 2016. Coral enjoys witnessing the positive life changes a smile brings. In Coral's free time, she enjoys traveling, going to the races and spending time with friends, family and her dog.

She started her career in an orthodontist office while still in high school. That led to her becoming a dental assistant for almost three decades, with the prior dentist in our Kulpmont location until his retirement in 2020.She has certification in radiology and CPR.

Tiffany has been married for over two decades and has three beautiful children and a German Short-Haired Pointer.In her spare time she loves to bake, attend her children's sporting events and lounge by the pool.

Over the years, she has formed bonds with many patients and has found it to be a rewarding feeling to be recognized as someone they trust.She has committed herself to the dental field and has shown great loyalty throughout her career.

Kaitlyn is a Registered Dental Hygienist in the Danville and Northumberland offices. Kaitlyn is originally from the Danville area and graduated from Columbia Montour Vo-Tech. Kaitlyn graduated with an associate of dental hygiene degree from Luzerne County CommunityCollege in 2014. She started at our practice in that same year. She now lives in Milton with her husband, Dustin, son, Parker, and two cats. Kaitlyn enjoys spending time outside riding her bike, playing softball, and listening to blue grass music.

Julie has been a dental hygienist with Rinehart, Marr and Murdock Dental spanning three decades and is primarily located in the Danville office. Julie received her associates degree in dental hygiene from Pennsylvania College of Technology in 1991.

I get great satisfaction in helping patients attain a new level of confidence by simply enhancing their smile. Dr. Rinehart has an amazing artistic ability to transform smiles from average to spectacular! It is obvious that he truly does what he loves!' Dr. Marr, Dr. Murdock and Dr. Morton have added so much depth to our practice. Procedures we used to refer out can now be kept in house. I am blessed to work with amazing dentists!

Julie grew up in the restaurant business in Benton. She is a NASM-certified personal trainer and the owner of Body Shock Bootcamp. Her hobbies include hiking, working out, paddle boarding, and listening to live music.

Brandi is a Registered Dental Hygienist, primarily in the Danville office. She grew up in Nescopeck and graduated from Berwick High School. Brandi received her bachelors degree in biology from Bloomsburg University and an Associate of Dental Hygiene degree from Luzerne County Community College. She has worked with our office since 2017.

Jaime graduated from the Luzerne County Community College Dental Hygiene program in 2002. With over 19 years of experience in periodontics and general dentistry, Jaime joined our office in July of 2021 and is primarily located in the Danville office. Jaime prides herself on her attention to detail and enthusiasm to maintain high and current standards within the dental profession. She has a passion of getting to know her patients on a personal level and educating them on how to maintain a healthy smile.

Tina has over three decades of experience in the dental field. She has a passion for getting to know her patients on a personal level and educating them on how to maintain a healthy smile. She is very thorough and ensures the patient is getting the best possible care. Tina is compassionate and is able to put her patients at ease to ensure a positive dental experience. She believes that creating a healthy oral environment leads to overall better health.

Karen is a Registered Dental Hygienist in the Kulpmont office. She has been practicing dental hygiene and creating many fulfilling patient/clinician friendships for almost three decades. Karen graduated from Southern Columbia High School and received her Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene from Penn College of Technology in 1994. She also has acquired her Public Health Dental Hygiene Practitioner license. Karen enjoys reading, campfires and spending time with family and friends.

Barb has been a dental hygienist for over three decades and is primary located in our Lewisburg office. Her main focus is patient care, especially patient education as to proper home care. In addition to patient education, she strives to provide the best possible care and positive experiences.

Barb graduated from Middleburg High School in 1975 concurrent with her studies in the dental program at Sun Tech, graduating as a dental assistant in that same year. Barb worked in several private and group practices before returning to Williamsport Area Community College, which is now Penn College, where she received her associates degree in dental hygiene in 1988.

While attending WACC, Barb served as President of the Student American Dental Hygiene Association and received the Outstanding Leadership Award. Upon graduation, Barb also received the Hu Friedy Golden Scaler Award, Clark J. Hollister Award, and the Northcentral Dental Hygiene Award.

Barb currently lives in New Columbia with her husband, Jim, and their five cats. Barb has two children, Scott and Holly, and one grandchild. Scott lives with his wife, Jamie and their son Logan, while Holly lives with her partner, Jess. In her free time, Barb enjoys flower gardening, food programs and enjoying her pool, hot tub and country living. Barb is also a substitute dental instructor at Sun Tech and a member of the Occupational Advisory Committee. She also accompanies her husband at Christmas time as Mrs. Claus to his Santa, and can be found at Susquehanna Valley Scholar concerts as usher and ticket taker.

Liz is a part of our dental hygiene staff, primarily located out of the Lewisburg office. She joined our team as a Registered Dental Hygienist in July of 2021, after obtaining her associates degree from Luzerne County Community College. While fulfilling her studies, she represented her graduating class as student president, and graduated with highest honors.

Her passion for patient care and dentistry began at a very young age, and has paved the way for the love that she has for her patients, and this field. Prior to becoming a RDH, she began her dental career in 2016 as an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant through the state of Maryland.

Liz is a native of southern Pennsylvania/northern Maryland, but currently resides in Bloomsburg with her fianc, Tyler, and their two dogs, Emmy (a lab mix) and Bella (a husky). In her free time, Liz enjoys spending time with family, friends, her fianc, and pups. She finds great joy in traveling, hiking local trails, kayaking, fishing, cheering on the Baltimore Ravens/Orioles, and spending time at the lake or beach.

Liz is devoted to each of her patients individualized needs and strives to deliver the most comfortable and exceptional care possible. She is driven by her faith, her passion for her career, and loves to be surrounded by her pups, family, and friends.

Lyndsey graduated from Pennsylvania College of Technology in 2007 with an associate's degree in Dental Hygiene and in 2008 with a bachelor's degree in Health Policy and Administration. She is currently enrolled at University of Bridgeport, Connecticut for a master's degree in Dental Hygiene Education/Public Health.

Sarah is the Front Office Lead for all four offices and is located in the Danville office. Sarah is responsible for the staff that greets you when you walk through the door and sends you on your way when you check out. Along with the practice's mission, Sarahs number one priority is patient care and making sure they have the best possible experience every time they visit any of our offices! She has been working at Rinehart, Marr and Murdock Dental since January of 2020.

Sarah graduated from Danville High School in 2008 and received her bachelors degree in advertising/public relations and psychology from Penn State University in 2012. After spending six years between Chicago and New York City, Sarah decided to move back to her hometown to be near her family and put down her own roots.

Sarah currently lives in Riverside with her husband, Derek, and their rescue dog, Leo, a chocolate lab mix. In her free time, Sarah enjoys traveling, hiking, working out, reading, spending time with her family and friends, and cheering on her favorite sports teams, especially the Penn State Nittany Lions.

Taylor has been part of the front office staff since February of 2021 and is primarily located in the Danville office. Taylors main priority is to care for the patients when in the office, as well as to help with any insurance, financial, or dental needs.

Taylor graduated from Milton High School in 2014. Prior to graduation Taylor was a two-time All-State Softball selection as a pitcher. Taylor then went on to attend Mansfield University to continue her education. Taylor decided to move back home in 2015 to attend McCann School of Business for Medical Assisting. Prior to Rinehart, Marr and Murdock Dental, Taylor was a Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist for over four years and is excited to continue to expand her skill set in the dental profession.

Taylor grew up in Milton and is currently the Head Coach for the Milton Junior/Senior High School Softball Team. She is a dog mom to a Golden Retriever named Lola and in her free time Taylor enjoys traveling, playing sports, spending time with her friends, and most importantly, her family.

Melissa is a graduate of Southern Columbia High School and in 2003, obtained her bachelors degree in Business Administration from Elizabethtown College. Melissa spent the first 12+ years of her career working in the Financial and Home Health/Home Care fields. Melissa relocated back to her hometown of Elysburg with her son in 2019. When Melissa is not working, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, fishing, camping, and planning her next traveling adventure.

Erin gladly joined the front office staff in September of 2021. Her main priority at the office is ensuring that all patients needs are met. She looks forward to greeting you with a smile and answering any questions that you might have.

Erin grew up in Shamokin, PA and is a 2002 graduate of Shamokin Area High School. She has over 20 years of experience in customer service and has spent the last seven years gaining experience in the medical field. She currently resides in Locust Gap, PA.

Youll find Erin spending her days with her husband, kids and their two dogs. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, baking and shopping with her daughter. Her weekends are spent with family and friends or cheering her son on at his baseball games. She is most proud of her son and daughter.

Sheri joined the front office staff in March of 2022. She has been in the dental field for over 30 years after graduating from Williamsport Area Community College with an Associate Degree in Secretarial Science. Located in the Lewisburg office, Sheri strives to treat each patient as she would want to be treated when entering an office.

Hannah has been a part of the front office staff since May 2021. She is based in the Kulpmont office and is focused on ensuring the best experience for all patients. Her desire is to make each patient she comes in contact with feel satisfied, and heard.

Since graduating high school in 2012, Hannah has been involved with various aspects of healthcare including in-home senior care and office coordination. She attended Jefferson Community Technical College of Carrollton, KY, where she received her CNA certificate. She then went on to attend Gods Bible School and College of Cincinnati to study child development and psychology.

Hannah grew up in Milton, KY with her parents and eight siblings, who shaped her into the person she is today. She currently lives in the Shamokin area with her husband, Quint, two dogs, and her multiple chickens. Hannah is passionate about her faith in God, family, and friends. She strives to livelife at a slow pace so as not to miss out on the simple things inlife. Hannah enjoysreading, baking, hunting, and the great outdoors.

Merissa started working at Rinehart, Marr, and Murdock Dental in May 2021 as part of the front desk staff, specifically in the Kulpmont office. Prior to working here, she was employed at Phoenix Rehabilitation as a frontdesk receptionist for three years. Merissa enjoys working with and around patients and wants to make their experience here 100%.

Merissa graduated from Shamokin Area High School in 2010. She currently resides in Coal Township. Merissa's world is her little boy, Bryce. In her free time, you can find Merissa talking on the phone, spending time with family and friends, or enjoying the outdoors.

Shannon resides in Berwick with her husband, Jeff, and fur babies, Jake and Molly. Shannon enjoys traveling, reading, baking, and spending time with family and friends. Shannons motto in life is Live like there is no tomorrow. Love with all your heart. Laugh until your belly hurts. Believe anything is possible.

Chris is the Lab Technician for all offices, but works out of the Danville office. She joined the team in July of 2019. Chris strives to do her best to give the patients a beautiful and functional smile.

Jeanne is the Financial Coordinator for Rinehart, Marr & Murdock Dental. Jeanne joined our team in March of 2021. Jeannes background includes extensive experience in many facets of banking, including Business Banking, Commercial Banking, Private Banking, Retail Banking and executive administration.

Jeanne and her family moved to Pennsylvania from Michigan in 2003.She enjoys many outdoor activities and reading while camping with her husband and rescue cat. She has two grown sons, a wonderful daughter-in-law, and one grandson.
