My journey took me toHarvard Dental School where I earned my dental degree and then to UCSF where I received M.S. in Oral Biology and completed Orthodontic Residency to become a certified Orthodontist. I have practiced Orthodontics over 15 years since. Martha graduated from Sequoia High School. She obtained her degree in dental assisting from Bryman College and A.S. in Human Services from Canada College. Martha enjoys working with children and helping them achieve their potential. She is actively involved in her church and teachesSunday school. Martha had braces twice so she knows exactly what wearing braces is all about. She is married with four children. When she is not working at Dr. Rim's office, she helps out her husband in his pool installation and maintenancebusiness.
Patty was born in El Salvador as one of three children. She had just finished her third year of dental school in El Salvador when her family moved to U.S. in 2006.Havingattended Dental School, Pattybrings knowledge and skills as a laboratory technician to Rim Orthodontics. She enjoys cooking and loves to eat all the different types of food available here in the Bay Area. She is married with a daughter. Her professional goal isto becomea registered dental hygienist one day!
Sandra graduated from Dental school and was practicing as a general dentist in El Salvador. She has been working as a dental assistant since she moved to the States in2006. Her passion for Orthodontics had grownover the years and she decided to step up as an Orthodontic assistant in 2015. She enjoys witnessing her patients'smile transformation,interactionand getting to know them. Outside out the office, Sandraloves exploringthe nature and taking a stroll on a beach. Best experience ever! Approachable office staff, organized, great communication, clearly outlined treatment plan with sound explanations and reasoning for treatment. Dr. Rim is personable, caring and values not only his patient but the family support for the patient with his insightful explanations and responses to concerns or questions. Kay, the office manager, is empathetic, resourceful and knows the ins and outs of insurance- valuable assets to any patient. Any medical practice in any field could take a page out of this teams play book! Wish I was allowed to give more than five stars!

Dr. Rim and his staff provided the greatest care I could have hoped for. They were kind, patient, and caring through the entire process. Dr. Rim was able to answer any question I threw at him, which helped me better understand and bolster my confidence in the treatment. Overall, would highly recommend! FWIW, I consulted with 3 other orthodontists before choosing Dr. Rim and his staff, and I have 0 regrets.

I have such a positive experience at Dr Rims office. The staff, scheduling, and communication was everything I could hope for. My Invisalign Journey was during COVID and there COVID procedures and protocols made me feel super comfortable going in for every appointment. Lastly, I was one of those people that felt straight teeth were long ways ahead of me but as soon as I found Dr Rims office, it felt quick and easy-so worth it! Thanks you to the RIM office for everything :D

Referred by a friend and I got my Invisalign here. The overall experience was simply amazing. Kay and Doctor Rim explained the treatment plan thoroughly and the entire process was smooth and rewarding. Staffs here are super friendly and Doctor Rim is one of the most detail oriented person I've seen. Really appreciate his attention to detail.

Dr. Rim and the team are fantastic! I changed my plan for how long to stay in the bay area back and forth, and the team has been so flexible in accommodating my needs. I first visited Dr. Rim for a consultation 3 years ago and I could immediately tell that he was very thorough and detail oriented. He referred me to Stanford for oral surgery that would be needed in conjunction with my orthodontia. Dr. Rim worked very closely with the oral surgeon at Stanford and between the 2 of them, I now have the perfect bite that I should have had when I first underwent orthodontia as a teen. I cannot praise Dr. Rim highly enough for his meticulous work. I would definitely recommend Dr. Rim to anyone looking to begin orthodontic treatment and I will be bringing my own son to him when he needs braces.

Rim Orthodontics is absolutely amazing! Our daughter's treatment was well planned and thoroughly carried out with consistent support/response along the way. I got braces at Rim Orthodontics. It was a positive experience and I am happy with the results. I didn't feel pressured at all to take on treatment at my initial consultation, but after my first meeting with Dr. Rim I was confident that he would help me get my smile back. He has a very calm, gentle demeanor, and answered all of my questions throughout my treatment. I would recommend anyone with orthodontic needs to go to Dr. Rim. He and his staff are fabulous and will treat you well.

Dr. Rim and his team are truly dedicated to helping their patients achieve their dream smile. I realized I needed orthodontic care again after my teeth shifted over the years from not wearing my retainer. I researched orthodontists who had a lot of experience with Invisalign and set up a consultation with Dr. Rim's office. Kay was wonderful in helping me intertwine my goals with Dr. Rim's treatment options to choose the best plan for me. I decided to proceed with Invisalign. Over the past two years, Dr. Rim and his staff have meticulously ensured my teeth were progressing as planned. Sometimes this meant taking new molds and ordering different aligners, changing the attachments and/or adding rubber bands. Dr. Rim is a perfectionist and this shows in his work. My fiance has now started orthodontic care with Dr. Rim after consulting with several orthodontists referred to him. I am very happy with my smile after finishing my Invisalign aligners. I cannot thank Dr. Rim and his staff enough for all of their hard work!

I went to consult with Dr. Rim roughly 10 years after an Invisalign treatment with his predecessor. To my own fault, I hadn't worn my retainers in some years and noticed shifting. Dr. Rim and his team laid out all of my options, and were extremely accommodating with their pricing models and financing plans. Dr. Rim takes no short-cuts and really does vouch for his patients. After completing my first 26 aligners, Dr. Rim noticed additional room for improvement and requested another set of aligners for additional correction. He was also extremely receptive of feedback and made sure that any issues I experienced with the retainers themselves were brought up with Invisalign support. Needless to say, I'm really satisfied with the process and the results at Rim Orthodontics. The entire team was a joy to work with. Notable mention: The office's handling of COVID was well-thought out, safe, and had no impact on my treatment plan.

I started my Invisalign treatment with Dr. Rim in 2019 February, and Dr. Rim and his team took great care throughout my treatment. After 18 months, I finally completed my treatment and very happy with the results. During the pandemic, I was a little afraid of how my treatment will continue and how in-person visits would go on but Dr. Rim and his entire team took all necessary precautions to make sure I felt safe in coming in when needed and avoiding any unnecessary in-person visits. I highly recommend Dr. Rim to anyone looking for Invisalign.

Dr. Rim and all the staff at Rim Orthodontics did a great job with orthodontic treatment for our son. We moved from out of state and were lucky to find Dr. Rim. He was able to take on a case that was already started and not handled well. Dr. Rim was thorough and very detailed in giving us the best treatment. He was also very fair in understanding that we had already incurred expenses with the prior treatment. In the end we are very happy with the result for our son.

Dr. Rim takes time to give thorough and patient exams and explanations. He is patient and kind. The office is very clean, comfortable and nicely decorated and has such a calm feeling- great for special needs/sensory issues. Office staff are all very friendly and welcoming. Kay has been our personal concierge of comfort and detailed, personal information. She has made all the difference to us in her kindness, care and understanding of our specific needs. She "gets it" when it comes to special needs and she accomodates! Update 12/2020- After just finishing treatment: This office always felt like home vs the glitz, glamour, and circus trend of prizes and overwhelm in others. The reward system here is sufficient and genuine- and the care couldn't be better. Beautiful, healthy teeth and jaws for a lifetime is a foundational gift for a child. Accommodations to afford this were an additional gift. We can't thank Dr. Rim, Kay, and awesome staff enough for all of their devoted, individualized, always very kind and excellent care!
