Prosthodontics is the dental specialty for the restoration and replacement of teeth. After completing four years of dental school, prosthodontists receive three years of specialized training in an American Dental Association (ADA) accredited graduate education program. Dr. Mark Samani is a partner at Ridgewood Dental Associates, a comprehensive dental practice offering a full range of world-class, cutting edge general and specialty dental care. Treatment is provided in a comfortable environment where a variety of services are coordinated according to patients' individual needs. With more than 20 years of experience, Dr. Samani is on the forefront of prosthodontic care and specializes in advanced restorative and aesthetic dentistry, including dental crowns, dental bridges, dentures, and same-day implants. Board certified by the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, he also has expertise in treating sleep apnea, and lectures extensively on both dental implants and the treatment of snoring and sleep apnea. He is a graduate of UMDNJ and is a clinical assistant professor of prosthodontics there.
While Dr. Samani provides the best and most advanced technologies, his clinical expertise and attention to his patients ' needs are what set him apart. 'With my partners Drs. Board-certified, Dr. Samani finds his motivation in the joy patients express after restorative dental care allows them to rediscover their smiles. With more than 20 years of experience, he is able to offer patients a full range of cutting-edge general and specialty dental care with decades of hands-on experience. Dr. Samani is both a prosthodontist and educator who trains other dentists in advanced implant dentistry techniques.
Dr. Cho is originally from California, where she went to the University of California, Berkeley to obtain her B.A. before receiving her D.M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania. She then completed a general practice residency at St. Mary's Hospital, an affiliated hospital of the Yale University School of Medicine in Waterbury, CT. She has been in practice in Connecticut for 4 years before coming to RDA.
Dr. Cho is a member of the American Dental Association and is continually taking continuing education courses to stay abreast with the latest dentistry has to offer. She is a caring and compassionate dentist.

Just relocated from NYC and yesterday I had a very serious dental emergency so I called up RDA to see if they'd be willing to fit me in for an emergency appt even though I wasn't a patient. They immediately gave me same day appointment and also fixed my issue without any hesitation. On top of this, Dr. Samani gave me an in office CT scan AND an immediate implant consult, which I put off doing since it's usually time consuming and a lot of appointments with different people - so I was extremely impressed and surprised they did this all without hesitation. Honestly I never had a more seamless in office dental experience and I would recommend this practice to anyone in the north jersey area. All around 360 care. Thanks again for everything!

This business tried to charge my card for 1400$ having to get a new credit card now. We don't even live in New Jersey. Beware of this office.

Very polite staff and I'm comfortable going there with the covid protocols in place. They are also great in follow up with the insurance company. Dr. Joung is thorough and I feel confident in the care I'm receiving as he explains things and makes sure to answer all my questions. Really appreciate that there is a separate room where you deal with the financial aspects and next appointments, as opposed to in the general waiting area in front of others like some other offices I've been in.

Truly could not be any happier with my visit to RDA! Apart from the office being both stunning and kempt, the service RDA provides is unparalleled! Everyone I came in contact with at RDA was extraordinarily friendly, and professional. A huge thanks to Dr. Salami, who restored both my smile, and my confidence! I write two types of reviews...one when a place is AMAZING and another when it is HORRIBLE. RDA falls into the former. First, and this may seem trivial but it isn't if you know the area...they have their own parking. Second, the staff was so sweet. I especially liked the billing lady who seems like a fun person to hang out with. Third, Dr. Samani. It was only my first visit but his bedside manner and attentiveness were just unmatched. You can tell he clearly cares about his patients on top of being a great guy. I feel like I want to get my teeth done and then to run over to the Office to have a beer with the man. My one critique - and it isn't a big deal, is that their patient forms should be digital. It takes less time and for me, I have problems with my hands and needed help filling them out.

Full Mouth Restoration I have had a lifelong fear of the dentist and really neglected to have yearly checkups. That coupled with just inheriting bad teeth bought me to where I am now. A couple of years ago after multiple root canals and extractions, my dentist recommended a full mouth reconstruction. I had many missing teeth, broken teeth and teeth that were dropping due to the opposite gaps. I never smiled with my mouth open and eating was becoming painful. It took over a year for me to finally make an appointment for a consultation. After extensive research on local dentists specializing in Restorative and Prosthetic Dentistry, I found RDA. I am about halfway through my treatment, but from the minute I first walked into the office, I knew I made the right decision. I am always made to feel at ease. The entire staff are knowledgeable and friendly. I sat with Dr. Samani and Aleyda, the office coordinator on 3 separate occasions to come up with the best plan for me. Aleyda is always there for me, when I have questions about anything from insurance to billing to general questions about my treatment. It is evident that she and the dentists communicate very well because she always knows how to answer my questions and if not, will get back to me as soon as she can. Part of my plan included multiple extractions and implants. Dr. Joung took care of the implant surgery and my initial nervousness that day subsided immediately. He and his assistant made me feel comfortable and the confidence I felt just watching them work together was incredible. It was like watching a well-choreographed dance. 3 months later, the implants are all healed and ready for the next step. This is where Dr. Samani comes in. He is an artist. The amount of time spent on just crafting the temporaries and the tremendous amount of prep work on my gums and teeth shows his perfectionism. He and his assistant, Adriana, work seamlessly together with a sense of calm and complete competence. My temporary new smile has already changed the way I speak, eat, and smile. I am so excited to see Dr. Samani's final result. He takes his time and obviously prides himself on a perfect end result. All the staff are amazing and that includes Amy at the front desk. Always a pleasure. The covid-19 protocols in place are also excellent. Every precaution is taken to keep you and the staff safe. I am so happy that I chose Dr. Samani and Dr. Joung for my treatment. I still have more work to be done, but in the meantime I Iook forward to all my appointments and am not afraid at all. I cannot wait for my new smile. I was blown away by how beautiful the facility is and most of all I was blown away by the courteous, friendly and knowledgeable staff at this practice. I can't believe that I tolerated the dentist quack in North Haledon for seven years and spent over $15,000 there in the course. whatever you do if you are not satisfied with your current dentist please go to Ridgewood Dental Associates. They really have your best interest at heart.

My visit with Dr. Samani D.M.D. and his Assistant, Adriana, went very well! I am having a #14 molar replaced that cracked. Dr Samani is very professional and talented. He and Adriana teamed up to give me stellar care and made sure everything was perfect with the scans and impressions. I told Dr Samani that I just recommended two former co workers to him!

My experience at RDA surpassed exceptional including the work of the welcoming, friendly, patient, professional support staff. Dr. Joung provided sensitivity, patience, and the highest level of expertise while working with me to create a restoration that met my absolute approval. Dentists and professional staff constantly tell me that they are unable to identify which tooth was restored following the implant.
