Dr. Rider grew up in Washington, IL and graduated from Washington Community High School in 1972. HeenteredBradley University and Graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1976 with a BSdegree in Biology. Dr. Rider gained his professional degree, Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), from the University of Illinois DentalSchool in Chicago, IL in 1980. While in dental school, Dr. Rider wasinducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon honorary fraternity, which only accepts the top 10% of dental graduates.
After Graduation in 1980, Dr. Rider and his wife, Karen, moved to Kewanee to open his practice in Kewanee,IL. Initially, his practice was in Arrow Towers as part of the Community Dental Clinics. In 1984, he moved to his current location in Midland Plaza.
Dr. Rider has lived in Kewanee since his graduation in 1980. He has three children: Justin , a Dentist in Tuscon, AZ; Jon, a Nurse Practitioner in Pekin; and Alyssa, a Registered Dietitian now living in Mason City, IA. Dr. Rider's interest include running, swimming, golf, bowling, travel and photography.
