Dr. Rider grew up in Washington, IL and graduated from Washington Community High School in 1972. HeenteredBradley University and Graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1976 with a BSdegree in Biology. Dr. Rider gained his professional degree, Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), from the University of Illinois DentalSchool in Chicago, IL in 1980. While in dental school, Dr. Rider wasinducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon honorary fraternity, which only accepts the top 10% of dental graduates.
After Graduation in 1980, Dr. Rider and his wife, Karen, moved to Kewanee to open his practice in Kewanee,IL. Initially, his practice was in Arrow Towers as part of the Community Dental Clinics. In 1984, he moved to his current location in Midland Plaza.
Dr. Rider has lived in Kewanee since his graduation in 1980. He has three children: Justin , a Dentist in Tuscon, AZ; Jon, a Nurse Practitioner in Pekin; and Alyssa, a Registered Dietitian now living in Mason City, IA. Dr. Rider's interest include running, swimming, golf, bowling, travel and photography.

Had appointment on a Saturday and thought I was just going to go in and talk about options. Once there they talked about what was wrong and he didn't say I would have to come back. He took care of the problem with no pain at all and he was very gentle and caring. Will go back to him and highly recommend him.

Great Staff!! Dr Rider is Always Friendly and Professional. I Highly recommend his Office to anyone needing Dental work.

receptionist was rude and prejudice against disabled people, saying my insurance doesnt pay enough and wasn't worth their time, then she hung up on me before I could finnish asking my other questions

Dentist walks around acting like he hates his job. Rough with teeth, acts like a big tough guy macho man. I hope he learns how to appreciate life and his job. I feel bad for his children and I hope they don't deal with his rash authoritarian attitude.

The operator on the phone was very rude and inconsiderate to the customer. When we tried to continue talking she ended the call.

Best dentist around by far! I drive an hour to go here and it's worth every minute. He is very thorough, informative and overall makes the process pretty smooth. Would 10/10 recommend as I have came to this office for the past 12 + years.

Dr.Rider and his assistants are kind and friendly and treat each patient with care and concern. I've had a fear of dentists my entire life and they always go the extra mile to help me through the process. They are a great team and I'd recommend them to anyone!

Great staff. My favorite assistant would have to be Barbara Howell. She will make sure your experience is wonderful. Although she deserves a raise. Receptionist has great personality.
