Dentistry is a wonderful profession. I get to help people gain confidence in their smile or move them out of dental pain, which improves their quality of life. Dental care helps people develop better oral, body, and emotional health. When people are healthy, and know their smile looks great, they feel better about themselves and more comfortable in social situations. I play a role in making peoples lives better, one person at a time!

Ive been practicing dentistry since 2000. I was drawn to the profession because of the opportunities it offers to really get to know people and build lasting relationships, all while helping them. Having a beautiful smile can truly change a persons life; people become more confident and outgoing, theyre more successful in personal and professional situations, and theyre happier, too.

I value the relationships that grow between my patients and me. Each of them has their own stories to share and I find I learn from our conversations. I look forward to each persons visits as a time to hear whats happening with their families, their travels, and their achievements at work or in school. Being a dentist is about caring for people on a personal level; its immensely fulfilling and rewarding.

I received my Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, in Lincoln. That education provided me with a great foundation in understanding oral health. However, this is a constantly evolving field: advances in techniques, revolutionary technologies, and new materials are always being developed.

In order to provide patients with the best care and treatment options, I must remain current on all developments. Its my goal to provide multiple services at the highest level to my patients; they deserve nothing less.

I complete many hours of continuing education every year. Im a member of CEREC Doctors, have completed a fellowship at the Misch Implant Institute, and another fellowship with the International Congress of Oral Implantology. Im also a graduate of the Progressive Orthodontic Seminars.

Originally from Rushville, Ive made my home in Grand Island for more than 15 years. My wife Katie and I have five wonderful children: Kinnley, Kelton, Kyler, Kamaera, and Kreed. Outside the office, youll usually find me with my family. I especially enjoy supporting my kids in their activities. I also enjoy playing golf during the summer and doing some hunting in the fall.

As a dentist, I appreciate the opportunity to serve my community. I am passionate about caring for people of all ages, from two to 102, and helping them attain and keep healthy, beautiful smiles. Every patient is unique: their goals, concerns, clinical situation, and their life are specific to them. I work closely with each patient to figure out what approach is right for their needs. This ensures they have timely, appropriate care and finish with a smile they love sharing.

My parents, all my immediate family, and most of my extended family are involved in healthcare. My father is a family practice physician, my mother is a dental hygienist, and my sister is in her ENT residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Becoming a dentist was the natural path for me, as I love working with my hands and being able to change lives while doing so.

I love how being a dentist brings me into contact with whole families. Whether Im seeing a toddler at their first visit and helping them get excited about caring for their teeth, or restoring a grandparents ability to chew comfortably, Im helping. I enjoy getting to know patients as people and learning whats important to them. Our conversations never fail to make me think, make me smile, and make me a better rounded person.

I continue to further my dental education in all aspects of oral healthcare. However, Ive concentrated on dental implants and completed more than400 hours of continuing education in implant and sedation dentistry. I have received an Associate Fellowship in the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID), a Fellowship in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists(ICOI), and am working toward a fellowship in DOCS Education for sedation. I am also a graduate of Progressive Orthodontic Seminars.

The ability to provide the best possible care, tailored to each patients needs, is essential. I keep up to date through continuing education, to learn about new techniques, products, and treatments. I want to use the most advanced approaches and technology to enhance the patients experience and deliver the best results.

I was raised in McCook, in the southwest part of the state. Now I call Grand Island my home. My wife Anna grew up here and graduated from Northwest High School. She has her BSN and has practiced as a registered nurse. Right now, shes a stay-at-home mom with our two young boys, Ben and Evan, and our new daughter Sadie.

Being with my family is important to me. I love time with the boys and watching them grow. I also enjoy sharing some of my hobbies with them: I love being outdoors, especially when were camping, fishing, and hunting.

I feel its essential to be an active part of ones community, to give back and help others. I volunteer for the Third City Community Clinic. I speak with the high school students and dental hygiene students about dentistry and oversee their patient care. Im actively involved at Resurrection Catholic Church.

Humans seek happiness. Sometimes it seems happiness can be hard to find; however I believe it starts with a smile. We all look for the best in people and a smile is the beacon of happiness. Surround yourself with smiles. Surround yourself with happiness. I believe that everyone deserves a healthy, happy smile that they can be proud of. I am very fortunate that with my education and experience I can transform and create lasting, healthy smiles.

I grew up north of Grand Island,on a farm near Palmer, Nebraska. After I graduated from Palmer Public School, I attended Wayne State College where I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Following undergrad, I was accepted into the University Of Nebraska Medical Center College Of Dentistry where I was awarded my Doctor of Dental Surgeries degree. Being a Central Nebraska native, I am more than blessed tobe able to serve the loyal community of Grand Island and surrounding towns.

My wife and I live in Giltner, Nebraska where she is a first grade teacher. This yearwe were blessed with a baby boy, Hudson. Our busy boy and our loving dog Winnie, keepus busy. When Im not at the office, I enjoy helping at the family farm, hunting, fishing, and being with family. We attend and are active members ofSt. LiboryCatholic Church. I also enjoy volunteering at Third City Clinic in G.I. and serve on the St. Francis Hospital Foundation Board.

Dentistry allows a bond between the patient and a dentist that is second to none. Beginning in fifth grade, I knew I wanted to be a dentist and help people. I enjoy getting to know each and every person that sits in my chair. I believe that forming a relationship with patients is very important and a critical step in providing care. I strive to listen and address each persons expectations, goals, and dental needs. Understanding not only teeth, but also the overall health of the patient is also of utmost importance. Open communication between doctor and patient will result in a pleasing end product and lasting relationships.

I enjoy every aspect of dentistry. Helping eliminate pain, restoring function, and preventing disease are the foundation of dentistry. Every day, new technologies and techniques are discovered and I vow to never stop learning in order to provide my patients with the most comprehensive care possible.

put in a filling that came out not even 24 hours after it was put in leaving the tooth exposed, didn't fully numb before opening the tooth, extremely painful. Had plastic covering my nose. Very expensive for poor work!
