Terrible experience with this place. Super unprofessional with scheduling and frequently left waiting for over 30 minutes. I've been stuck with braces for nearly 6 years, even though I was projected to be out of braces in 2. An absolute waste of time and effort with no flexibility.

Best orthodontist in town. My two kids got their braces in here and it was very good experience. Thank you so much for being good professionals.

I had an appointment and they told me the time of the appointment was at 4:00 l was running a bit late so l tried calling the receptionist to inform her l am going to be a little late ( she didn't pick up ) l drove there for 30 mins. ( the place closes at 4:30 that's what it says l reached there at 4:10) When l got there l saw some people coming out so l though oh is open so l was trying to go in but it said that the place already closed but the receptionist was there she saw me l kept on knocking on the door until l just left. This one time my bands snapped and when l went in the lady took off a bracket and said they will fix it for you next week when l came back nobody fixed it for me and l still have it not fixed. This is my experience. They did make my teeth straight tho.

So here I am literally writing my first review, I cannot say enough good things about this small but mighty ortho clinic. What a lot of the folks might not know about this place is how much they help underserved communities. Folks come to this clinic from miles away as they are the only provider who can see their kiddos and help them build their confidence. I am an adult patient here and I see how much the staff hustles and keeps things flowing. Very friendly staff that also represent who they serve and always cordial. All while trying their very best to keep everyone safe during a pandemic! Communication about treatment is clear and they are careful about how they treat complicated situations like my own, having crowns and a long painful dental history, they treat me with a lot of care and respect. Very compassionate and non-judgmental and this is important if you are an adult like me who is finally able to fix their smile! Their flexibility and all-around great service to everyone also makes them a 5-star clinic!

I was referred here by my dentist for orthodontia to address an unerupted canine. Partially because of my experience at this office, I chose to go a with different treatment option. If I had chosen braces, I would have sought out a different orthodontist. First, there are some major Covid safety issues happening. Despite having someone monitoring the door, the waiting room was FULL of people (especially tweens and teens) despite all of the Covid occupancy restrictions. They had removed chairs to encourage social distancing, but there were at least 10 other people in the very small waiting room, most of them children. Tweens, of course, do not yet have the brain development to make good risk assessment and they often spend time in close quarters with others because of school/sports. So, I felt very uncomfortable being exposed to so many different children from different households. Moreover, the office was running 30 minutes behind schedule and it wasn't cold out (so I could have waited in my car or outside), but they still had me sit in the waiting room all that time, despite there being a pandemic (this was October, so cases were rapidly increasing). I worried about having to attend monthly appointments in that office environment throughout Covid winter. This was a major factor in my decision against orthodontia and against this office. It might be worth considering having "Adult Orthodontia Hours" in the office, just like supermarkets have "Vulnerable Adult Hours." I think there might have been mouse poop on the carpet in the consultation room. Could have been something else, so don't hold me to that. Beyond Covid safety and general cleanliness, communication was a huge issue. I didn't even know what doctor I was seeing when I arrived at my appointment or when I left. Apparently, I was assigned to Dr Espe, who was about to return to the office from maternity leave. I saw a leave replacement. Also, I had a cyst around my unerupted tooth, which was visible on the x-ray and would have needed to be removed before I even had the braces put on. However, the temporary orthodontist said nothing about it and handed me a preliminary treatment plan with a $5800 price tag and told me I'd go to the oral surgeon sometime at the end of 2021! My general dentist asked for the x-rays from Richfield Orthodontics (they sent them very quickly), and she was the one that called me about the cyst and referred me to the oral surgeon. Eventually, my dentist consulted with Dr. Espe. When I spoke with my general dentist about the whole situation, she said that Dr. Espe had planned on calling me shortly after and would have referred me to an oral surgeon then. I never received a call from Dr. Espe. I'd like to give everyone the benefit of the doubt - the whole situation was complicated because staff transitions. However, it was still disconcerting that no one from the office had reached out to me about the cyst on my tooth...just scheduled me for $5800 braces!

My daughter just had her braces removed today (third child to go through treatment here!) - she can't stop SMILING! We left the office at the same time as another young gentleman who also had his braces removed - nothing but smiles from him too! Doctors & staff do a great job at that bustling little office.

We see Dr. Espe for my daughter's braces and have had an excellent experience. They are great about flexibility for appointments, answer all of our questions, and are very responsive when we reach out. I definitely recommend Richfield Ortho!

Great place and environment only thing is it took a YEAR for them to send out X-ray photos to our insurance. I got the whole run around and it was irritating, especially the lady in the front desk Jenefer she has an attitude and is really lazy at her job. She was the one handling the file and just couldn't send it out. I still can't believe she hasn't been let go. I hear everybody complains about her. Really really disappointed on they handled my sisters case as well.
