Dr. Daniel T. Richardson grew up in Edmonton, Canada. He received his undergraduate degree from Oakwood College and his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania. He then obtained his medical degree at Harvard Medical School.

Prior to entering private practice, Dr. Richardson completed a rigorous oral and maxillofacial surgical internship and residency program at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard-affiliated hospitals, including Childrens Hospital of Boston and Brigham and Womens Hospital. With a special interest in dento-skeletal deformities, he then completed an additional fellowship year at the Posnick Center for Facial Plastic Surgery in Chevy Chase, MD.

In 2009, Dr. Richardson opened Richardson Center Oral & Facial Surgery. He and his staff are dedicated to prioritizing excellence of care in a friendly and relaxed environment, where each patient is cared for as an individual.

Dr. Richardsons priority is maintaining and restoring his patients dentition. He enjoys serving a diverse community and finding solutions to challenging cases. He equally enjoys the personal interactions with each and every patient, no matter the depth of the procedures or treatment plan.

As an Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. Richard is interested in full-arch dental implant cases to restore a patients appearance and occlusion. He also performs a full range of single dental implant and bone grafting procedures and has expertise ranging from corrective jaw surgery to wisdom tooth removal.

Dr. Richardson is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. He is also a Fellow of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and a member of the Maryland Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. Through these organizations, he has access to numerous opportunities to further enhance his education and skills. In addition to attending annual meetings, lectures, seminars, and hands-on training, he studies the latest peer-reviewed journals and other publications.

By staying at the forefront of the latest trends, emerging research, and discussions of best practices, Dr. Richardson ensures each patient receives evidence-based care for the ideal procedure and outcome.

We are pleased to introduce the newest addition to our oral surgery practice, Neeru Singh DDS, MD, MA. Dr. Singh joins us from New York City where she was in private practice. She received her undergraduate degree from New York University, and then went on to attend Columbia University for her Doctorate in Dental Surgery. While there, she also obtained her Masters degree in Supervision in Science Education from Teachers College.

Dr. Singhs background includes an oral and maxillofacial surgery internship and residency in New York at Mount Sinai Beth Israel and Jacobi Medical Center. She obtained her medical degree at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Additionally, she completed a general surgery internship at Mount Sinai Beth Israel. Her special interest in skeletodental deformities led her to pursue an additional fellowship year at the Posnick Center for Facial Plastic Surgery in Chevy Chase, MD and Georgetown University Hospital.

The doctors and staff understand that the thought of oral surgery can be stressful and possibly lead to fear and worry. Your comfort and trust are important, so they take time to demystify all aspects of your procedure and welcome the inclusion of other family during the treatment planning process.

Your doctor and the staff will walk you through your diagnosis, explaining the clinical concerns and what needs to be addressed. They will then explain the options to correct the issue, discussing what is involved, what to expect before, during, and post-surgery, and timelines. Your questions are welcomed and will be fully answered.

Throughout the treatment planning process, you will gain an understanding of the procedure and be guided to make decisions that are right for your situation. This helps to ease any anxiety and shows that your wellbeing is at the forefront of all that happens.

Dr. Richardson and Dr. Singh are both medical doctors and dentists. They have completed extensive internships and residencies in oral and maxillofacial surgery, as well as additional intensive fellowships in facial plastic surgery focused on dento-skeletal deformities.

This advanced education and training allows the doctors to manage and correct a range of injuries, defects, and diseases in the head, neck, face, jaws, and hard and soft tissues of the oral and maxillofacial region. In addition to tooth extractions and oral biopsies, the doctors have extensive experience in treating facial and jaw trauma and providing full-arch reconstruction.

My complaint is that we drove all the way from Upper Marlboro, MD. Only to be told that the surgery was canceled. I was NEVER CONTACTED. I am a teacher and used my Leave in order to take this Confirmed Date to have my son's wisdom teeth removed. Based on my heated discussion with them, they worked it out and did the surgery that day. The work was professionally done. It just frustrated me that I had to go through this. The doctor apologized.

Dr. Richardson is very friendly and takes the time to address any concerns which helped ease my mind before the procedure. The extracction itself was painless and quick.

They need to find new office support. The first time I called the phone hung up in my face after I requested an appointment and I called back and it went to voicemail I left a voicemail explaining what happened and never received a call back. I called back a couple of days later and again the phone hung up after I requested an appointment so I called back AGAIN and someone with a different voice answered the phone. I explained my recent experience of being hung up on and asked was everything ok and were they taking appointments. No apology for an inconvenience or explanation. She just glossed over what I just explained to her that keeps happening. I guess they don't care for any new business which is fine but it's always good to have good customer service within a business. I'm highly disappointed with my initial interaction. I wonder is the surgeon is aware????

Dr. Richardson is a brilliant surgeon and I am very happy with his work. However, his financial/billing staff is horrible, rude, and incompetent. Before I even had my procedure, I let the billing department know that I have primary and secondary dental insurance. Despite knowing this, they refused send a claim to my secondary dental insurance causing me to have to pay out of pocket for the remainder of my procedure. I was told that I would get a full refund for what i had to pay out of pocket once my secondary insurance sent a payment to their office. I called a few weeks later to follow up with this office about the status of my refund and they never even sent the claim out to my secondary insurance! I asked why this wasn't done in a timely manner and the someone from billing replied " I send it now". I didn't receive any apology or explanation why they didn't follow through with submitting the claim. When they finally submitted the claim to my secondary insurance, my secondary insurance insured me that they processed the payment and sent a check out on May 16th and that the payment was received and cashed by this office on May 23rd. I called this office on June 7th to inquire about my refund. I spoke with Deborah (who is completely incompetent and rude) around 2PM, and she confirmed the payment was posted to my account and that I have a credit. I asked her why do I have a credit and not a refund? I also asked why she or Holly didn't reach out to me to figure out how I'd like to receive my refund. They know I wanted a refund, there was no reason to post a credit to my account because my procedure is done with Dr. Richardson. Deborah's response to my question was " well, it's only been two weeks since we posted it". Her response was not acceptable nor did it make sense. On top of that, Deborah calls me back like at 2:40PM to tell me that they never received a payment from my insurance. Which is a lie! I sent all emails from my secondary insurance as well as the check number to prove my point. Holly conveniently out of the office yesterday, but let's pray she follows up. If not, I am reporting this office for insurance fraud and theft. They literally owe me $1076.36, had my check for over two weeks and is trying to say that they never received payment after I was told that the payment was posted on May 23rd. Dr. Richardson should hire a more competent billing/financial team because they make him look bad.

Took my daughter for a consultation regarding her wisdom teeth extraction and had a great experience. Staff were so friendly and professional. Dr. Richardson is great! He explained the procedure well and provided options for anesthesia. Instantly made a connection with Nik, who took us in the back. She's so down to earth and has a great personality - of course we got a long because turns out she has the same birthday with the front desk employee at my daughter's dental office who I also love, AND who happens to be her friend:) Overall great first time experience, will highly recommend.
