  • We have an enthusiastic, well-trained, and experienced staff. All of our assistants have been with the practice for many years and our staff has years of experience in the orthodontic field! You will always see the same smiling faces! Our orthodontic assistants are all experienced, knowledgeable and compassionate people. Our entire team strives to provide each patient a positive, caring and memorable experience.
  • We have designed our office to be a fun place to get a great smile! We have a comfortable reception area that has computers, a TV, and complimentary bottled water and Keurig coffee. Our new patient exam rooms are spacious and feature large HD screens to display the 3D images during the exam. The operatory has six patient chairs and TVs playing family friendly movies above each chair. We also have a birthday wheel so patients get to spin the month of their birthday for a gift card!
  • We follow the guidelines established by the American Dental Association and the Centers for Disease Control and routinely replace our sterilization equipment to assure all sterilization methods are current and safe for our patients.
  • Upon completion of the final stage of braces, we offer fixed upper and lower retainers (small wires glued to the back of the front teeth) and removable upper and lower retainers that only have to be worn at night. We want your smile to stay beautiful for years to come!
  • Many area dental professionals, such as family dentists, pediatric dentists, oral surgeons, periodontists and their staff members, have given us the privilege of treating themselves, their spouses and their children.     Dr. Null is originally from Birmingham, Alabama. He moved to Houston in 2015 for his orthodontic residency, where he met and married his wife, Carly, a native Houstonian. They are excited about this new chapter together and look forward to joining this community. They enjoy traveling together, spending time with their families, and watching college football.

    Dr. Null graduated with honors from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He earned his Doctorate of Dental Medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry, where he was class valedictorian and inducted into the OKU Honor Society. After dental school, he completed a two-year orthodontic residency program at the University of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston, earning a Masters of Science as well as a Certificate in Orthodontics. Dr. Null is dedicated to treating his patients with the very best care possible, and he feels blessed to be a part of the Richards Orthodontics team.

    Dr. Richards not only spends his days with a staff of 11 women, but he also has a family of five women! He and his wife, Sheryll, have been married for over 33 years, reside in Kingwood, where they attend Woodridge Baptist Church. They are very proud of their four daughters: Meghan, who is a graduate of Texas A&M; Amy, who is a graduate of Ole Miss; Kaylee, who is a graduate of TCU; and Josey, who is also a graduate of TCU. Dr. Richards supports the community by sponsoring many athletic teams, school events, mission trips, and other various activities involving his patients. He has also been on several mission trips himself, including trips to Mexico, India and Africa.

    Dr. Richards attended Texas A&M University, where he was recognized as a distinguished student. In 1985, Dr. Richards graduated from The University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston where he earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. After dental school, he completed a comprehensive, two-year, full-time residency in orthodontics at The University of Louisville School of Dentistry in Kentucky and is a specialist in the field of orthodontics. Dr. Richards is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Southwestern Society of Orthodontists, the Texas Dental Society, the Greater Houston Dental Society and the North Houston Seattle Study Club.

    Dr. Richards has been in the exclusive practice of orthodontics in Kingwood for over 30 years and has treated over 10,000 patients! Dr. Richards is a progressive and experienced orthodontist who keeps informed on current developments and the newest techniques in his field by attending many hours of continuing education every year. He uses technology whenever possible to raise the standard of care for his patients while at the same time making it a more pleasant experience. He treats children, teenagers and adults and loves creating beautiful smiles with a commitment to excellence.
