Dr. Richards graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Maryland. He then attended the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery for four years graduating at the top 5% of his class. He then completed a hospital residency at University Hospital with special emphasis on oral surgery and cleft lip and palate treatment. This training was all in preparation for a three-year orthodontic residency which he completed at the University of Maryland in 1991.
Dr. Richards moved to the Southwest Florida area with his family and has been practicing orthodontics in Lee County for the past 30 years. He is a past President of both the Lee County Dental Society and the Florida Association of Orthodontists where he has maintained constant memberships. Other memberships include the Florida Dental Association, the American Dental Association and the Florida Cleft Lip and Palate Association. Additionally, he has been an important part of the Lee County Cleft Lip and Palate Team since 1991 where his participation has been rewarding treating patients both locally and on his Central America Mission trips.
Dr. Richards lives in Fort Myers with his wife Kimberley and together they have raised five children: Whitney, Kelly, Tyler, Krystal and Olivia. He loves sunny Southwest Florida and all it has to offer. He also loves practicing orthodontics and plans to continue helping people smile in southwest Florida for a long time!
Dr. Levine is a native of Southwest Florida, graduating from Fort Myers High School in 2009 where he received the prestigious Principals Unsung Hero Award. He received a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Molecular Biology, from Vanderbilt University in 2012 topping the Deans list and graduating early. He continued his education by receiving his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Florida College of Dentistry in 2017. He has just recently completed a three-year Orthodontic residency at the Georgia School of Orthodontics. He is extremely well trained and ready to add his expertise to our practice. Dr. Levine is a member of the Florida Dental Association, American Dental Association, Southern Association of Orthodontists and the American Association of Orthodontists.
As a team member, we all share Dr. Richards and Dr. Levine's vision for making beautiful smiles and are especially interested in making all our patients feel right at home! We aim to provide both an energetic and fun loving atmosphere for every patient while putting their needs first to achieve efficient, comprehensive treatment and exceptional results.
Every staff member is well trained and are proficient in their respective field. Members of our team have Orthodontic Expanded Functions and X-Ray certifications. Our goal is to stay abreast of the very latest technological advance by regularly attending continuing education courses and seminars.

FIRST visit: Great staff! Very kind and patient! Now that I am an ortho client, I am displeased with a member of your front line staff. I am a working adult and our time/and emergencies need to be respected and handled with a bit more dignity. Instead, I am left feeling as 'we got your money' and I am now at the mercy of YOUR convenience. Very disappointing.....

My daughter was referred for a consultation with Dr. Richards to get a second opinion on correcting her overbite after a scary experience we had at a pediatric dentist who recommended surgery. Everyone in the office is incredibly kind! Dr. Richards was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything and gave us a solution to where surgery wouldn't be needed! I'm very happy he was referred to us and will use him in a heartbeat if any of my other children need an orthodontist!

We were on vacation and my son's wire came loose. Our resort recommended Richards & Levine Orthodontics. The office fit us in the next day (I called late in the afternoon) and the staff could not have been more kind or accommodating. They even figured out why my son's wire continues to come loose and recommend a fix once we were home. The office is extremely clean and comfortable. If you live in the area, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend you use Richards & Levine Orthodontics.
