Dr. Richard W. Kaplan is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Specialist and is a diplomat of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Kaplan graduated from the University of Witwatersrand Dental School in Johannesburg, South Africa.
He obtained his medical degree from the University of Miami and completed an internship in general surgery at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas Texas. Dr. Kaplan then completed a residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami Florida, as well as a fellowship in facial deformities at the same institute.
Dr. Kaplan is a licensed physician and dentist in the state of Florida. Dr. Kaplan is uniquely qualified as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon as he possesses both a Medical (MD) and Dental (DDS) degree distinguishing him in his field.
Dr. Kaplan holds several positions at St. Marys Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Florida including: Chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and he is the Division Director and Head of the Department of Surgery. He is also a member of the Medical Executive Committee at St. Marys Medical Center.
