Friendly smiles and a state-of-the-art atmosphere warmly welcome patients of all ages to the practice of Richard J. Stuart, DDS, in Indianapolis. Dr. Stuart specializes in prosthetic and cosmetic dentistry, and he makes educating patients on the importance of good oral hygiene a priority. From routine cleanings to restorative dental work, Dr. Stuart and his dedicated team help patients prevent disease and maintain their healthy smiles for a lifetime.
Dr. Stuart began his education at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, where he earned his bachelors degree. He earned his medical technology certification from Ball Memorial Hospital, and graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry, in Indianapolis. He continued with his postgraduate training in prosthodontics, also at IUSD.
As part of his ongoing passion for artfully creating more beautiful smiles for the people of Indianapolis and the surrounding Washington Township communities, Dr. Stuart maintains professional memberships in numerous American dental associations. He is a fellow of the International Team of Implantologists, and hes a team dentist for the Indianapolis Colts and the Indianapolis Ice.
Dr. Stuart and his dedicated dental team participate in seminars and trainings so they can stay updated on the latest dental technologies and procedures. As a result, patients receive the highest standard of care thats both technologically advanced, safe, and as comfortable as possible. Dr. Stuart and his team follow strict sterilization guidelines and focus on creating a positive experience for every patient during every visit.
Amy joined our office in 1990 and has played an important role in bringing our office to where it is today. She has worked in nearly every position we have in the office and is presently in charge of working with patient's insurance plans.
Stacie joined our team as one of our outstanding hygienistsin 1996. She is a graduate of Purdue as well as IU School of Dentistry. Stacie hasbrought many new ideas and concepts to our hygiene program over her tenure. Sheand her husband have two beautiful children. Stacie enjoys watching her children's numerous sporting events, attending Our Lady of Mt. Carmel churchand playing tennis.

Dr Stuart's office is very pleasant, his staff is friendly and welcoming. My hygienist is excellent, does a great job cleaning and examining my teeth. The crowns that Dr. Stuart has provided to me over the past several years fit perfectly. Gaps are small so it is hard for food particles to get caught, yet it is easy to floss without breaking the floss. I have a great deal of confidence in the work Dr Stuart and his staff do. Everyone in the office does a great job at what they do. All personnel are also very friendly.

Dr. Stuart is one of a kind, a true professional, and renowned in his field. His entire practice epitomizes excellence in dentistry: friendly, intelligent and helpful office staff, careful, thorough and kind dental hygienists, and then of course his outstanding work to rally your teeth and smile. Over many years of cleanings, fillings, a cracked/pulled tooth, several crowns and chips repaired in both front teeth the office visits have been pain free, expedient and without issue. He has also referred me to other outstanding professionals (root canal & 2 implants) that are of his same professional caliber. An honest, hardworking family man, Dr. Stuart is the best.

We have been patients of Dr Stuart since 1989. Even after a move 45 miles away in 1995 we continue to drive to Indianapolis to see Dr Stuart and his great staff for our dental care. Dr Stuart and his staff have always done a great job taking care of us and our dental needs, even when emergencies arose. One evening I had an issue with a tooth and I called Dr Stuart. He asked me to take a picture of my tooth and send it to him. He was able to make a diagnosis over the phone - now that is customer service! We consider Dr Stuart and his staff like family and feel fortunate to have them to take care of our dental needs.
