I want to be a dentist! Dr. Remigailo did NOT grow up saying that like the little blonde-headed character in the Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer television special, but he did always know that he wanted to do something in the medical field to help people. His father was a physician and he enjoyed tagging along to the office and excelling in science.Growing up in Atlanta, he graduated from nearby Lakeside High School and went on to earn his bachelors degreein Biology at the University of Virginia (Go Hoos!). After college he returned to Atlanta to work for a biotech company for several years.Preparing tissue for surgical transplantation in the biotech lab led Dr. Remigailo to discover how much he loved working with his hands! He wished he could do that kind of work but with more personal interaction.Dentistry came to the forefront as the perfect career fit allowing him to blend his love for science and helping people.
Dr. Remigailo earned his DMD degree at the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry where he achieved the highest score in his class on the National Board Exam. He is thrilled to work in a field where there is always new learning to be done to maintain the highest level of patient care. He is committed to life-long learning and very thankful to the Pankey Institute, the Spear Institute, the Schuster Center, and the numerous study clubs that continue to provide world class education enabling him and his team tohelppatients achieve the best possible dental health, function and appearance.
He is an active member of the Hinman Dental Society, American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry. He feels strongly about giving back to the community and volunteers at the Good Samaritan Health Center Dental Clinic and participates in dental mission trips overseas.
Dr. Remigailo and his wife Eleanor live in Dunwoody with their three childrenAnnalise, Richard III and David. Dr. Remigailo and Eleanor enjoy conducting fun and interactive educational programs for local preschool and elementary schools. Other than spending time with the family, Dr. Remigailo serves his church as an elder and community group leader and loves running, biking, camping and traveling.
