We are excited to welcome Dr. Richard Knight into our Pediatric Dental Practice. He has dedicated himself to optimizing and protecting the oral health of all people from infancy through young adulthood. He strives to create a gentle, nurturing environment where families can feel supported in their dental health. He looks forward to getting to know each of you and providing individualized care to your unique needs. Most of all, he wants to provide a fun approach to dentistry that will lead to an office full of smiles.
Dr Knights interest in dentistry stemmed from his experiences as a teenager in Petaluma, California. He worked doing yard maintenance for a dentist, who invited him to explore dentistry as a carrier option. At the time, Dr Knights interests were in art and science, so the thought of doing both was exciting. After achieving a Bachelors degree in Chemistry at Sonoma State University with Magna Cum Laude Honors, he moved to San Francisco where he ultimately graduated dental school fourth in his class at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) in 2002. He continued to follow his passion by specializing in Pediatric Dentistry and attaining a Masters Degree in Oral- facial Sciences at UCSF in 2005. Since then, Dr Knight gained experience as a pediatric dentist by working in the Greater Sacramento Area and Sierra Foothills and has achieved the title of Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. He is committed to being up to date on new research and products to assure that our patients receive the best and safest treatment available.
Although Pediatric Dentistry has been his passion, he also enjoys spending time outdoors and with his family. His wife (and high school sweetheart) Laurie have three children who have interests ranging from computer coding to the arts. If you see Dr Knight around he will likely be with this crew. Perhaps riding bikes on a local path, hiking and having pie and apple cider in Auburn, enjoying a local community event, or with their dog at the park. If you like movies and video games, you may want to pick his brain... especially if it is retro.
Dr. Knight aims to make your childs dental experience gentle and fun. He wants to make a trip to the dentist something that can be looked forward to. Seeing smiles in our office is what keeps us going and caring for you child's teeth will provide a lifetime of smiles!

If your thinking about switching, do it! This place is perfect. Myself and both of my kids are super happy. Almost two years of dealing with a problem and the assistant found it in seconds! Today my son went to school with the biggest smile on his face. This place is golden with staff that stay for many years and a dentist with years of knowledge. Feeling blessed and grateful.

Just took my daughter in for her first visit. I'm absolutely amazed by the time and care they took to make her feel comfortable. She's only 18 months old and is scared of doctors and medical offices.... But not this office. She did so amazing and that's all thanks to the staff and Dr. Knight. I'm so incredibly thankful I found them! If you're searching for a pediatric dentist, go with him!

This is the best crew! They did an amazing job when I took my daughter in for her first visit! When I called them with a concern a month after our visit, Dr. Knight went over everything with me and was very helpful! I seriously wish they could do my dental work too!

My son is two and a half and has gone to another dentist for the last four visits. We decided to switch to Dr. Knight and we are so happy! He took his time to make my son feel comfortable. No tears this visit! I would definitely recommend.

Wonderful office, dentist, techs and staff! My daughter asked if she could go back the next day. My daughter has been coming since her first appointment when Dr. Krupansky was there and nothing has changed with the addition of Dr. Knight. I had both my daughter (3) and my son (15 months) with me and they were so accommodating having both of them at the same time. Couldn't be more impressed with the office and how great they are with the kids!

My 2 year old went for her first appointment here. Dr. Cassie and the staff were wonderful with her. They took a lot of time explaining what they would be doing and involved my daughter in the process. I would recommend their office.
