With over 33 years of experience and expertise in the field, Dr. Richard J. Heinowitz continues to offer optimal dental care to the infants, children, teens and young adults of Monmouth and Middlesex counties. Dr. Heinowitz graduated from Georgetown University, School of Dentistry in 1977. He continued on to complete his specialized training in Pediatric Dentistry at the world renowned Eastman Institute for Oral Health at the University of Rochester in 1979. Dr. Heinowitz continues to educate himself on new advancements in the field and lectures regularly on the subject of new technologies in dentistry. He is on staff at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and he teaches preventive dentistry and new approaches to pediatric technologies at UMDNJ. As a community service, Dr. Heinowitz and his staff provide a hands-on, educational dental health program to thousands of students in the Monmouth and Middlesex county school systems each year.

My son has been a patient of Dr. Heinowitz for years. I took my daughter for her first cleaning and found out she had a few cavities. I was extremely nervous at the thought of anesthesia. But Dr. Heinowitz and his amazing assistants distracted her and were so sweet to her, she never even felt the pinch! Cavities were taken care of in 2 visits. So grateful! Thank you for your expert and patient care!!!

Dr. Heinowitz has worked with my daughter since she was teeny tiny and barely fit in the chair. He is always patient and kind and makes it an easy experience for her. She's now 12 and still sees him. She never complains about his work (which means a lot to me since dentists aren't exactly Disneyland). I have nothing but wonderful things to say about him and the office in general. Excellent pediatric dentist!

I don't normally write reviews, but Dr. H and his staff are incredible! We are new to the area and I just took my daughter in for her very first dentist visit. I was so stressed about how she would respond, but Dr. Heinowitz put me and my little girl at ease immediately. He took his time, answered all of my questions, and kept us laughing. By the end of our visit neither one of us wanted to leave! If you are looking for a dentist for your child's first visit THIS IS THE PLACE!

Normally I don't like going to the dentist, but this was something totally different. This place was unbelievable. Literally everyone working there was so professional and nice. One of the hygienists, Karen, is one of the best people I've ever met. A remarkable person. They also had a closet full of toys for the children that was filled with amazing toys that any kid would want. Just an incredible experience, overall. I would say life-changing, even.

Dr.Heinowitz is caring, skilled, precise and a consummate professional. He has a fantastic rapport with my children and with myself as well. My two sons have been patients of Dr Heinowitz since we moved to Marlboro and I cannot say enough about the doctor and his staff. Professional, friendly, kind. My older son is now a student and lives in LA but he is still scheduling his dental appointments with Dr Heinowitz when he comes visit. I feel fortunate to have such a great dentist for my kids.

We go to Dr Heinowitz with our special needs child for several years. In 99.99% of other offices we would have to fully sedate our child to do any kind of dental services. Not with this office though! Dr Heinowitz is incredibly patient and kind to children, he and his office staff would teach you the process "Desensitization". Believe me even most of special needs schools or specialists would not touch that topic "with a 10 foot pole". We are very impressed and grateful to Dr. Heinowitzh and his staff for all they are doing to help our child dental hygiene to stay to-notch. Another filling was just done without a snag (and without sedation - of course ) Thank You!
