Our skilled team has over 30 years of experience and has a strong passion for providing the best dental care. We're conveniently located just a moment's walk from the Downers Grove Metra Station and right off of Main Street.

We consider our patients' concerns, needs, and goals when developing a plan for their oral health. Our assessments are presented with empathy and care and we work with our patients to create treatment plans that we focus on preventative care and oral health improvement.

Dr. Patelski grew up in Chicago but was born in Oklahoma while his father was in the Army. He received both his undergrad and dental degrees from Loyola University in Chicago. He received his Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry in 1998 and earned his Mastership in 2005 achievements which recognize his commitment to learning and require 1100 hours of continuing education to be awarded. Dr. Patelski sees these accomplishments as a symbol of his commitment to providing the best possible dental care to his patients. In addition to the Academy of General Dentistry, he is also a member of the American Dental Association, the Chicago Dental Society, and the Advanced Dental Study Club.

Outside of work, Dr. Patelski has two grown children a son, Rick, and a daughter, Suzi, who works part-time in the office. He enjoys spending time with his granddaughter and is a member of the Downers Grove Sportsmans Club. He enjoys fishing, archery, and other shooting sports.

Sarah graduated from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale with a Bachelors in Science of Dental Hygiene. Shes worked for Dr. Patelski since 1999 and loves the practice and community. When shes not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband Kenny and two children, Nathaniel and Kennedi, and their animals. Nathaniel has cystic fibrosis and she volunteers to help fight the disease with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Charlene was Dr. Patelskis first employee in 1981. After starting at the front desk and assistant, she is now the office manager. She is very proud that the office has developed in to a high-tech, professional practice that its now known to be.

Tatiana, who also goes by Tat, is originally from Romania and came to the US in 1990. She has been with Dr. Patelski since 2006. Tat enjoys her work and her wonderful patients, and shes proud to be part of such a great team. She has a husband, Gabor, and daughter, Faye.

Suzi is Dr. Patelskis daughter and has worked for him since high school. During the school year, shes a middle school math teacher, but spends her summers and Saturdays as a dental assistant and receptionist. She loves working with a great team dedicated to quality dental care for all patients. She spends her time off with her husband, Josh, and her daughter, Kasey.

Computer Digital Radiography uses sensors to transmit an image directly to our computer. We can use the computer-generated images to take a closer look at your teeth using digital zoom. This process is faster than traditional x-rays and reduces the amount of radiation exposure significantly. Our system is also environmentally friendly because no chemicals are needed to develop the image!

Using our soft tissue laser, we vaporize and modify the mouths soft tissues with unmatched precision. Our laser minimizes bleeding and can often be used without anesthetics. This precise tool causes less trauma than other methods and has a quick healing time with minimal pain.

The DIAGNOdent is a new, high tech laser system that aids in the early diagnosis of cavities in the complex anatomy of the chewing surfaces. It utilizes laser light to help detect and quantify demineralized tooth substances without exposure to x-rays.

This air-polishing system uses a mix of air, water, and sodium bicarbonate to remove stains, plaque, and soft debris, while simultaneously polishing tooth surfaces. This system is highly effective for patients wearing orthodontic appliances. Our jet leaves teeth smoother, cleaner, and whiter than other systems.
