Dr. Richard Murdoch was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He attended the University of New Mexico for his undergraduate studies in biology and chemistry and Creighton University where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1982. He has been practicing family dentistry in the Denver area for the past 39 years.

Dr. Murdoch thoroughly enjoys the Colorado Rocky Mountains and spends much of his spare time playing hockey, skiing, hiking, camping, brewing beer, gardening...and of course, playing with the grandkids!

Dr. Murdoch is dedicated to utilizing the newest advancements in dental and cosmetic dentistry and keeps up to date with the latest in technologies by attending classes throughout the year. He has the honor of being recognized as a 5280 Top Dentist from 2013-2020.

Dr. Murdoch is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), American College of Dentistry, Colorado Dental Association (CDA), where he serves on the Ethics committee, Metropolitan Denver Dental Society (MDDS), the prestigious Seattle Study Club, and the American Equilibration Society. He is also a board member for the Colorado Dental Association Foundation.

Dr. Murdoch is involved with many charities including Kids In Need Of Dentistry (KIND), Colorado Mission of Mercy (COMOM), and the Dental Lifeline Network, all of which provide dental care to those in need.

Jan has been Dr. Murdoch 's dental assistant and 'righthand'for over19 years. She hasan extraordinary ability to calm any patient 's fears and is constantly going the extra mile for them. Jan has a genuine concern and compassion for all our patients, but her real passion is working withthe elderly. She was a past recipient of the distinguished Alzheimer 's Volunteer of the Year award and continues to be an advocate for those affected with Alzheimer 's. Jan loves spending time with her family that includes four adult sons and a 13 year-old Siberian husky named Kai. In her spare time, she loves camping in Steamboat with family and friends, cooking, yoga, skiing, shopping farmer 's markets and vintage antique shops.

We have the pleasure of introducing our new hygienist, Nici (pronounced nih-kee) Brown who just joined our team in September. She comes to us with eight years of hygiene experience and has loved every minute of it! She has bachelors degrees in both Dental Hygiene and Spanish from the University of Minnesota. After completing her education, she moved to Colorado in 2012 to be near her extended family.

A small-town girl who grew up in a friendly, rural Iowa community, Nici enjoys forming strong relationships and establishing trust with her patients. She loves communicating with them by providing a friendly, comfortable environment for patients of all ages and backgrounds. Her philosophy is to empower her patients with knowledge and understanding so they can achieve excellent oral health care at home. She takes a very gentle and thorough approach to hygiene and especially enjoys working with patients that are fearful of dentistry. She likes to work in tandem with patients who have not seen a dentist for a while to create a cohesive bond between herself and the patient to help quell their apprehensions.

Always willing to give of her time and expertise, Nici has participated in group volunteer services to India and the Dominican Republic where they were able to reach and help those living in extreme poverty. She has given presentations to elementary school children that educates them on how to have good oral hygiene, and the importance of it. She especially loves working with special needs children which is her real passion.

A lover of the outdoors, you will always find Nici outside. In her spare time, she enjoys skiing, camping, running, climbing 14ers and DIY projects! An avid traveler, you will often hear her talking about her next trip and she would love to hear your travel stories. Nici currently has two destinations on her bucket list; a trip to Italy and Greece, and to see the Redwoods.

Judy Ann manages the practice's day to day operations ensuring our office keeps running smoothly. Customer service has always been a part of Judy Ann'sprofessional life. She came to us from the corporate world where she held a number of managementpositions, most with a primary emphasis on customer service.She joined our practice and has been with us for twelve years. In her spare time, she enjoys genealogy, gardening, reading, and spending time with her two puppy mill rescue Bishons, Heidi and Nikki.

Judy is our insurance and financial coordinator.Shecan answeryour questions regarding insurance and will help provide you with accurate and detailed treatment plan estimates.Judyis an invaluable asset to our team with her knowledge of dental procedures,insurance and superb communication skills. She has worked forDr. Murdoch for many yearsas his dental assistant and alsohis office manager. Judy is a real animal lover and enjoys spending time with all her pets. In her spare time, she gives countless hours to helping those in need.

Dr. Murdoch has two offices conveniently located in the Denver metro area. The primary office islocatedin Denver.Our second office is located in Centennial, just south of the DenverTechnological Center (DTC). Additional information is provided below about each location.
