Dr. Andrea Rice has worked directly with Dr. Alan Marcotte in purchasing his long-established practice. She grew up in rural Kansas and graduated from Burlingame High School. She then attended Johnson County Community College and University of Missouri - Kansas City (UMKC), where she graduated with an Associates Degree in Liberal Arts and a Bachelors degree of Art in Chemistry. She received her doctorate from UMKC School of Dentistry in 2014.
When asked about her education, Dr. Andrea expresses with a fond smile, Having grown up in rural America, it was a shock to leave the comforts of my community for the big city life. It makes you appreciate the values and commitment of community you find in Kansas.
Starting my career in public health at Flint Hills Community Health Center was fulfilling and educational, says Dr. Andrea. I learned so much about tailoring dentistry to the needs of families. She worked there for 4 1/2 years.
Cheyenne completed college at Heritage Community College in Wichita, Kansas and has been pursuing her career ever since. In her free time, she likes to spend time with her friends, family and daughter.
Danielle is originally from Shawnee Mission, Kansas where she was born in 1983. In 1989, her family was transferred to Branson, Missouri. While most of us call Branson our 'favorite' vacation spot, she called it home for 18 years.
She graduated with a Bachelors degree from Missouri State University in Community Recreation and Leisure Studies and later pursued a degree in Dental Hygiene from Wichita State University. Go Shocks! This desire most likely was instituted by her years of oral surgery for different complications with her teeth.
Joanne has been serving the patients at this office since 1995. Originally employed as a Dental Assistant, she ventured back to Wichita State University, earning her Dental Hygiene degree in 2001. Joanne is a 1989-graduate of Winfield High School and earned her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Southwestern College in 1993.
Joanne and her husband, James, have two children, Taylor and Trenton. Taylor is currently working in Wichita and Trenton is at Oklahoma State University, studying Mechanical Engineering. As Joanne and her husband ease into empty nesting, you will still find them out supporting the community, attending sporting events, active in Boy Scout Troop 318, and traveling to see their kids.
Jolene is a Certified Dental Assistant for 30 years and has worked as a dental assistant, scheduling coordinator, and administrative assistant. Her role at Rice Family Dentistry is office manager and handles patient accounts, billing/insurance, scheduling, and helping in the dental clinic.
