Dr. Steven C. Ricci earned two Bachelor of Science degrees in just four years at Wake Forest University, then continued his education at the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1996. This degree was awarded with the distinction of magna cum laude due to his high level of academic achievement. He held many leadership positions, such as vice-president of the medical campus honor council for two years, and served as a student member of the dental school admissions committee. He also was one of a few select students invited to join the prestigious National Dental Honor Society. After graduation, Dr. Ricci decided to pursue advanced specialty training in orthodontics for an additional two years to earn a certificate of orthodontic specialty and a masters degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry.
Dr. Ricci recognizes the importance of staying up-to-date with the rapid advances in the orthodontic field and continues to spend in excess of 40 hours per year on continuing education, despite the Georgia State Board of Dentistry requirements of only 20 hours per year.
Dr. Ricci founded Ricci Orthodontics in June of 2001 in the Johns Creek area. He and his wife, Kelly, stay very busy with their two daughters, Julia and Amanda, and their son, Brennan. They enjoy living in Cumming, where they live an active life in the community and are members of Saint Brendans Church. Dr. Ricci is an ex-triathlete that still enjoys health and fitness activities when time permits, as well as watching college and professional football.

Kelly joined our team at Ricci Orthodontics in 2016. She attended Georgia Southern University for a degree in Business and Marketing, and Ogelthorpe University for Interior Design. She has more than 25 years of experience in the dental field, which she uses to provide genuine care for each patient she meets. Kelly loves being part of a team that works together to help people gain a smile they can be proud to share with the world. Kelly has a son that is in college as well as a race car driver and instructor at Atlanta Motorsports Park. Exciting Stuff! Her hobbies include photography, biking and decorating. Kelly says, I love helping people feel better about themselves with a healthy & beautiful smile.
Ashlee is one of our certified clinical assistants and has been with Ricci Orthodontics since 2014. She is an Atlanta native but graduated from Loganville High School, then attended school to become certified in radiation and dental assisting. Outside of working full time, Ashlee keeps herself busy caring for her daughter and son, plus a bearded dragon! In her free time, she loves bike riding, hiking, long boarding, and catching up on sleep! If she could cover herself in queso and guac, she would.
Jennifer is the newest addition to our team! She joined us as a Patient Coordinator and holds the fort down with all things scheduling and Insurance! Jennifer was born in Dallas, TX and with a Mexican background, is fluent in both Spanish and English.
From working the drive-thru at Zaxbys, all the way to being a liaison for 400+ real estate agents, Jennifer has worked customer service for 10+ years and is one of the few that still loves it and looks forward to being a helpful problem solver! In her spare time, you can catch her at a rooftop patio with her boyfriend or snuggling with her 2 cats, Brennan and Dale.
Elyse joined Ricci Ortho in March 2018 as a student intern from Gwinnett Technical Colleges dental assisting program. After graduating in May, she was hired on as a full-time orthodontic assistant. Elyse was born in Maryland, and raised in Virginia and Suwanee, Georgia. She currently lives in Sugar Hill with her husband and awesome pup, Buddy. She enjoys getting active, cooking, spending time at the lake and all things girly! If Elyse could be an animal, she would be a mermaid-dog.
