Arturo Ricard, DDS, completed his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Puerto Rico and continued there as a professor of biology for a year, until he attended New York University Dental School with a scholarship. He completed his Doctorate in Dental Surgery (DDS) there in 1989. He then went on to complete a general practice residency at Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn, New York.

I started coming here because I moved here and did not want to drive a hour to my old dentist. I was not sure if I would like a new dentist, however it has been a great experience so far. Staff is great and the office is super clean!! Dr. Maria is one of the best!! I would highly recommend going here!! They are very accommodating too!! I had my teeth cleaned and then got started on 2 crowns , all the same day to avoid 2 trips!!! I can't say enough about the GREAT care I received today!! I went there today and had my teeth cleaned, and let me tell you that it was the best cleaning that I ever had!! If I could give 10 stars I would!!

It's so hard to get an appointment here. You've got to schedule months out, just for them to cancel the day before! This place isn't what it use to be at all. Hire more people. Go to any other dentist, save your time and your money.

Made an apt to get my teeth cleaned got my xrays done they say I need a deep cleaning the hygienists is not here they want me to schedule 2 more apt so they can clean half my teeth on the 2nd vist and the other half on the 3rd vist

Staff was friendly but let me tell you. They are money hungry. I am 29 years old and on a budget. I have dental insurance. I went in trying to establish a dentist closer to where I live in ft pierce. They came up with a treatment plan for almost 4,000. I haven't been to my other dentist in about a year but when I did I had a cleaning and NO cavities. A year later they say I have 13 cavaties... The part that really struck me as strange was that it was NOT the doctor who came up with this treatment plan but the "hygienists". The second really strange thing is they NEVER during my initial exam used an "explorer tool" which is usually used to push with a sharp tip too see if the enamel is soft. Not once was this practice used. MONEY HUNGRY. BEWARE. Also when I sent in for my records to get a second opinion from my other dentist they called me and canceled my next appointment. What's that tell you... Update 4/26/17. I just left my old dentist office in hobe sound. I have 0 cavities according to a well established dentist of 34 years. Im getting a lawyer. Malpractice! Update 11/11/18. Still no cavities at ALL. I should have gotten my money back at least. Wait till they bring you in the finance room after your first visit to talk about a payment plan . Good luck. Update 12/29/21 still no cavities

I miss my appoitment for 5 minutes, after it was confirmed I will be there, they give my spot to sombody else, $$$$$ you are not a patient there you are a client.

A friend of mine recommended this dentist, and I just wanted to post a review to say that I had a great experience. Unlike most of the dentist today, he didn't try to up-sell you but listen to your needs and understood what I wanted. All the staff was so sweet and kind and what I thought was going to be a painful experience turned out to be absolutely nothing. Would highly recommend

The entire staff at Dr. Ricard's Family Dentistry are always friendly and caring. Even though going to the dentist may make you feel uneasy, they have a way at putting you at ease and making you feel comfortable. They will answer all of your questions with their knowledge and expertise. I would highly recommend their practice to family and friends.

I needed a new local dentist after being with same on for over 27 yrs and being an hour away. I was extremely nervous about starting over with a stranger. I heard good things about Dr. Maria Ricard and thought I would try. Made appointment, very polite on phone, accepted my insurance, very clean office and the staff was wonderful. She was patient, took her time and most of all was a very calming with my anxiety. She explained and showed me what work was needed. Dr. Ricard and her entire staff was absolutely fantastic. She called me after crown to check on me. I am very happy and relieved to have found this practice .

Staff was friendly and experience was great until my $69 new patient, xray and cleaning, special turned into $213 for an xray and no cleaning. The new patient special was mentioned when the appointment was made, but apparently you have to mention it again. Almost a good overall experience...

I was a little nervous my first time visiting Richard Family Dentry but as soon as I entered the door and saw how clean and organized the establishment was, I got this feeling that everything was going to be ok. When I met Dr Richard for the first time, we started discussing my options for restoring my teeth. Finally, I chose the implants and the minute we started the procedure I knew for sure that god placed me in the right hands. He is truly great as what he does, very professional, always on time, he make sure that everything is right ecery time, especially when it comes to all aspect of the procedure. Every one of his staff is curtious and also professional each time I visit. I recently moved to Fort Lauderdale and I would still drive a little over an hour for my visits. So I definitely recommend visiting their office for all of your dental needs.

I love this office everyone is super nice. Dr. Maria is amazing, knowledgeable and very patient. I'm currently in the process of doing the clear braces (6 months smile) and I'm so happy with straight my teeth look after only 3 months. I started seeing a difference within the first month. The process was so easy and Dr. Maria is so sweet she explained every step to me and she called to check on me after each appointment. I would highly recommend the 6 months smile with Dr. Maria.

what a pleasant surprise after more than a few unpleasant ones at other dentists. friendly, organized, and clean but best, for me, was that i asked for a specific repair to be made to a specific tooth and it was done and done well. i need additional work and will be returning as the opportunity presents itself. very satisfied.
