In the summer of 1980, Reynolds Orthodontics opened office locations in Scottsboro and Arab, AL. Dr. Scott Reynolds received his Dental Degree from the University of Alabama in Birmingham School of Dentistry. He also was awarded the Deans Medal for attaining the #1 ranking in his graduating class. He went on to post-doctoral studies and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry with a Postdoctoral Masters Degree in Orthodontics. Since opening our doors, we have helped a tremendous number of children, teens, and adults achieve the smile and oral health they have always desired and deserved. Having been in this community for so long, we receive great joy in seeing our patients return many years later with straight teeth and comfortable bites, ready to help their child obtain the same results.
Moving into the field of dentistry and orthodontics was a natural direction for Dr. Reynolds. He became interested in the dental field watching and learning about the profession from his father, who was a dentist in Arab for 40 years. Currently, Dr. Reynolds has been at his practice for 39 years and has no plans on stopping anytime soon.
Dr. Reynolds is a University Trained Orthodontic Specialist as opposed to a general dentist who can also provide orthodontic treatment. For example, general dentists have only little or limited training through day-long continuing education classes. Whereas for Dr. Reynolds, in addition to the four years of dental education he completed, has also completed over two years of additional university training specific to the treatment of orthodontic problems. Experience and knowledge (or lack thereof) must be considered when deciding on the provider of you or your childs treatment. Treatment does come at a cost, so we feel you should do it right the first time.
I have worked with Dr. Reynolds for over 37 years. One of the many reasons I enjoy my job is being able to see patients that have had their braces off 30 plus years and their teeth look as amazing as they did the day the braces came off.
I have been working for Dr. Reynolds for three years now, and I am very fortunate that my work allows me to see changes in our amazing patients. Seeing the final results, when braces are removed, and patients seeing their new smile, is the best part of my day.
I have been fortunate to have worked with Dr. Reynolds for over a year now. I love interacting and assisting with our patients and their families. Dr. Reynolds will ensure everyone receives a beautiful smile; I am happy to be a small part of that process.
Although I havent been working with Dr. Reynolds that long he has taught me a lot. I love seeing progress with our patients teeth and seeing the excitement on their faces when it is time to get their braces off. Working for Dr. Reynolds has been such a great opportunity for me.

Big fan of Dr. Reynolds! I've had my braces off for many years but still see him for my permanent retainers. My teeth have not shifted and I've had my braces off for over a decade.

I have been going to Dr. Reynold's office for about 5 years now. They have done so much for my teeth and my smile. Each time I go I get the friendliest service and they go above and beyond to make sure everything is going good. I would recommend them to anyone that is looking to improve your smile! It has been years since I was last in Dr. Reynold's office. I had an incident with my permanent retainer and they were so kind to take me in and repair it all in the same day. We picked up right where we left off. I'm so thankful for Dr. Reynold's and his staff!

As an older patient, I had an excellent result when Dr. Reynolds was able to correct my lower bite. I enjoy his assistants and also his office personnel, who will work with you on appointments without fuss. Thank you for the excellent work you provided for my two daughters and my husband too.

I first started using Dr Reynolds in 2003 at age 12. I've always loved him and his staff. They use permanent retainers and I highly recommend. A lot of places have stopped using those and as a result teeth tend to shift. I'm thankful he used those on my teeth. They are still as straight as they where the day I got my braces off 17 years ago and I get compliments on my teeth often. He recently repaired my permanent retainer for me that had came off after all these years! He will go out of his way to save you money. You can't find honest people like him anymore. 10/10 would recommend

I have been a patient since 1982. I have received the best care possible since my first visit. My yearly visits to check my retainers are easily scheduled and keep the hard work done by my braces looking good. In addition to straightening my teeth, Dr. Reynolds helped me save a tooth by adjusting my bite and seeing that I have the proper retainers to keep it in proper alignment. Dr. Reynolds and his entire staff are professional and personable. I highly recommend this practice.
