I had an urgent dental need today and was able to be worked into Dr. Rethmeyer's schedule. I was seen in a timely fashion, and treated with care and compassion. My family and I have been patients of hers for many years, and continue to be impressed by her knowledge and expertise as well as the kind attitude that she and her staff have. They truly do a wonderful job, and I recommend them highly.

This was a horrible experience! I would not suggest anyone go here! I was told "You could pull the tooth yourself" I did not like that comment at all! I have one word for this place " Micro-aggressions"!! I did not feel like they wanted to help me at all!! And it's good to "Read The Room" because being pain is no laughing matter! But I guess the people here thought it was!! I will never go back! I found another practice that help me really well and treated me really good!

Got me in super fast the same day to treat me even though I was a first time client. Their COVID precautions are thorough and made me feel safe and protected. Staff was friendly and professional. I've found my new primary dentist!

Dr.Karen Rethmeier TLC Dental Care ! I woke up Friday morning in severe pain at 5:30 I called Dr. Rethmeier and left her a message that I needed to meet her at 7:30 AM at her office. I showed up at 7:30 and she was there ! I found out later that sometimes she doesn't even come in on Fridays ! 30 minutes later she found the problem and I was on my way home. She is an excellent dentist takes excellent impressions. A dentist that actually cares about you not just your teeth. I used to be a dental technician in the lab and used to see her work come in all the time there is a reason why I chose her !!!! Best dentist in Kansas City

This is by far the best dental office I've ever been to. My routine teeth cleaning last week was amazing. They went above and beyond. The cold water irritated my tooth so they brought in warm water so I would be comfortable. Today when I went in for more serious work, Dr. Karen stopped in the middle of numbing me to ask if I was cold (I was shivering) and they got me a blanket. They want you to be comfortable and they genuinely care. Super sweet and welcoming staff. You won't have have any regrets!

The absolute best dentist! Everyone there is so kind and they go out of their way to take care of you. I love it there. I would recommend it to anyone and everyone. She never makes you feel bad or embarrassed. She completely understands the cost and helps you strategize and prioritize.

I signed up through MDDS (Missouri Donated Dental Svcs) for help with my teeth. When I was accepted into the Free Dental Program it was Dr. Rethmeyer who became my Dentist. My gums were receding due to medication I was on. (I had no idea why this was happening until the Dr told me). All I needed were some crowns!! However, she pulled my teeth instead, saying that MDDS does not cover crowns. Then 4-6 months later I was speaking to my new neighbor, who happens to be a Dental Assistant (for 12 years at that time) and works for a Reputable Dentist. She begins telling me they work with MDDS. So I casually started asking her questions (she had no idea about what I had just went through), and then she tells me that MDDS DOES Cover Crowns!!!!! I stood there in shock then started balling my eyes out. This was Dr. K. Rethmeyer's Decision. She didn't care enough or she would have FIXED it! I mean who wants to lose your teeth!?! After pulling my teeth she immediately puts me at a computer and has me give her an A+ review. Along with a $5.00 Bath and Body Works gift card. I mean Who wants a gift card for losing 10 teeth!?! I'm not a child. It didn't make me feel better! I gave the gift card away. I had to sit at home, for 2+ weeks pulling Shards of teeth out of my gums. It was Painful, Awful, and Scary. Now, I don't feel I'm Worthy of love and I'm just darn Sad.. not to mention self-conscious and unable to do, or eat, certain things out of fear, embarrassment, uncertainty, and it's just very uncomfortable, Especially eating. I was recently in the hospital for a week due to severe malnutrition because I almost completely quit eating. I'm so tired of this but there is Nothing I can do. Lidia, her secretary, is a Beautiful Woman, Inside and Out. She is Lovely! A Wonderful Christian who Truly tries to help people. However, I would never go back to Dr. Karen for so much as a teeth cleaning. . She did not "work for, or help me, she did what was EASY and Fast, for Herself"! Put yourself in my shoes. Had it been her that needed some work done, You know she would have done crowns. Please get a second opinion. Don't just let this happen to you. Unfortunately, in today's world, if you don't have Money, Dental insurance, &/or you are broke, then you're in for a rude awakening because not many Doctors care! There is more to this story than I am saying but gonna leave it alone. I've given my True Opinion and Review. Finally. Yet way overdue! And YES, Dr. K, I am still in mysery about this and your decision!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you so much.

Dr. Rethmeyer is the best!!! I can't believe I didn't come here sooner. I've know about this place for a good 10 years but didn't go until today. My old dentist (a very popular one in KC, might I add) always has something negative to say if it's been awhile and I have a few cavities. Karen was SO down to earth and made me feel so comfortable. I can't wait for finish up my work here and take my baby as soon as she gets some teeth! From the receptionist, to the other staff, AMAZING. No pushy sales, no pay or leave tactics, just genuine care. She provided an iPod to play Pandora on headphones through all the cringe worthy dental noises. I said I was chilly and she pulled out a blanket! 1,000 stars!

I am Alberta and I really trust and had a great experience at TLC on bannister kcmo. The office welcomed me on the phone as well as in the office. I had called 14 dentists in 45 minutes before I looked at the yellow book and found TLC. Those places were not close to home and rude on the phone. When I told them that my husband was ill and I could not come that day they said they would not hold an appointment and hung up. When I called TLC lydia welcomed me. She gave me a ballpark figure and an appointment and the exact time I needed to come. When I got there the receptionist and the nurse both welcomed me. The dentist is really nice and gentle as well as competent. These are the three things I always look for. She fixed my denture and when I explained that I could not afford to have any mouth sores due to a medicine I take that she made sure they fit before I left. I have not had such a nice experience at the dentist . I would refer her to anyone that has a dental need.

Dr. Rethmeyer is the best!!! I can't believe I didn't come here sooner. I've know about this place for a good 10 years but didn't go until today. My old dentist (a very popular one in KC, might I add) always has something negative to say if it's been awhile and I have a few cavities. Karen was SO down to earth and made me feel so comfortable. Dr. Rethmeyer did a fantastic job on my initial exam and dental work. Her staff was welcoming and interactive. Dr. Rethmeyer explained everything she was doing which helped to calm my nerves. I would refer anyone to this office, I felt welcome and taken care of!

Dr. Rethmeyer IS amazzzzzinggg. She had a stellar chair side demeanor and is patient. Finally a dentist who will listen to me!!! If you are the least bit skiddish about the dentist experience, you must go here. Her front office staff is so welcoming and kind. My daughter recommended her after taking my young grand babies there... Her office makes you feel "right at home" yet letting you know she is professional, knowledgeable and capable. Thanks Dr. Ruthmeyer and staff for a awesome experience.

Dr. Rethmeyer is very kind and helps make the trip to the dentist a much more comfortable experience. Also, she is a magician when giving shots (literally barely felt a thing).
