Dr. Johnna (John-na) Thomas grew up just outside of Kansas City on a farm. She is a first generation college graduate and dentist. Her love for learning began while achieving her first Bachelors degree in Biology & Psychology. A year later, she attended University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry and attained her Bachelors degree in dental hygiene. She practiced as a dental hygienist in the Kansas City area for a few years, and although she felt it was a rewarding profession, she felt called to return to school in order to provide a wider variety of services for her community. While in dental school, Dr. Thomas was a member of the coveted Senior Departmental advanced studies in restorative dentistry. She was also inducted into the Omincron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. She graduated from University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry Magna Cum Laude with distinction and received the Dentsply Sirona Merit Award in Removable Prosthodontics. At Restore Dental, Dr. Thomas has created a judgment free atmosphere where patients feel comfortable and her teammates are excited to serve their community.
Amanda was born and raised in Olathe Kansas and currently resides in Eudora Kansas. Amanda has been in the dental field since 2011 and is passionate about patient care. She is very excited to be a part of the Restore Dental team! Amanda is always excited to try new things, shes adventurous and loves to learn. In her free time she enjoys doing activities with her kids, going to the gym, and gardening. She is happily married to her husband Nick, and they have two kids.
Not having enough saliva in your mouth is uncomfortable. Most of us have taken a medication or 2 before. A majority of medications, both over the counter and prescription, have a side effect of dry mouth, usually labeled as xerostomia. Some examples are: allergy medications, known as antihistamines, decongestants, medications for high blood pressure and depression.

10/10 i would definitely recommend. whole staff was very nice & sweet and im very appreciative they took me at the last minute. Office was very pretty and clean!!

From the moment you walk through the door you're greeted like family, with smiles and warm hospitality. They make a point to get to know you and they're great at working with your situation and they will always find the best solution. They keep you in the loop at all times. It's nice to walk in somewhere and every knows you and cares about you. They don't just check the box, they go above and beyond. And they do everything with care and passion in that building. Also, reception is amazing at communication! Definitely would recommend 10/10

Wonderful experience for my first visit today with Dr Thomas and her entire staff. Very welcoming environment, I felt like I had known them forever. The office is clean and comfortable. Dr Thomas was kind, thorough and took the time to explain her processes. I am so happy to have found a wonderful new dentist!

I cannot say enough good things about the ladies at Restore Dental! I have a lot of dental anxiety and everyone there was so unbelievably kind and understanding. Dr Johnna, Chelsea and Amanda are amazing! They explained everything to me every step of the way and made sure I was comfortable. If you have any dental fear or embarrassment, please go see Dr Johnna. You won't regret it!

Hands down best experience ever at a dentist. Dr Thomas is amazing and makes you feel at home and so comfortable. Amanda at the front desk is equally amazing , they work with you and have the best customer service. Ill never go anywhere else.

I can't say enough good things about Restore Dental, Johnna D Thomas, DDS. From the minute you walk in the door, it doesn't seem like a dreaded dental office. Dr Thomas takes the time to visit with you, doesn't scam you with unnecessary x-rays, root canals, whitening kits, etc. Dr Thomas actually does her own dental cleaning! Her receptionist is so kind and remembers you from your last visit! The dental assistant is so laidback, so refreshing! I was delighted to get a personal note of thanks later in the afternoon. I'm in my 70's ... without a doubt, the best DDS I've ever experienced!

The staff at Restore Dental are kind and professional. I had a very rough experience with my former dentist. I was very afraid of what would happen with my tooth. Dr. Thomas referred me to an amazing endodontist, who fixed my tooth. I trust Dr. Thomas and her staff completely. My three children also see Dr. Thomas, and they love her.

Johnna is an outstanding dentist..... in fact, in over 50 years as an adult she's the only dentist that actually studied my x-rays prior to my visit, which enabled her to correctly diagnose a post-root-canal pain source. My two prior dentists either mis-diagnosed or couldn't diagnose the problem altogether, which left me favoring that tooth for over two years prior to seeing Johnna. She has earned my complete trust regarding all future dental needs, is timely and a pleasure to work with.
