The Restorative & Aesthetic Dental Associates team is caring, compassionate, and competent. We work with you to make your experience at our practice pleasant and stress-free. Our dentists are highly trained, accredited, and experienced.

I treat people as if they are members of my family. After finding out their dental health goals, I empower them with good information from which to make good choices. Rather than lead, Id rather they lead me. (Scott Burke)

Scott Burke has wanted to be a dentist since the sixth grade. He believes that dentistry is a beautiful marriage between art and science a challenge to the mind and the hands. He enjoys howmouths that function wellare alsoaesthetically pleasing.

With more than three decades of experience at our dental practice, Scott has developed a style ofrelational dentistrythat helps him connect to his patients personally. This approach allows him to communicate with patients regarding their dental health, potential problems, and treatment options.

Scott earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Maine and his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Tufts University. He completed a residency program at the University of Vermont. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of General Dentistry.

Our practice is not just about teeth its about putting patients needs above our own. Its amazing to me how many people have never been offered the time to sit and talk with their dentist. Talking with people outside the dentist chair helps us get a much better sense of what they need. (Tom Corwin)

Tom Corwin has worked in private practice since 1983, first in Texas, and then joining us in 1993. He thinks its important to visit with patients and get to know them on a personal level, so they know he will be attentive to their needs and all the details. Everyone is different as far as their goals, needs and values, and those change at different stages of our lives, Tom says. Working on building strong relationships with our patients every day is central to doing the best job we can.

A Texas transplant, Dr. Corwin earned his undergraduate degree in Biology at Texas A&M University and subsequently received his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from Baylor College of Dentistry (now renamed Texas A&M College of Dentistry) in 1983.

He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine and is a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD). He is a member of The American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, the American Dental Association, the Maine Dental Association, and The Greater Portland Dental Society.

Dr. Corwin is a Consultant Examiner for the Commission on Dental Competency Assessment (formerly the Northeast Regional Board of Dental Examiners). He gives back to the community through Donated Dental Services, a humanitarian service to the disabled, elderly, and medically compromised.

Our entire staff views patients as people. Were all trying to help people achieve their best health by offering them excellent care, in keeping with their lifestyle. We take the time to listen and be thorough. (Leigh Philbrick)

Leigh Philbrick has been a part of our team for more than 30 years. He feels it is important to practice the kind of dentistry that people want, and to give them reasonable options, including the pros and cons of various options, without judgment.

He says this style of dentistry is good for the doctor as well as the patient, as it allows the dentist to do solid work that will last a long time and provides the patient opportunities to express their hopes and needs.

As a hygienist, I am one of the caregivers you interact most at the practice. I believe strong relationships coupled with expert care and attention goes a long way toward alleviating any discomfort you may have about going to the dentist. (Meghan)

Julie has worked with Dr. Corwin as his clinical assistant for more than 20 years. She not only assists with restorative dentistry, but is also an expert in the clinical aspects of oral appliance therapy for obstructive sleep apnea.

Everyones teeth are unique, and I enjoy providing the best product for each person. When creating models to show patients, I like to ask them about how they want their teeth to look. Everything is customized here. (Robin)

Robin is instrumental in engineering case design and does all diagnostic wax-ups for patients. This ensures the case is designed properly for function and esthetics and allows the patient a visual concept of proposed treatment.

Karen has a B.A. in Social Sciences from USM. She has also taken several courses in gemology and metalsmithing from the Gemologist Institute of America, Portland School of Art, and Humboldt University.

She enjoys meeting new patients, hearing their stories, and watching their treatment processes from start to finish. She enjoys learning more efficient ways of doing things and continuously implementing best practices.

Extremely friendly staff and answer all your questions. I went here for a sleep apnea device and they explain everything that they are doing in detail so you understand what they want you to do. I would definitely recommend going to them for a sleep apnea device.

Excellent service and very friendly people at Restorative and Aesthetic Dental Associates in Portland. Dr. Scott Burke and his assistant Tammy were very thorough in their initial examination. He paused frequently to let me know what was happening. Sonya, the receptionist, was also very nice. If you are looking for a dentist, I strongly recommend this office.

Today I had 2 filling, one of which was very difficult. Dr. Burke took time to explain the procedure he thought was best to do on the extremely difficult filling but gave me 2 other choices that I had instead of procedure he thought would work. He listened to and responded to my every question. He was very patient and kind never hurrying me. He demands of himself nothing but the highest quality work for his patients. Dr Burkes attendant, Tammy, along with Dr Burke, helped to create a relaxed atmosphere from the minute I got in the chair till procedure was finished. Dr. Burkes staff is very kind and courteous.
