Dr. Kumar has always been interested in Science ever since she was in elementary school and loved to work with her hands. When it was time to choose a career, dentistry seemed like the perfect way to combine her interest in Science with her artistic gifts and her desire to help people.
Dr. Kumar graduated from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in the top 10% of her class and has practiced in Phoenix since 1986. She has taught in the Dental Hygiene Program at Phoenix College. She is a member in good standing with the following associations:
Dr Kumar is a peer reviewer for the Journal of General Dentistry published by The Academy of General Dentistry. She is also a product evaluator for several different dental manufacturers. She has no financial interests in any dental manufacturing company. She is involved in research with the National Dental Practice-Based Research Network.
Dr. Kumar received the 1986 American Academy of Oral Pathology Award for outstanding interest, promise, and achievement in the field of Oral Pathology. In 1992, she was selected for the Whos Who Among Rising Young Americans in American Society and Business. In 2003-2004, she was selected for America's Top Dentists by the Consumers Research Council of America. She is a volunteer with the Arizona Mission of Mercy and Special Olympics.
Dr. Kumar is committed to constantly updating her knowledge and skills, so she can offer her patients the best dentistry has to offer. Dr. Kumar and her husband have been blessed with a son and a daughter and reside in Scottsdale. In her free time she enjoys cooking, reading and hiking.
Dr. Davina was born and raised in the valley. She earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Roseman University of Health Sciences in South Jordan, Utah, in 2020. Following graduation from dental school, she completed a post-doctoral residency training program in advanced general dentistry at the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health in Mesa, AZ, in June 2021. Her professional interests include cosmetic dentistry and orofacial pain. Dr. Davina is excited and honored to join the family practice.
She shares her mother's philosophy of practice which is to provide comprehensive dental care with the utmost integrity and quality in a welcoming, patient-centered environment. She looks forward to serving your oral health needs as part of a mother-daughter dental team.
Sandra began her career in the dental field as an assistant and workedher way up to becoming an office manager. She has over twenty years ofexperience in the dental field. Sandra is the first face you will see atDr. Kumar's office and loves interacting with patients both on the phoneand in person. She will explain your dental insurance benefits andfinancial options and answer any questions you may have. Sandra hasenjoyed getting to know Dr. Kumar's patients personally over the years.
Denise began her career as Oral Surgical Assistant and found that she loved Dentistry so much that she went back to school to become a Dental Hygienist. She has been a Dental Hygienist since 1986. She loves working with people and developing relationships and enjoys educating them about oral health. She is the devoted mom of 3 children. She also volunteers her skills as a Hygienist at an orphanage in Mexico. She is active in her church and loves to ride motorcycles.
Jackie has been a dental hygienist for 17 years. She started her career as a dental assistant and loved the field so much that she decided to become a hygienist. She has a passion for health, nutrition, and creating a warm, comfortable experience for each person in her care. Jackie and her husband moved to Phoenix from St. Louis. They have 2 grown sons.
Tyler was born and raised in Tucson and moved to Phoenix in 2015. He worked in prosthetics manufacturing for 2 years before moving to Utah. He became a dental assistant in 2017, working primarily in endodontic offices. He moved back to Phoenix in 2020 to finish prerequisites nursing school. He hopes to work as a critical care flight nurse and rescue hikers and outdoorsmen from their bad decisions.

It was a difficult procedure because of the age of the bridge, but Dr. Kumar and her dental assistant were kind, gentle and very skillful. Dr. Kumar called me at home later that evening to see how I was doing. Great people!

Been Dr. Kumar's patient for the last couple of years. The dental office is run well, with very good reminders prior to the appointment and minimal waiting upon arrival. Last cleaning was was performed by Dental Hygienist: Raquel. She was very pleasant, thorough, and did an excellant job. Dr. Kumar is very professional, caring and explains everything well. Highly recommend this dental practice!
