Dr. Chad Merkel completed his undergraduate studies at Western Washington University, then enrolled at the University of Washington to study dentistry. In the years since graduating, hes had the pleasure of helping patients achieve greater health and confidence through exceptional care. Hes also received advanced training in creation and placement of one-visit CEREC crowns.
Dr. Justin Hansen earned a degree in business administration from the University of Washington, with an emphasis in information systems. He followed a family tradition by serving as an officer in the U.S. Navy before attending dental school at the University of Washington School of Dentistry.
Justin continues to take extensive advanced training in order to refine his dental skills and serve his patients. His areas of training include cosmetic dentistry, endodontics (root canals), oral surgery, and sedation dentistry. He takes pride in providing the very best care available using the most modern techniques.
Justin enjoys taking time to talk with and educate patients about their dental health. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Washington State Dental Association, the American Academy of General Dentistry, and the Seattle-King County Dental Society.

I was an anxious client moving to this office after my dentist of 20 years retired. I am happy to say the staff was exceedingly professional, caring, kind, and helpful. Renton Dental's ineptitude with a recent crown resulted in multiple root canals which compromised the integrity of the new crown. Adding insult to injury-they are now trying to charge additional dental charges to patch up the crown. I have been a patient for over 20 years and have experienced a steady decline in their level of care. I am now pursuing care with a more conscientious provider.

My family has been coming here for years. My four year son actually woke up excited to go to the dentist this week because they gives kids tokens to little toy machines in the lobby post cleaning. All of the staff there are so great with kids. It's relieving as a parent to not have to deal with fears of going to the dentist. The equipment and cleanliness of the office is also five stars. You can tell these people love what they do and take great care of their work space, even better care of their clients! See you in six months, Renton Dental Arts!

Everyone is so pleasant! The office is so well run! I really like the fact that many procedures are covered in their office instead of having to go to different specialty clinics. The staff was very thorough in all aspects of my appointment. I was informed from the minute I arrived, through several processes, to expectations for the next visit. One complaint- the wait time when I arrived was so short, I couldn't even check my phone for messages!
