St. Peters Health Partners (SPHP) three hospitals St. Peters Hospital, Samaritan Hospital, and Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital have each been recognized as a Best Hospital for by U.S. News & World Report.

For the 2021-22 rankings and ratings,U.S. Newsevaluated nearly 5,000 hospitals nationwide on key indicators of patient care, specifically looking at 15 specialties and 17 procedures and conditions. In the 15 specialty areas, only 175 hospitals were ranked in at least one specialty.

The annual Best Hospitals rankings and ratings, now in their 32nd year, are based on objective measures such as risk-adjusted survival and discharge-to-home rates, volume, and quality of nursing, among other care-related indicators.

St. Peter's Hospitalwasnamed one of the best hospitals in New York state for the 8th year in a row. In 2021, it ranked 12thamong more than 200 hospitals in New York state, and the#1 in both the Capital Region and in northeastern New York. In 2021 is the first year Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospitalwas recognized on the best hospitals list, which is normally dominated by hospitals in larger metropolitan areas.Sunnyview ranked at 46thout of more than 4,100 inpatient rehab facilities nationwide on U.S. Worlds Best Rehab Hospitals list and was the only rehabilitation hospital outside of the metropolitan centers of New York City, Boston, Philadelphia, and Pittsburgh to make the list in New York state, New England, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. They were recognized for excellence in rehabilitation.

U.S. News & World Report (USN&WR) has awarded St. Peters Hospital (SPH) its highest ranking in northeastern New York and one of the highest in New York state for excellent quality of care. (2016-2017).

In rating nearly 5,000 hospitals nationally on key indicators of patient care, the magazine placed St. Peters Hospital 12th among nearly 250 hospitals in New York state and the highest in northeastern New York state.

St. Peters Hospital had 10 adult specialties, adult procedures and conditions singled out as high performing gastroenterology and GI surgery, geriatrics, heart bypass surgery, heart failure, hip replacement, knee replacement, COPD, colon cancer surgery, aortic valve surgery, and pulmonology.

Nationally accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer, St. Peter's Hospital Cancer Care Center has received the Blue Distinction Award for the Treatment of Complex and Rare Cancers. St. Peter's is the only health care facility in the Capital Region to receive the designation.
