Dr. Linda Chan was born and raised in Waterloo, Ontario and relocated to the Chicago area in 2013. Dr. Chan received her doctorate degree from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine in 2010. She then completed her specialty training at the University of North Carolina where she received her master of science degree and Certificate in Endodontics. Prior to this, she completed her undergraduate studies at McGill University in the field of anatomy and cell biology, graduating with first class honors. Dr. Chan has been very active in the field of medical and dental research. At McGill, she examined regulatory pathways of bone biology and tumor angiogenesis. At Harvard, she researched mechanisms of breast cancer metastasis.
During her specialty training in North Carolina, Dr. Chan completed research investigating the role of microRNAs in endodontic disease. She has presented her research at multiple national and international meetings. Recently, she received the American Association of Endodontists Resident Award (2013), the Jacob Freedland Scholarship Award (2012), and the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry Student Award (2010). Dr. Chans professional affiliations include active membership in the American Association of Endodontists, the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society and the Edgar D. Coolidge Endodontic Study Club. Outside of dentistry, she enjoys skiing, dancing, traveling, and spending time with her husband and family.
