These negative opinions of going to the dentist often persist well into adulthood, and affect lifetime dental care habits, willingness to get regular cleanings, and overall comfort level with dental care.
FYSH School gives kids a positive start with dental care. Theyll learn about dental health and form a positive view of visiting the dentist. Theyll see how caring for their teeth is not only important, but fun!

We provide educational, interactive, and fun activities for kids to become comfortable with the dentist and learn age-appropriate information about taking care of their teeth.
You can purchase preventative and cosmetic health products right in our dental practice. Every time you make a purchase, we donate a dollar to a local non-profit support program for at-risk members of our community.
This program at the Hope Institute provides oral health care and dental care to special needs patients. The proceeds of your purchase go towards a comprehensive dental clinic, full-time dentist, and care provider education.

So we look at your gums and soft tissue next.
Good nutrition and the ability to chew go together. Your bite function is a critical part of your health, because we all need to eat to be healthy! So, during each exam, well check your bite and look for issues related to chewing.
Youd be surprised how often a minor adjustment to bite can completely change a patients ability to chew and be healthy. For example, because of discomfort caused by an improper bite, a patient might avoid certain foods. A small, painless adjustment can make a real difference.
Some people think dentists just want to get in there, look at the teeth, and do some drilling. But we know that a drill is the least powerful tool we have. Theres so much more we can do to help you keep your teeth without picking up a drill.
Thats why looking at your teeth comes last. Yes, we are a dental practice. The staff is soooo very kind! I can actually say my visit was very pleasant!! Im not very comfortable sitting in 'ANY' dentist chair....so this is the very first time...ever...feeling as comfortable as i did at Renken...wonderful staff..very caring...answered all of my questions with no hesitation...I recommend Renken Dentistry .

I was so nervous because I had an experience with a totally different dentist that was not good. Not only did Elisia and Dr. Zerkle meet my expectations, they far exceeded them. Every person I came into contact with was friendly, professional and very helpful. It's a cutting edge, whole health focused practice that can also help with emergencies and some restorative services. Oh, and costs are very competitive, and they offer payment options. I've been to four different dental practices since moving to Springfield. The search is over.
