With a love of science and a strong interest in medicine, Dr. Rene Owen knew she wanted to be a dentist at a young age. She received her B.S. degree with honors in human biology from Michigan State Universitys Lyman Briggs School in 2004. Dr. Owen continued her education and graduated from the University of Michigan, School of Dentistry with her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree in May 2008.
Following graduation, Dr. Owen practiced as an associate in two central Michigan general dental offices where she expanded her clinical skills and dental knowledge working with excellent mentors. In January 2013, Dr. Owen acquired the practice of Dr. Lisa Knowles. Dr. Owen brings experience, a desire to grow, and a love of people to the Charlotte community. She enjoys all aspects of general dentistry including pediatrics and prosthodontics and looks forward to a long career in the field. Dr. Owen is a strong advocate for lifelong learning and enjoys taking continuing education classes to advance and fine tune her practice in order to provide patients the best care possible.
Dr. Owen is a member of the American Dental Association, the Michigan Dental Association, and the Central District Dental Society where she holds committee and leadership roles. She is also an active member of the NextLevel Practice complete health community.

This was my first visit as a new patient. The entire experience was very good. The staff was very professional and super friendly. Dr. Owen replaced 2 of my old fillings at my visit also. She did an awesome job and made me feel very comfortable. I highly recommend this dental practice!!!

I give accolades to the office of Renee Owen, DDS! Everyone there is so professional! The entire team is very caring and shows concern for the health of their patients...even beyond the care of their teeth! I was very pleased with my initial visit to Dr. Owen's office , and with the professionals who work there. After being greeted in the reception area by the hygenist Nichole I was ushered into the treatment room and given an extremely thorough oral exam followed by dental cleaning using very high tech equipment. Two minor issues were identified which Dr. Owen indicated would bear monitoring but did not warrant any immediate action. The entire visit was a very satisfylng experience.

I love going to the Dentist now that I found Dr. Renee Owen. Every experience there is like being at a spa to me. It's not just a dental appointment, it's great therapy just going. Unlike any dental experience I have known in 52 years!! I seriously thought I was being punk'd. They are so far ahead of the curve...to think I went through a lifetime of pure suffering, anxiety and everything in between...and all along here was Dr. Owen and staff! Can I get a round of applause seriously folks. Seriously!!

I really loved my experience at Dr. Owen's office. I recently changed dental offices and Dr. Owens office surpassed my expectations. Nicole was wonderful, she explained things thoroughly and provided me with many options/solutions. She also walked me through everything she was doing and ensured my comfort. Nicole is clearly top notch in her field and I appreciate and trust her expertise. Dr. Owen was also wonderful and it is clear that her team is well educated and feel comfortable sharing their recommendations with her and feel empowered to do so. I also cannot leave out Chelsea who was the very first contact I spoke with from the office, when I was looking to make a switch to Dr. Owen, as she was cheerful and thorough in explaining all the information for new patients and getting me and my family set up with appointments in a very speedy amount of time. Last, but certainly not least is Kathryn, who was a pleasure chatting with - it felt like we had spoken a million times before. If you are looking for a dental office that will make you feel comfortable, listen to you, and takes your oral health seriously, I highly recommend Dr. Owen and her team.

I hated going to the dentist until the first appointment with Dr. Owen. Everyone was so nice and personable. They actually cared about me as a person.
