Dr. Suman Vidyarthi (Dr. Suman) received his undergraduate degree in biology from Duke University in 1997. He then attended the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 2004. With a strong desire to advance his skills and knowledge, Dr. Vidyarthi completed his Advanced Education in General Dentistry at UNC in 2005.
Dr. Vidyarthi enjoys getting to know his patients and helping them maintain and improve their oral health year after year. Knowing that not everyone enjoys going to the dentist, he finds it extremely gratifying when he is able to gain a patients trust.
Elizabeth is our scheduling coordinator and has been part of the Renaissance Family Dentistry team since July 2020. She enjoys interacting with our patients and helping them feel positive about their dental visits. She also appreciates being part of a team that works together and is always ready to lend a helping hand.
Lauryn feels that being a hygienist is about much more than just cleaning teeth. She appreciates the relationships she gets to build with her patients. Her top priority as a hygienist is to provide patients with the care, education, and support they need to reach and maintain optimal oral health.
Kristy is passionate about patient care! Kristy has always loved the dentist but realizes that bad experiences can keep people out of the office. She makes it her mission to give every patient a great experience so that they stay healthy! Off the clock, she enjoys working on home improvement projects with her husband and spending time with her dog and two college-aged kids
Marina attended Wake Technical Community College and joined Renaissance Family Dentistry in 2019. She loves being able to help patients feel confident about their smiles and enjoys working for providers that care so much about our patients.
A native of Hillsborough, North Carolina, Marina likes to spend her free time with her dog Cindy and her fianc. She is at her happiest when she's spending time near the water, whether it's the beach, lake, or river.
Blair is a native of Durham, North Carolina, and joined Renaissance Family Dentistry in 2018. She received her training at Sunrise Dental Assisting School and loves that everyone here at the office is motivated to work together as a team.
My visit to Renaissance exceeded expectations. I was totally impressed by the check-in process. The staff was friendly and at no time did I feel rushed as I completed the required paperwork. As a new patient, I found Dr. Vidyarthi to be the consummate professional. He was patient, concerned about my comfort, and willing to devote as much time as necessary to diagnose my problem. Overall, I was very satisfied with the service I received, and plan to use Renaissance for my future dental care.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Vidyarthi and his team. They truly want to take the best care of your teeth while also ensuring that you leave a happy patient. After moving to Durham during the pandemic and putting off finding a dentist, Dr. Vidyarthi got me all caught up on cleanings and developed a treatment plan for me as well. I'm lucky enough to have them right down the road, but plan to stay with this dentist even when I move to Cary next year. Thank you renaissance family dentistry! Bonus- You get to watch tv while they clean your teeth! Makes the appointment fly by.

I have never been to a Dental office that treats you with such care and attention. From the front office all the way to the dentist, the folks there are great. The dentist explained with calmness and professionalism every step of the procedure as it went on. thank you!

There are not enough superlatives in the English language to rate this fantastic dental practice. New to Durham so this was my first visit. I have never had such a thorough, detailed, dental exam and cleaning by a dentist in my lifetime. Dr. Vidyarthi and his entire staff are wonderful. He explained everything he was doing and answered all my questions. He is very knowledgable and with a bedside manner that puts you at ease. Every person I interacted with took the necessary time with me which is refreshing in a world where there can be such a rush to get from one patient to the next. The office was very clean and covid safe with good filtration and ventilation. I had an issue in the week prior to my appointment that I got help with over the phone and through texting (they offered to see me but I preferred to wait until my first appointment as it seemed to gradually be getting better). The staff is prompt in returning calls and texts (another plus to this superb practice). Very glad to have found this gem of a practice and plan to recommend them to others.

Great customer service and quality patient care. The entire team is wonderful from the moment you arrive. The dentist is always very informative, friendly, and kind. I moved away from the area and still make the drive to go to this dental office, they are THAT good! I highly recommend!

I've been going here for years. I no longer live in Durham. I could not find a decent dentist so I drive 1 hour and 30 minutes for my cleanings.

Total Pros! Regularly updating equipment. No pressure suggestions. I requested restorative fillings to fill a gap that collected food and it was completed same day and was best filling I ever had :).
