Ever since Dr. Duong was very young, his parents always encouraged him to join the field of healthcare. After all, hes loved the sciences since he was a kid. When it came time to go to college, he slowly shifted towards a major that focused on healthcare and science in particular. Once he volunteered in multiple medical fields, he found that he greatly enjoyed working with his hands, and dentistry enabled him to do that the most. He also loved the opportunity to work with patients directly. Over a decade later, hes fully confident he made the right decision!

Upon earning his undergraduate degree from the University of California Irvine, Dr. Duong would go on to complete his doctorate at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco. Since then, hes completed a variety of continuing education courses that focus on many different dental topics. This includes pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, and cosmetic dentistry.

Today, Dr. Duongs parents live in Orange County, CA. He does whatever he can to visit them as often as possible. His two brothers live in Minnesota; one of them is a pilot for Delta and the other is a manager for a grocery store chain. When hes not working, youll find him reading, cooking, traveling, and doing just about everything related to Motorsports racing. One of his natural passions is learning everything he can about the world around him!

Dr. Kuans exposure to dentistry actually hits close to home his dad had a dental office himself, which was originally run by his grandfather! Dr. Kuan had the opportunity to work in his fathers dental office during his college years and following graduation. It was during junior year that he realized he wanted to continue pursuing science professionally. After changing his major from computer science to biology, he soon determined that dentistry would be the perfect fit. With ten years in the field so far, hes happier than hes ever been!

Dr. Kuan graduated from San Jose State with his undergraduate degree, then attended the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco to earn his doctorate. This allowed him to participate in the only three-year dental program in the country! To this day, hes found a strong interest in creating natural-looking restorations, such as fillings and dental crowns, and performing extractions. Continuing education is very important to Dr. Kuan and he has since completed courses on these topics to better hone his skills.

Dr. Kuan has two younger sisters, one of which is a high school teacher. The other works as a chiropractor. Hes married to his wife Diana, who is a dentist he met in Dallas. Together, they raise an Australian Shepard/Border Collie mix named Gracie. When hes not working, youll find him spending time with his lovely wife, eating meals with family and friends, cooking, and listening to music. He loves going to live venues to check out new bands!
