Dr. Greg has been working in the industry since he was 15 years old, in this very practice. He started as a receptionist, greeting patients and answering phones. After observing Dr. Salvatore Indelicato, he moved to become a dental assistant.
He attended Rutgers School of Dental Medicine for his degree in dentistry (D.M.D.) and went on to complete his residency training at New York University. He has an utmost passion for helping people smile again, because he too once did not have a nice smile. And thats why he is passionate about helping his patients achieve the smiles of their dreams.
Our goal is to answer all of your questions, because if you are confused about something then our job is not done. You are our priority. We treat you how we would want to be treated. Just because we are on the healthcare end, it does not mean we have not forgotten what its like to be a patient. So we go above and beyond to deliver an experience that we know we would like to have at the dentist.
So we help maximize your insurance benefits to help minimize and plan any out of pocket costs. Our team will work with you to help itemize your proposed treatment plan and detail either 1) out of pocket costs or 2) a payment plan.
Care Credit is offered and accepted. Our patients love this because it allows for 6 month 12 month 0% interest payment. It is useful for cosmetic procedures that may not be covered by your insurance company.
In house payment plans offered. If you do not want to apply for CareCredit or need alternative financing, our team will work with you to decide on a monthly payment plan. Usually our patients put 1/2 up front and then pay the remaining balance monthly over a period of time.

Both of my kids had a great experience. The minute we walked in we were greeted like we were family. The hygienist and Dr. Balaes were friendly and attentive. The office was very clean as well. Would highly recommend.

Dr. Balaes is a brilliant dentist. It is refreshing to actually look forward to going to the dentist for once. In my many years of visiting various dentists in Staten Island, Brooklyn, Queens, and Manhattan, I have never been so satisfied with the outcome of the consultation and work performed to provide me with both a healthy and esthetic smile. It is also nice to have a caring dentist that actually follows up with you after the appointments to ensure you are not experiencing any side effects or discomfort. The entire staff is very pleasant and caring. The office is very clean, welcoming, and has the newest technology to facilitate a more pleasant experience and outcome. Highly recommend!

EXCELLENT is an understatement. Dr. Greg and his whole staff are caring, professional and amazing people. They explain your procedure/s clearly and in layman's terms, patient education at its best. His dental office is impeccably clean and state of the art. My whole family always finds it a pleasant visit every time we go. We truly do not want to miss any appointments.

I actually enjoy going to the dentist. Dr. Balaes and his staff provide great services. Dr. Balaes takes the time to understand what your expectations are, explains to you any procedures and why, and then ensures that you are satisfied with your results. They are very easy to communicate with and schedule appointments. The office is immaculate. The staff is welcoming. Overall a great experience!

I had a root canal that was a botched job and was giving me pain. I sought help to relieve my pain and I went to Dr. Balaes. Dr. Balaes did a full thorough exam, diagnosed me quickly and gave me a clear, very knowledgeable explanation so I could understand the situation easily. And the best part? He was so nice, cordial, and comforting in explaining and doing the procedure. His staff was also great at making me feel comfortable and welcome - they were so caring.
