Dr. Rekha Gehani is among the most respected and honored orthodontists in New York State. A 1978 graduate of New York University College of Dentistry and a post graduate degree awardee of Columbia University School of Dental and Oral surgery in 1980, Dr. Gehani has been providing outstanding orthodontic care to her patients for more than 30 years. Her long and distinguished career in dental academia began in 1980 at Columbia University where she has served as an educator for more than 27 years and has mentored hundreds of students.
Dr. Gehanis activities on behalf of her community and its children are never ending. Among these, she actively participates in the Give Kids a Smile program, has served as the Chair of the New York Board of Dentistry in 2005-2006, is currently a member of the New York State Board of Dentistry and the Vice Chair of the CDEL Committee of the New York State Dental Association.
Along with her husband, Dr. Chad Gehani, who is currently the President of the New York State Dental Society, Dr. Rekha Gehani has been honored to serve her communitys dental specialty needs in their Jackson Heights office for more than three decades.
