My patients are, simply put, the best! By being honest and open with my patients, they return the favor, and are a delight to work with. I love hearing their life stories and it is especially fun to meet the whole family. Every one of us has a story to tell and I feel privileged that my patients share life with me. I also love dentistry for the science and art of the field, where I am able to combine my scientific knowledge with an artistic eye, and give people healthy and beautiful smiles.

I earned my bachelor of science degree in Health Science, Biology, and Psychology from Truman State University. I continued on to the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health where I received my Doctorate of Dental Medicine and a masters certificate in Dental Public Health.

I keep up to date on the latest research and technology in dentistry by frequently attending continuing education courses, reading dental research journals, and interacting with experts in the field of dentistry. In this way, I am able to offer my patients the best care based on scientific evidence. I believe that learning is a lifelong process and I am dedicated to extensive and ongoing continuing education courses that my patients can directly benefit from.

I have the most amazing husband, Jeff, who is my true companion in all areas of life. In fact, he is the business manager at Regis Court Dental Associates and has an amazing heart for patient care. We are blessed to live down the street from my sister, her husband and three children, and it is not uncommon for us to walk over to each other's houses for dinner. My brother lives in Chicago with his wife and three children and it is always a treat to visit with them. My parents also live in Chicago and have made many visits to Eau Claire over the years. In our family, not a day goes by without laughter. God has blessed me with an incredible family and they have truly been my support and inspiration through the years. I spend my free time with family and friends, going to our awesome church, reading, hiking, snowshoeing, jewelry making, cooking, trying new food, gardening, traveling, and playing piano.

Being an active member of the community is something that comes naturally to me. I am involved in sponsoring the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk that honors breast cancer survivors as well as raises funds and awareness for the disease through the American Cancer Society. I am also a gold sponsor for the Justice Run that raises funds and awareness about human trafficking and other forms of social injustice through the International Justice Mission. I believe that giving back to the community in even a small way can make a big difference in both the community and the world we live in.

On June 14, 2012 we became parents for the first time when we welcomed Isaiah Stephen Henson into our lives. When Isaiah was only 8 months old, we decided life wasn't busy enough, so we brought home a golden retriever puppy. Ellie has been an amazing addition to our family and we cannot imagine life without her enthusiasm and shear love for our kids. Yes, kids. On May 5, 2014 Anna Mercy Henson made her appearance and she immediately stole our hearts. We are so utterly blessed, and although life is busy, we wouldn't have it any other way.

It is my honest belief that dentistry is the most exciting of all healthcare professions. I have been drawn to the dental profession for as long as I can remember. It has been amazing to see how excellent dental care can positively impact people's lives. As a general dentist, I have the privilege of providing comprehensive dental care to people of all ages here in the Chippewa Valley. Being in this position, I am blessed to be able to develop relationships with patients and see their families grow throughout the years. I look forward to going to work every day to foster relationships both new and old. My passion for life is reflected in all that I do and dentistry is no exception. I strive to reflect that positive energy and passion with every visit. Life is all about the experiences we share, and I find great joy in being able to provide positive dental experiences for the wonderful people of this community.

I am fortunate for the path that has led me to become the person that I am today. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, go cobbers! (thats right a corn cob) Upon graduating from Concordia, I packed up my skis and headed west. It was in the capital city of Helena, Montana where I had the honor and privilege of being a dental assistant. This invaluable experience helped me develop a taste for providing an unparalleled patient experience. In the years following my time in the Wild West, I moved back to the Midwest to attend the University of Minnesota where I earned my doctorate degree in dentistry. I had the opportunity to practice in Minneapolis for a few years before my wife and I moved to Eau Claire. These past several years of practicing in this beautiful city have flown by, a true testament to the wonderful people in this community.

A life of continual learning and growth is a guiding principle I apply to all aspects of my life, and as such I place a great deal of importance on continuing education. My involvement extends from local study clubs to world renowned programs in dentistry. Furthering my knowledge of dentistry allows me to provide patients with excellent dental care by staying up to date on the latest techniques and technology.

When I am away from the clinic, I can be found outside with my wife, Brieanna Lise and our sweet baby girl, Sage. Together we enjoy all that the great outdoors has to offer and what better place than the Chippewa Valley to get out and enjoy our beautiful surroundings. Family is an extremely important part of my life, and I would not be where I am today without their love and constant support. I am truly honored to be an active part of this vibrant community and look forward to enjoying all it has to offer for years to come.

In the Circle of Life there are transitions - not just a beginning or an end. One of our Mentors taught us years ago that we all have transitions, and we all need ongoing focus. To guide us, we think of the Cross of Life a four armed cross which includes Prayer, Work, Love, and Play. Our daily goal should be to be a Whole Person with the arms of our cross as balanced as possible.

With our busy Dental Practice and our large family, Fay and I have often had to correct our vision and focus our Cross was often out of balance. The transition to retirement has allowed us to return our Cross to a much more balanced state. The biggest change in Retirement is the change to a much less structured lifestyle. Retirement for the most part means that when you get up in the morning, you have a lot more choices for the days plan.

When Dr. Lisa and her husband Jeff joined us at Regis Court Dental Associates, they allowed us to step off of a treadmill. We thank God for sending them to us. They are awesome. Patients -know that you are in good hands. Our loyal employees continue to enjoy the ongoing security and respect that they deserve. Fay and I have been freed up to continue our Journey. We say WIN WIN!!!!! With their help, our Cross of Life has assumed a newfound balance and it is great.

This past summer, we officially relocated to our Log Cabin in the Northwoods of Wisconsin. Fay says that This is where God Lives. Our days are filled with Grandchildren activities, Visiting Friends, Deer, Turkeys, Eagles, Bear, Fish, Golf, and Log Cabin Restoration Projects. (A few minutes ago I finished baking bread a new hobby made possible by my mentor Don who took me under his wing and shared his skills. This was a Hobby that we had talked about for years but with my Cross out of balance there was not time. Now there is time. YEAH!!!!) I have also decided to allow Fay to be totally in Charge and with that guideline our biggest disagreement usually revolves around What day is it??? Life is good!

We welcome the changing seasons at the present we are living the Fall Colors transition. Winter is coming and because it is long here in Wisconsin we will shorten the season with travel to a warmer climate. Retirement allows us to do this. YEAH!!!

The Chippewa River flows past our door the sounds of the rapids blending into the flow of our new daily lives. We Thank God and all the people who have touched us through the years and have made this transition and lifestyle possible. (Family, Friends, Patients, Employees, and especially Team Henson.) Loud and clear we are Blessed.

Regis Court Dental is the best. My family has been going there for 3 generations, from Dr. Theisen to now Dr. Henson. Dr. Henson is one of the kindest people I have ever met. She is patient and never talks down to you. There are no lectures about what you are or aren't doing, but rather an explains the importance of healthy teeth. All of the staff are amazing and kind. You could not get better service anywhere. Plus Dr. Henson has small hands.

Regis Dental is the greatest dental experience I have ever had in my entire adult life. The people are so professional, very, very kind and compassionate. The one other huge thing is the time they take to go over everything and no pressure whatsoever! Definitely a 5+ star dental facility!!! I am very, very pleased!!
