Patients with missing teeth can turn to Dr. Bruce Young and Dr. Stephen Glover Rowe in Jacksonville, AL, for permanent tooth replacement with dental implants. Dental implants continue to be a preferred choice for replacing one or more missing teeth because of their superior composition, natural-looking appearance, and oral health benefits.

using dental implants to restore or rebuild your smile. Dental implants are the ideal replacement for a missing tooth root because the titanium post of the implant is fused to the jawbone. This prevents jawbone loss and creates a solid foundation for a crown that serves as your natural tooth.

To prepare for the procedure, we may use the CBCT device to obtain accurate digital images of the jaw and to plan the ideal implant position. We may need to perform tooth extractions to remove damaged teeth or perform a bone grafting procedure to create a stable foundation for the implants.

Dr. Young has completed advanced training in implant dentistry at the Misch International Implant Institute and has also completed the University of Augusta Maxi Implant Course during his career. His expertise has helped many patients with missing teeth restore their smile and enjoy natural-looking results.

Whether you are missing one tooth, several teeth, or all your teeth, Dr. Young will determine whether you are a good candidate for dental implants or hybrid procedures such as TeethXpress. Your dental implants will be designed to look and function just like your natural teeth so nobody will ever know your tooth was missing. Many patients report having a better quality of life with dental implants and we are here to ensure you receive the high level of care you deserve.

Dr. Young completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and his postgraduate studies at the University of Alabama, earning a D.M.D. degree. After graduating from dental school, Dr. Young completed a one-year general practice residency. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Alabama Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Delta Sigma Delta dental fraternity.

Dr. Young has taken numerous courses in all phases of dentistry including pediatric, cosmetic, endodontic (root canal therapy), periodontal (gum treatment), dental implants, infection control and sterilization, and sedation dentistry. He received his Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry. The Academy of General Dentistry is an international organization of 35,000 general dentists. Earning the Mastership Award means completing more than 1100 hours of continuing education courses and passing a rigorous fellowship examination. The Academy is not a requirement, but a commitment to continuing dental education and to giving patients the best possible care.

In 2009, I got involved with dentistry and I found my passion working with children. I graduated from the Alabama Dental Program in 2012. I joined Regional Dental Center in September of 2013, where I enjoy working as a Pediatric Hygienist. Working with children is very rewarding and I am always looking forward to see them and teach them about the importance of their oral hygiene. Renal Dental Center is a great place to be, it has given me the opportunity to give back to the community and build long lasting friendships.
