I enjoyed my 2.5 hours in the dental chair. Not often someone can say that but it was true during my first visit to Refresh. I enjoyed the fact that the chair faced a window instead of a wall and was impressed by the level of customer engagement provided by reviewing the X-rays and dental photos shared on a large screen by the dental crew. Dr. Jandali was patient, thorough, and communicative regarding the scheduled dental cleaning and suggestions for further dental care -- ranging from recommended fillings and a possible extraction. The printed statement summarizing the work done and the dental options still to come was detailed and comprehensive and the front desk rep was quick and responsive in reviewing the paperwork with me. Dr. Janali was quick to invite my feedback and answer my concerns. I feel I was well-served by the staff. To sum up: Thanks for a Rebreshing experience.

Just had my second appointment at Refresh. Both Dr Chan and Stephanie are very friendly and professional. They carefully explain everything before or while they are doing it. Choosing a dentist within a network feels like a gamble these days, and I'm glad I found Refresh.

I have been a patient of Dr. Chan for about ten years and he is the best dentist I have ever had. I am very glad I found him. The entire staff at Refresh Dental are very professional and nice. I highly, highly recommend!!!

Dr. Chan and the staff is so friendly and welcoming! I came in for my first appointment with them to establish as a patient, and i felt so comfortable. They also take covid protocols very seriously. Dr. Chan was very thorough and kept me informed throughout the entire duration of my exam. I highly recommend them, they even have 7:00am appointments.

The office worked very closely with me to move my appt up when cancellations occurred; in and out in less than an hour.

Refresh Dental has some questionable business conduct. Dive into the reviews a little more, and you'll come across others with similar stories about odd payment schemes. They refused to provide me available appointment times until I provided my insurance information. They had asked why I was requesting an appointment and I had expressed worsening jaw pain that was affecting my normal day to day activities. They seemed to have ignored this comment, then took several days to verify my insurance before calling back and offering slots months out from when I initially called. They claimed my insurance coverage was such that I would have a $92 copay. I checked my coverage details online and called my insurance to verify this as I have never had a copay with dental insurance. None of my colleagues have copays either. Insurance confirmed that I should have no copay. Refresh's front desk person called me back a month-ish later to inform me they've had cancelations and I can move my appointment up. I say sure and ask again about the $92 copay, including information from my insurance. They email me a "treatment plan" which included three line items that are extraneous procedures/practices that are not covered by my insurance. When I ask again about the $92 copay at the office and requested to decline those extra tests and procedures (which included digital macro photos, an oral cancer exam despite having zero risk factors, and a $30+ fluoride treatment), I was met with derision and condescension. The front desk person started pulling out all the business psychology 101 tricks you can recognize from a mile away, even comparing the digital photos to heart surgery (???). I would also like to point out that charging $92 on uncovered, extra procedures is not a "copay" as my insurance is paying no part of those unnecessary fees. They are fees for extra, unwanted services. To call it a copay is dishonest. Given the ultimatum of upfront $92 or bust, with a little bit of gaslighting thrown in there for good measure, I declined and left the office. The front desk person then loudly proclaimed "what a waste of time," and I agree. They have wasted months of my time at this point. Additionally, the front desk associate seemed to be training a new employee at the time as well. She was also condescending to the trainee when the trainee was stumbling over some wording on the phone. It probably isn't a stretch to assume the aggressive sales tactics are condoned by the owners of this practice, and I cannot imagine trusting my dental health with such a red flag filled experience from the start.

Was not a fan of the service I got here, all the veneers and fillings I got here broke or came out. I had to get the repaired them in Mexico , the repairs have held up much longer than the work I got here about five years ago did

Best dental exam I have had in years. Cannot remember the last time the dentist performed the oral hygiene procedures. Dr Chan and his staff were very profession and courteous. Hope I will be able to remain a client for a long, long time.

Dr Chan was great. The staff was very nice. The only issue I had was with the new patient forms I got online were not up to date and they had me fill in new ones. Please update your website with the correct forms

Having had decades of experiences with dentists from everything from simple cavities, to crowns, to root canal, Dr. Steven Chan (and his support staff!) was kind and even gentle at each step. Found myself sitting in the chair full of confidence due to the way they run the office (super clean!), and super organized (thanks Sandra!), and due especially to Dr. Chan's knowledge in this arena and the way he answered all my questions. Having his medical degree from UCSF was also a big plus.

Mixed review. Dr. Chan and assistant were fine. He did a good job explaining implants and bridges, with the help of a gigantic tooth model. They took a LOT of X-rays. And they wanted cash up front, so I paid the $90, though I'm not sure what it was for since my insurance covers all X-rays. Evidently, all payments are to be made at the time of service, which seems a little hinky. My main complaint is the delay in getting an appointment. I called them in Feb. for a cleaning, and the earliest they could see me was in April. Long wait, but OK. Then shortly before my April appointment they called to cancel it and reschedule for June. I registered my dismay, to no avail. So I finally got in on June 13, when they did the X-rays and explanations. Then the doc says there's not enough time left for the cleaning and I need to reschedule! Their fault, they saw me half an hour late. So the front desk tells me the earliest they have is Aug. 8!!! I begged, but to deaf ears. So, if I even actually get seen on 8/8, it will have taken me 6 months to get a cleaning appointment. Not good, since I need cleanings every 4 months. I'm not sure I will return to this place, even though I liked Dr. Chan.

The receptionist was very rude! I called multiple times because they were busy, and then they said they couldn't accept me because I called too many times. I would not recommend this office to anyone! Customer service is terrible! Not the type of dentist office I would trust.
