Dr. Richard Lam is the founder of Refine Dentistry, a modern, comfort-driven family, cosmetic, and implant dental practice located in Stafford/Houston, Texas. Highly regarded by professional peers and patients alike, he offers state-of-the-art modalities to help his patients attain long-term, stable oral health.
Dr. Lams journey to become a dentist began after his trip to rural regions of China, where he learned how oral health disparities had negatively impacted the quality of life of many individuals in those communities. Even at a young age, he already started to think about what he could do to help others achieve better oral health. One of his first steps towards achieving his goals in dentistry was to attend the prestigious Michael E. DeBakey High School for Health Professions. After graduating from Texas A&M University with a bachelors degree in biology, Dr. Lam continued his education at the University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston, receiving his Doctorate in Dental Surgery(DDS). As one of the top-performing students of his class, Dr. Lam was a scholarship recipient of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, The National Dental Honor Society that recognizes academic and clinical excellence in dentistry.

I am a new patient at Refine Dentistry and I loved it!! The staff made me feel so welcome and everyone was so kind. I had to reschedule my appointment multiple times and they provided the best service in helping me get a time in! Their new patient forms made me feel comfortable before I even got there and my cleaning didn't take long at all. Also loved how they were able to show me all the pictures and explain everything going on with my teeth - I know more about my teeth now than I ever did. Will definitely be staying with Refine for my regular teeth cleanings and future needs!

I've been a client now for two years. The dental hygienist is so personable and careful on your teeth. The place is stunning from top to bottom and the service is amazing. They extracted my wisdom teeth and the entire experience was so detailed. They also offer affordable in-house memberships for those without insurance!

Its been over a decade that I've been to a dentist office and I couldn't be happier. I made the right choice by coming to Refine Dentistry! Since I walked in the ladies in the front greeted me using my name which was surprising but it felt good, it almost felt like we knew each other and that I had already came here before(which I haven't it was my first time here). My hygienist had so much knowledge and was able to answer every question I had. Great great service. Will definitely recommend to anyone needing a dentist. They make you feel right at home.

The staff is so nice! The doctor is kind and knowledgeable. One of my cats died recently so I was really sad coming in, but they cheered me up! The facilities are top notch and incredibly comfortable. It was like a spa experience! I'm glad I decided to come here.

Unique the dental hygienist was amazing and explained everything thoroughly! I had a great experience with my teeth cleaning and with the new information about Invisalign and veneers. I will keep coming back and recommend friends and family to come as well :)

I love Refine Dentistry!! When you first walk in, the staff meets you with a smile. The office is warm and inviting. Dr. Lam is very patient, kind, professional and willing to answer any questions I might have. He puts my anxiety at ease!! Unique did a very good job with the whole cleaning process; she is very kind and knowledgeable as well. Everyone is awesome at Refine Dentistry! I've finally found a dentist I could trust!!!
