Dr. Hassan grew up in Saratoga, CA and attended the University of the Pacific for his Bachelors degree, Masters degree, and also his Doctorate in Dental Surgery. He continues to pursue education to stay on the cutting edge of new technologies, procedures, and products.
Dr. Hassan became interested in dentistry from his firsthand experience. Having poor oral hygiene as a child and adolescent, he was frequently in and out of a dentists office for treatment. Dealing with sleep apnea, bruxism, and TMJ disorder from a young age gave him huge appreciation for dentistry as it was able to alleviate pain and symptoms from these ailments. If theres anyone who can relate to and provide sound advice to a host of dental problems, its Dr. Hassan.
Zenna is our office manager with 25 years of dental office experience. She began as an assistant and moved up to the front office 15 years ago. Zenna loves to tackle dental insurance problems and make your plan work the best for you. When not at work she enjoys walking her two dogs, spending time with her daughter, a senior in high school, and her husband, Sky, who grew up in Boulder Creek.
Herschel is our lead assistant who handles all the day to day operations in the back office. Herschel grew up in Ben Lomond and would come to this office as a child. He is no stranger to dental visits and is dedicated to making patients feel as relaxed and informed as possible. Herschel is also an artist and enjoys sketching and making comic book art in his free time.

my first time experience was smooth as can be. the office simple, clean, surrounded by the redwoods. the staff friendly and helpful. and Dr. Salmann Hassan with his skills and manner made the entire experience comfortable and professional. a truly 5-star experience!

Upbeat, clean office with state of the art service! Dr Hassan and his staff make sure that you are taken care of. I had the best and most through and gentle cleaning I've ever had! Dr Hassan is really nice and kind, and took time to talk to me about my concerns, options etc. I'm so happy that I've finally found a dentist right in my own hometown! Highly recommend!

My experience as a new patient at Redwood Dental could not have been better. Dr. Hassan & his team were courteous and efficient, and the office itself is modern and immaculately clean. I have a silly amount of anxiety about everything dentist related, but everyone at Redwood Dental was very understanding and went out of their way to put me at ease. Highly recommend!

We chatted, we laughed, and he looked in my mouth. It's always awkward the first time at the dentist. But this was not so bad. It's clean, it's pleasant. I watched some nature documentary while I waited in the chair (not for long), and watching these lemur things jumping from rock to rock gave me more anxiety than the whole dentist experience. I like how he thoroughly explained the plan, and what we are trying to avoid. The whole experience was pretty great, and I'm happy to be a patient at Redwood Dental.

Dr. Hassan and his team always take the time to explain any dental work to be done, will go through X-rays and 3D imaging so you can have a good understanding of any dental issues. I'm glad he's opened his practice in Boulder Creek!

I'm so glad that I started coming to Redwood Dental. When my old dentist retired, I wasn't sure where to go and I'm really glad that I found a place so close to home with such a wonderful staff. Dr. Hassan, Herschel, and Zenna are all wonderful and definitely go the extra distance to make their patients feel comfortable and informed. Thus far I've had a cleaning, whitening, and consultation for cosmetic aligners, all of which have been great. I definitely feel confident recommending Redwood Dental and I'm so glad to support a practice close to home in Boulder Creek

What a wonderful experience! I just started as a new patient with Dr. Hassan, and he and his team were professional and inviting. The office is comfortable with very modern equipment. Appointment confirmation and the whole process was easy and had a tech-forward approach. Grateful to have such a great local dentist!

Redwood Dental was great. They gave me an appointment right away and were very friendly. Dr Hassan took time to figure out exactly what my problem was and make sure I will be comfortable over the holiday weekend. Very nice!

I recently went to the local dental office: Redwood Dental after I resigned from my job with full benefits. The staff is very efficient and go out of their way to make you feel welcome and comfortable. The dentist is professional, friendly and kind. And along with my exam he also cleaned my teeth. Our previous dentist is in San Jose and due to multiple factors, including distance we decided we needed to find one closer to us. My husband and I, and two of our kids just got x-rays and teeth cleanings and it is hands down the best experience I've ever had at a dentist. Both my daughter and I have dentist anxiety. Mine from bad experiences, hers due to being on the autism spectrum. Herschel, Zenna, and Dr. Hassan are all very friendly and make you feel comfortable right off the bat . Every step was explained clearly, and we each got a treatment plan set up based on what Dr Hassan thinks are the highest priorities. If you don't have dental insurance they have a discount program (no membership fee) and also offer CARE Credit. For the first time in my life I'm actually looking forward to going to the dentist and getting my smile restored. I highly recommend Redwood Dental for your oral health needs.
