Dr. Ihab M. Hanna graduated, with honors, in 1994 from Cairo University. Afterwards, he spent three years in training and hospital residency . He completed two years of General practice residency ( 1998-2000 ) at the University of Illinois , as a chief resident, where he acquired additional training in Dental Implants, sedation and special care dentistry.
He had attended Occidental College in Los Angeles, received his medical degree from Tulane Medical School in New Orleans, Louisiana, and completed his specialty training in anesthesia at Stanford University Hospital in Palo Alto.
He had joined the clinical faculty of the Stanford resident training program in anesthesia at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center after completing his post-graduate training. With the exception of several years in Southern California where he was recruited to develop anesthesia services for a heart surgery program, he has practiced in the San Francisco Bay area.
His experience includes delivery of anesthesia for all major surgical subspecialties including cardiac, neuro, high-risk obstetrical, pediatric, spinal cord, burn, major orthopedic and multiple trauma surgeries. His current practice is devoted to providing office-based anesthesia for outpatient surgical and dental procedures. He is licensed by both the Medical and Dental Boards of California to provide anesthesia services.
Dr. Marina is a member of American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and Local Dental Society. She values continuing education and takes an active part in several local study clubs, like SPEAR and Implant Institute.
Prior to becoming a dentist, Dr. Marina was a practicing dental hygienist, seeing patients at Redwood City Dental Care since 2010. After finishing dental school, she returned to Bay Area to resume her passion for prevention and education of oral disease. Dr. Marina takes time to educate patients on proper oral hygiene routine, prevention, treatment of disease and maintenance of oral health.

Dr. Pinal Viraparia and her staff are a pleasure to work with with. I haven't been to a dentist for about 18 years before seeking her out. They're super nice, professional, and skillful in their field. Dr has never made me feel ashamed for my years worth lack of dental hygiene. They make me feel secure for each of my sessions and they go over everything with you before proceeding. I can't recommend her for restoring my teeth, and my smile thanks to her!

June 2021 the owner decided to take down a massive redwood tree on the property, without notifying the apartment building next door. We're forced to deal with the deafening sound of chainsaw right outside for hours on end and sawdust flooding our carports and sticking to our cars. Most of us are still working from home and aren't privileged enough to take a week off work on short notice, let alone leave our apartments for the time being. It's also HOT outside and we have to keep our windows shut for most of the afternoon to keep at least some of our sanity and still be able to work with how noisy it's been. Can't comment on the quality of dental care, but now we know that they're extremely poor neighbors.

I found Redwood City Dental online many years ago. They had amazing reviews, and I understand why. Everyone is so friendly and accommodating. They offer a number of services and products. Everyone is really knowledgeable, there are never any wait times, and they offer new technology so I am not sitting in the dentist chair for too long. Just try them once. I promise you will go back!

I have had a major fear of the dentist since I was 6 years old What's led mean to not take care of my teeth properly out of fear. This dentist is unbelievable I am getting info on the bottom no pain no discomfort prettiest light on and they go out of their way to address my fears and make sure I am calm and comfortable thank you Redwood City Dental for all you've done I have my health and my mouth back highly recommend them to everybody

I don't like going to the dentist at all. The staff and doctors here are so caring and good that I actually now like going to the dentist. THIS dentist office!
