I believe in the true and lifelong art of dentistry and am most passionate about helping and empowering others to be healthy and understand their dental needs. It has always been my goal to see my patients healthy and disease-free. I accomplish this by sharing my knowledge one-on-one and delivering high-quality dentistry.

To me, dentistry is and always has been exciting and challenging because every person and clinical situation is different. I see this as an opportunity to build a personal relationship with every patient and provide them with the best possible care.

New technology and clinical innovations in dentistry are progressing at an amazing rate. I believe it is imperative to stay current through continuing education in all aspects of dentistry. I have consistently completed hundreds of hours of continuing education over the past decade and was honored to be the recipient of the USC School of Dentistrys Outstanding Commitment to Lifelong Learning Award. In 2010, I also became an associate fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and hope to soon become a diplomate in the coming year.

In the 30-plus years I have been practicing dentistry, I have had the opportunity to expand my knowledge in several different areas. I have conducted clinical research in my practice using lasers and CAD/CAM technology, published in the California Journal of Dentistry, and lectured on porcelain veneers, laser dentistry and computer-guided implant dentistry throughout the world.

At Redondo Beach Dental Group, we believe in providing the fine art of dentistry through technology and experience. We are a dedicated group of friendly and patient-oriented doctors, hygienists, assistants and support staff who believe in doing our work right the first time and treating our patients like family members. Many members of my team have been with me for nearly 15 years and have been recognized professionally by their peers over these years. I count myself lucky to work with every one of them.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, I currently live in Rolling Hills Estates with my wife, Laurey, who is also my new patient concierge. We have three grown children, all of whom are married, and have four grandchildren with another one on the way.

I enjoy traveling, golf, backgammon, learning foreign languages (I am fluent in German), outdoor water sports, swimming, boating and cars, both antique and exotic. I am involved in various community fundraisers as well as volunteering one day a week providing dental care to the needy through the nonprofit Childrens Dental Center of Greater Los Angeles.

I fell in love with dentistry from an early age. I had great experiences going to see my dentist as a child even despite having a strong sweet tooth back then. I later discovered how much dentistry was my calling during college while working side-by-side with different dentists in various dental offices. Today, dentistry gives me the satisfaction of being able to care for my patients by focusing on curing conditions in the teeth and gums while working toward achieving a healthy mouth and great smile. I find it gratifying to be able to change patients lives by giving them back their confidence and positive outlook on life through that smile and ability to chew with strong teeth and gums.

One of my overall goals in my work is to give my best every day to ensure that my patients are happy when they leave the office and to also remove the fear that keeps so many individuals from going to the dentist. I do this by showing compassion and working in a calm and gentle manner to instill confidence in my patients, especially the nervous ones. Dentistry is truly an art and science, and I feel fortunate to enjoy the key aspects of this wonderful profession.

I was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama. Growing up in the South gave me a wonderful childhood with great friends and a good education. My parents moved to the United States in 1969 from South America. Most of my summer breaks as a child and young adult were spent with my extended family in Colombia, where I was able to take in my familys culture and language.

I have found it a blessing to be raised bilingual with English and Spanish, and my wife and I are raising our two daughters in a similar fashion. Outside of the home and office, my passion is surfing, traveling and food. I learned how to surf early on during my trips to South and Central America. Whenever I have free time and the waves are good, you will find me out there in the South Bay and SoCal Beaches.

Dr. Pino earned a Bachelor of Science in biology in 2000 and a masters degree in oral biology in 2005, both at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He earned his DDS degree from the Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry in 2009.

In 2010, Dr. Pino completed his residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the University of Pittsburgh, School of Dental Medicine. This program trains residents in comprehensive dental care for patients in the AEGD Dental Clinic, Dental Implant Center and Center for Patients with Special Needs. The AEGD program also trains residents to provide care to medically compromised and physically and developmentally compromised patients.

I love dentistry for the hands-on, personalized aspect of it. Being able to create trust with a patient through thorough exams, taking the time to explain why treatment is needed and performing high-quality dentistry in as comfortable of an environment as possible brings me true joy.

Another reason why I love dentistry is the creative and artistic aspects. There is nothing better than being able to give the gift of a smile to a patient who may have stopped showing their teeth due to discomfort or embarrassment. Not only that, I love being able to give back to my community through dentistry by volunteering my time.

When I was 12 years old, I developed cavities in most of my back teeth. My family dentist was so kind to me, taking a picture of each tooth and explaining to me in detail what was going on and how it could be prevented in the future. He made my experience comfortable and stress-free, and I was never anxious about dental treatment. This is the experience that I aspire to provide for my patients.

I am thrilled to be a part of the amazing team at Redondo Beach Dental Group and will always be looking forward to practicing caring, gentle and compassionate dentistry for patients of all ages. I am passionate about patient education that can lead to prevention of dental issues.

I have also had many opportunities to participate in various dental outreach programs providing free dental care to underserved populations both here and internationally, including El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico and CareNow in Los Angeles. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling and eating delicious food with my husband, Matthew, running half marathons with my father and taking pictures of my cat, Indie.

My goal as a dental hygienist is to understand each patients individual dental needs and help them achieve a healthy smile. I love caring for patients like they are part of my own family. I earn their trust by combining my periodontal expertise and excellent clinical skills to overcome a patients fears or any obstacle that prevents optimal dental health. My passion for dentistry started in 1986. To this day, there is nothing more rewarding for me than when a patient chooses me to be their hygienist. It is truly an honor!

When I am not at work, I love going to the beach to watch and take photos of my husband and two sons surfing. I also enjoy volunteering at my sons schools and at the South Bay Childrens Health Clinic.

My dental career began here in 2005 as an intern and then as a registered dental assistant. I am thankful, looking back, that I started in such a great office! The dentists and team are committed to providing the highest-quality dentistry with the most technologically advanced equipment! In 2009, I transitioned to the front office as a treatment coordinator and discovered how much I loved all the paperwork side of dentistry! Helping our patients understand the treatments our dentists and team recommend and offering them options tailored to their needs to restore their smiles is very rewarding!

As office manager, all my training and experience come into play! Working with such an amazing and dedicated team makes my job easy! Working closely with the doctors and our practice management team helps me understand what it takes to be an even better dental practice!

I am married with two young daughters, Arabella and Isla. We love spending our weekends visiting with family, going to the park or walking our dogs, Gizmo and Banditta! In my spare time, when I actually have some, I love to read, go to the movies and watch The Walking Dead.

I joined the team in 2014 as a treatment coordinator. I help our patients understand the treatment recommended and provide them with doable plans to achieve the dental work they have wanted and needed for so long. I love seeing our patients getting the care they need and having payment options they can afford!

Our doctors are great! They take the time to listen to our patients concerns and help them understand their dental needs. They use all the latest technology, and when paired with their experience, our patients benefit with great results!

When I am not at the office, I spend time with my family and friends, especially my son, Nathan. We love doing things together! Going to Disneyland, riding bikes or just walking along the beach are our favorite things to do!

My role as a registered dental assistant is to assist our doctors with whatever they need, but most importantly, I am here to make our patients feel comfortable. Our priority is to create the best experience for anyone who walks through our doors. I know we accomplished our goal as a team when a patient leaves with a smile on their face.

I grew up in Torrance, and I consider California my home since there is always something to do! I love to explore different places to hike with my dog, Captain. When I am not hiking, you can find me at a concert or festival listening to music. I can almost say that I love listening to music as much as I love trying new foods. I am a foodie connoisseur, and I do not shy away from trying every new restaurant that opens in my city.

I am in the business of keeping smiles healthy and building strong relationships with my patients! I love my profession and love helping my patients maintain healthy mouths. I am proud to have gained their trust and confidence through the education I provide and always giving 100% every day!

I began working in the dental field back in 1990, and my time at our practice has been so rewarding and positive! Our doctors truly care about providing the highest-quality dentistry available and are always providing opportunities for me to learn and keep up with the latest technology in my field.

I am married with two daughters. I love to watch my youngest daughter play softball on the weekends! My oldest just started college in Santa Cruz, and we could not be prouder! I also enjoy reading, movies and working out at the gym in my spare time.

I help my patients with the prevention and treatment of gum disease by providing them with oral hygiene education and my experience from working in a periodontists office for many years. I have been in the dental field since 1983 and with this office since 2005. I love being able to apply my knowledge and experience toward helping my patients look and feel better. The best part of my job is building a relationship with each and every patient and partnering with them to achieve their best dental health!

Our doctors are so great to work with because they are the best at what they do, are highly trained and keep current with all the new dental technology and materials. They are always providing new opportunities for me to learn and become better at what I do. They also make work a lot of fun!

At home, I am married and have a daughter. We keep very busy with all of her activities! When we have the time, my husband and I love traveling to Californias beautiful wine country to taste wine and enjoy the wonderful food!

I am so proud to be working for a dental practice with a heart that invests so much time and money for the patients to get the quality work they deserve and smiles they truly love! As the new patient concierge, I understand how difficult it can be choosing a new dentist. It is my pleasure to welcome all new patients warmly and answer all their questions, schedule their first visits, and obtain their insurance information for them. I will always go the extra mile for all of our patients. The best part of my job is getting to know all of our wonderful patients over the years. I have had so many amazing conversations with our family of patients, and it has earned me some great friendships.

I am an East Coast girl at heart who has fallen in love with the California weather since arriving here in 1981. I love to entertain family and friends and have an arsenal of table linens and dcor in my garage.

Mostly, I am grateful for my husband and family, especially my weekly grandma day with all my grandchildren. My guilty pleasures are Words With Friends online, traveling with my wonderful husband, and composing stories and poetry.

What I love most about my job is seeing our patients smile! Those smiles mean so much to me and are my reward for a job well done! I make sure everyone is comfortable and at ease while providing them with the highest level of professional and friendly care.

I love working with our dentists because I learn something new from them every day. They always go above and beyond to ensure we have the best equipment, training and technology at our fingertips to give our patients the best experiences theyve ever had in a dental office!

I moved to the United States from Ukraine in 2002. I love to travel, and my favorite place in the world is Bora Bora! Las Vegas holds a special place in my heart, too! I am a huge animal lover and have rescued two dogs from the shelter, whose names are Bebe and Jersey. I also love to go shopping, spend time at the beach, cook, make gift baskets and decorate.

I am happily married with two wonderful daughters! We are the ultimate Disney family! My husband even proposed to me there on Christmas day in front of the castle! I have a very big family, so there is always something to do or celebrate every weekend!

As a registered dental assistant, one of the greatest benefits of my job is being able to interact with patients every day. There is never a dull moment working with a team that is dedicated to providing our patients with the highest quality of care. Part of our team culture is to cultivate friendships, which is why we view our patients as family.

I grew up in Los Angeles and am married with three wonderful kids. We love spending time at the park and Chuck E. Cheese. To us, everywhere we go becomes a playground! Our favorite game to play is Uno, and I am confident to say that I am the champ. My favorite food would have to be chicken salads with a side of pizza!

We care so much for our patients! I am honored to be a part of such a hardworking team of people who ALL care so much for our patients and are dedicated to providing the best dental care possible! I have worked here since 2005 primarily as an assistant to the doctors and have been cross-trained to work in all aspects of the front office, and I am accountable for our practice being 100% OSHA-compliant. I am amazed every day at how caring and compassionate our doctors are! They are all such great teachers. I could not ask for a better job!

My family is the best! My loving husband and two beautiful girls fill my heart and days with happiness! We love just spending our time together. Some of our favorite things to do are going to the beach, eating great food and going to amusement parks. Did I mention I LOVE Vegas?
