The most exciting part was that they covered me with a blanket & gave me a pillow to lay on through the crown dentistry work. That made me truly feel like royalty.

I came to this dentistry a couple years ago after my previous dentist routinely cancelled my appointments at the last minute and had insanely long waiting room times when they didn't cancel it- this place is great for more than the fact that they're SUPER respectful of peoples time (I've never waited for more than MAYBE 10 mins for an appt here ever- usually I get called in immediately). The staff is all super friendly, I've seen 3 different hygienists and all were great, and I really like Dr. Damian- she is so nice and knowledgeable. I've had to go in for one follow up procedure for a cavity fill and they did a great job with that. All good things, they'll keep my family's business!

After a long absence from the dentist's office, I finally faced the music and made an appointment with Red Rocks Family Dentistry. They could not have been more accommodating, friendly, and professional. Zero shame from them while being uplifting and kind. Thank you for easing my anxiousness and fear and formulating a plan for success.

IMPORTANT MUST READ! After recently being told I would lose a tooth from too much decay, I started to wonder how Dr Damian & crew had failed to diagnose and treat the initial cavity in the tooth. I also wondered how, after the decay got worse and more obvious, Dr D still failed to diagnose it and recommend I go to an endodontist for a root canal to save the tooth. After all, I'd been a patient of hers for around 3 years, am an avid flosser, have always been very aggressive about caring for and treating my teeth, and had JUST had a 6-month cleaning where she found nothing wrong with the tooth! Since the tooth was now abscessed and I was in excruciating pain, I luckily decided to have it looked at by a few other dentists/endodontists I consulted. One of them took a full set of x-rays at my request, and that's when I found out just how bad my care at Red Rocks Family Dentistry (RRFD) had been, and just how much damage had been done over the last 3 years. In the x-rays my new dentist/endodontist pointed out tooth after tooth (5 teeth in all) with what he called "advanced decay"; 2 teeth he said were so decayed that they couldn't be saved and both had to be pulled (1 of these Dr D had just gotten a pre-authorization to simply crown days earlier?), a 3rd tooth he said had so much decay it would require an immediate root canal to save (this tooth Dr D had just put a crown on THE PREVIOUS DAY??), and lastly he pointed out advanced decay in 2 other teeth, 1 of which he said may also require a root canal to save. In my shock, and able to see it all in the x-rays myself, I asked how so much decay could have gone undiagnosed and untreated for so long and the dentist replied "I don't like to criticize other dentist's work, but this is pretty obvious decay that should have been treated". That kind of critique of a fellow dentist's work is almost unheard of, yet it was echoed by 2 other dentists/endodontists I consulted at this time. So I'm now looking at over $10,000 (after benefits) to correct all the untreated carnage left by Dr Damian and crew. If you're a current patient I do encourage you to immediately go have a full set of x-rays done for your own peace of mind, even if you think you've received wonderful care at RRFD! There's a very "comforting" place that takes Medicaid/Medicare and will do a new patient complete set of x-rays for under $30. If you're NOT a patient of RRFD but are considering becoming one you should ask yourself, as I did, how so much decay in a single patients mouth went undetected and untreated for so long, and if taking the risk is worth losing your teeth over? The fact is, and it can't be disputed, that Dr Damian and her crew regularly fail to recognize or simply ignore decay, and when she does attempt to treat it it's inadequate, resulting in her routinely crowning over what's been described as "obvious" and "advanced decay" that she's left behind. There's just no excuse that could be given for it that has made sense to anyone I've consulted with on this matter. Btw, I notice in their response to negative feedback, RRFD likes to blame the patient. As I've said, and my previous dentists will confirm, I'm very aggressive about flossing and treating my teeth, and despite being on Medicaid, and even when it means paying out of pocket, I always do all recommended work. All I need and naturally depend on is my dentist to provide a standard level of care, and to diagnose and fix problems before they become bigger problems and I end up losing multiple teeth. Through their negligence, Dr Damian and Red Rocks Family Dentistry have failed to provide even this minimum level of care.
